I like this, I graduated as a MECHANICAL ENGINEER but later added up to ELECTROMECHANICAL ENGINEERING. during my school days as a PRODUCTION ENGINEER(as an option), LATHE MACHINE is our chief machine, we had up to 10 LATHE MACHINES & up to 4 CNC MACHINES but the school management never allowed us close to the machines to talk more of allowing us practice what we were studying but only they does was once in a time telling us from afar the component of the machines and their operations but at the end of our graduation ONLY 98% of so called PRODUCTION ENGINEER were not able to handle the MULTI PURPOSE MACHINE in operation. also they were calling BOLT & NUTS by their engineering codes like M10X50. M20X100 etc. .but never explained what they meant by that but we normally call them 10BOLT & NUT, 12BOLT & NUT etc. tastfarward to my INDUSTRIAL TRAINING(IT) i was lucky to be accepted in SEVENUP BOTTLING COMPANY, to me i believe NYSC should be deleted while encouraging IT's. I put down my self on the floor to get what i never had in school.i am a good MACHANIST today because i went to IT, I can tell the number of BOLTS & NUTS on seeing without matching it with a spanner, i am a WELDER today because i never interested with the five thousand stippend(#5000) but to be called a PRACTICAL ENGINEER which i am proud of today. my surprise when i got back to school; my colleagues in school was seeing me as a god when they saw me operating on the LATHE & other MACHINES in the school workshop, FINALLY; during our final project, due to the nature of the project and its complexity(AUTOMATED ELECTRONIC INDUCTION FURNACE) we were given the project as a group, when the group agreed to out contract the fabrication which the man failed to do then i took up the FABRICATION BY MY SELF & my mates & some lecturers were amazed & happy on seeing me doing it so IT HELPS especially in ENGINEERING FIELD. |
i loved the story, keep it up bro. |

Seems this people thought us to be ILLITERATES, so meter now generates power abi? but if i'm not mistaken, we learnt that the device called METER is just a MEASURING INSTRUMENT and nothing else then i don't know that MEASURING DEVISE now generates power. if so, i am going to sell off my GENSETS & buy MEASURING METERS to power my village. |
If APC blames pipe line vandals for poor power supply, then what about our HYDRO PLANTS? then what of COAL FIRED PLANT that needs rehabilitation? so HYDRO PLANTS & COAL FIRED PLANTS NOW are using propane gas now abi? nawaooo. anyway, they said that A BAD WORKMAN ALWAYS BLAME HIS TOOLS. |
Mine was when i got to the company(power generating company) i was stopped by one of the security men and his question was WHO YOU DEY LOOK FOR? then I troway salute to him " GOOD AFTERNOON SIR" which i told him my mission after he replied my salute, then he told me that nothing like employment is going on in the company that i should go then when i stepped out about 3 feet span someone greeted the same man with our local language which i turned back to correct my self by greeting him the TRIBE GREETING, then guess what!! the same man asked me where i come from which he later knew to be the tribe of him then he called me out and told me that he never knew i was his brother, that the information(there is nothing like employment here) was a lie but the truth about it is that there is ONGOING SECRETE EMPLOYMENT IN THE COMPANY and his final infor was"" you better go see if there is any body wey know any oga here. I became tired even to go was problem to me. |
check valve and non return valve are the same. they were designed for one purpose and that is to ALLOW THE PASSAGE OF FLUID THROUGH ONE DIRECTION. the difference between the two valves are MANUFACTURING NAME. |
TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN
Dear Sir,
THE UGLY ORDEAL-2015 NAPTIN GRADUATE;
SURE-P/T-VET SPONSORED
Good morning Sir.
We are the successful 184 young Nigerian
Mechanical and Electrical Engineers out of 220 that
underwent training with the power sector of this
country, which was organized by the National
Power Training Institute of Nigeria (NAPTIN) and
sponsored by TVET/SURE-P. A letter dated 10th
April, 2014 was sent to us in respect of that. In the
said letter, it was clearly stated as follows
"...Please note that the sponsor of this program
TVET/SURE-P, has fully paid for your participation,
and as such you will not be required to make any
payment. In addition, TVET/SURE-P would provide
free accommodation, and pay monthly stipends
throughout the 12 months duration of the
program."
Sir, it is important to let you know that an extract
in the program of events for the induction
ceremony reads thus "A memorandum of
understanding has been signed between NAPTIN
and SURE-P to fund the training of young Nigerian
Mechanical and Electrical Engineers as a way to
building capacity for the power sector which will
readily absorb them after the training"
Sir, having mentioned a few of what prompted
most of us to embark on the training, resigning
and/or withdrawing from our various places of
works, it is regretted that till date we are yet to be
absorbed into the power sector as stated in the
said program of event.
Sir, the power sector reform by the presidency
and/or the Federal government is targeted, among
other things, at training the Nigerian youths, who
are to be meaningfully engaged in the power
sector of this country to contribute positively to the
industry, unfortunately some people are interested
in sabotaging the effort."
Sir, there is no gain to state that the training cost
for each of us was estimated at about N3, 000,
000. 00 (Three Million Naira), which amounts to
N552, 000, 000. 00 (Five Hundred and fifty-two
Million Naira) for the 184 persons. We don't want
to believe that the Federal government of our
country- Nigeria is interested in being wasteful.
Sir, it is rather worrisome and regretted that with
about 184 trained/skilled engineers (in the power
sector), the country through "man know man" still
went ahead to hand-picked about 150 unskilled
persons and drafted them to work in the various
arms of the power industry.
Our demands therefore are as follows;
1. The immediate employment of the said 184
merit graduates successful trainees to TCN or by
its other Government sister Power agencies.
2. That FG should mandate NAPTIN to stop the
present advert for admission which it has posted
both online and in the National dailies, till our
pressing issues are attended to.
3. That the FG through Ministry of Power should
mandate all Private Companies (Gencos and
Discos ) and Public (TCN, NERC, etc) to grant the
graduates of NAPTIN the right of first refusal during
employment as it still retains 30-40% ownership of
stake in such companies.
Sir, through this medium, we solicit that you use
the necessary means and your good office to wade
into this matter, stop this misnomer and ensure
that the trained and skilled personnel are being
engaged in the power sector to give back to our
country for spending huge amount of money and/
or resources in training us, which will enhance the
quality of service in delivering of quality electrical
power to our country.
Long live The Federal Republic of NIGERIA.

tubouncen:I can stand to argue on this. whether you like it or not, both POWER PLANTS, SUB-STATIONS and RAIL WAY STATIONS now ready to be commission are GEJ's projects |
EFCC where una dey? I think otti's wealth should be checkmate. now otti is challenging the appellant verdict on his favour because he was never sworn in as he planed his game which bounced back on him. anyway LAWYERS must eat, pay their children's school fees, change their cloth and same time change their cars. his(otti) lawyers knows too well that so called otti is a nobody in the world of politics because with things happening to him, shows that otti's brain of reasoning is unstable. imagine that one lawyer will approach him with one brain which he(the lawyer) will paint with one of their terminologies in a way of extorting money from him/withdrawing money from their ATM MACHINE called otti. anyway, one adage says that what is gotten from the side of teeth also goes that way. hahahaha I am assuring so called otti that after this game he got himself into, HE WILL NEVER COME CLOSE TO POLITICS AGAIN even his unborn great grand children |
My dear sister, i had a similar issues like that back then in school and also where i worked, when the lady packed into my lodge I liked her but too early to say it out but later on a guy was frequenting her house which kept me mute but after I graduated she called me a WICKED FELLOW with reason i never approached her while she was waiting for me to say I LIKE YOU not even LOVE YOU that she was ready to sleep on my bed so My dear, I think you've said one of the reasons he might be shy( YOU ARE WORKING WHILE HE IS STILL IN SCHOOL) some of us guy do find it difficult to approach a lady beyond us financially. also some ladies use to look down on guys they feels he wont have something to offer them(girls). So my dear poster, pls keep ego and pride behind you and go for what you want, just get close to him and study his character you might be amazed that you both are compatible. to me i don't buy the ideology that all guys will look down on girls who approach them first because to me, I will always have such girl who approached me first on a high esteem/respect so go ahead and pour out your mind. GOODLUCK. |
WisdomCanada:Aba is NGWALAND so if you think you can stop the ngwan from protest even forcing you to close your shop then come out and say it. what stops you from coming back to aba for your business? anyway, otti can never sit on that sit. after few weeks from now, your so called otti will hide his face in shame and also from those he leaned from. NGWA can never be defeated. what stops that otti from being sworn in? maybe he would be sworn in a MATCHES BOX. |
na lie be this. K, lets reason it this way that it was inserted when the dick is rigid but what stops it from falling off when it goes limp? or It was inserted when the dick is limp already, then if at all that it was not force fitted which i believe it didn't so it (nut) should also come out. so with those facts above, I believe it to be PHOTOSHOP. |
Rossikk:YOUR ENTIRE GENERATION CAN NEVER ATTAIN OVI'S HEIGHT OK. HE IS EVEN TRYING TO BUILD, I WILL EVEN ADVICE HIM TO POCKET HIS MONEY AFTER ALL HE IS NOT THE FIRST GOVERNOR OF ABIA STATE. IDIOTS THAT CAN NEVER APPRECIATE A GOOD THING |
