The Incident, which happened around 10 am Friday morning along Agbani Road, saw the gunmen also burning four cars belonging to different customers.
Our correspondent who visited the scene of the incident, learned that the gunmen, numbering four, had come into the in a Toyota Corolla Car.
They were said to have snatched the nuzzles from the pump attendants and used the nuzzle to splash fuel on the cars close to the pump and set them on fire.
It was further gathered that the gunmen also poured fuel into a 25 liter can with which they used to splash fuel on the three vehicles in the nearby car wash within the premises and set them ablaze.
Men of the Enugu State Fire and emergency service, also were seen battling to put out the fire while the state commissioner of police, led his team to quickly assess the level of damage caused by the incident.
On the whole, while the filling station was touched, four vehicles were burnt beyond recognition.
The incident was said to have caused panic in the area, forcing business owners and residents around that axis to quickly shut down.
Policemen also cordoned off the Agbani Road, thereby forcing motorists and commuters to use alternatives routes through Emeka Ebola to Amokwe and Uwani to Nise Bus Stops.
This is the second time the hoodlums would attack Pinnacle Filling station, owned by Governor Peter Mbah.
In June last year, the station at New Haven was attacked with police operatives foiling an attempt to totally raze the place down.
This followed the governor’s sustained battle against sit-at-home in the state and general insecurity, a development that had since rattled some criminal elements. Source: https://thenationonlineng.net/breaking-four-vehicles-burnt-as-unknown-gunmen-attack-filling-station-in-enugu/

Car Talk › Re: My Corolla With Venza Engine Gulping Up Fuel Like Water (details Inside) by NaijaCover(m): 12:22am On Sep 20, 2024 |
BlindAngel: Good morning Nairalands
After my never ending fuel gulping battle with my Toyota Camry, I later ended up buying a 2012 Toyota Corolla.
I went with my mechanic to a car stand to get it, when we got there we saw different kinds/types of corolla. My mechanic told me some are 1.8l engine while others are 2.0l and a lot of the corolla uses venza engine.
I wanted to buy any of the corolla of 1.8L engine but my mechanic told me that they're old model, that I should get a recent corolla with Venza engine, but I refused when I heard the word "venza engine"
I told my mechanic that over my dead body will I jump from frying pan to fire, from Camry to Venza. I said so because since the corolla is using Venza engine, it'd surely gulp up fuel like Venza, which would be a lot worst than a camry.
But my mechanic assured me that what I said is very false, that it won't. That a corolla is a corolla and corollas doesn't eat fuel.
His words really calmed me down and I bought the 2012 corolla.
So I bought 8k fuel to test the fuel usage and see how long it'd last, I know I should have bought more, but I needed to get a faster result.
Well, it turns out that my mechanic tricked me and I'm in so much pains right now, my 8k fuel only went for 31km before the fuel got exhausted, I later realized that I was very much right and shouldn't have listened to my mechanic that a corolla is a corolla, venza engine or small 1.8L engine.
From my observation, it seems the 2012 corolla is gulping up fuel like a venza. Yesterday, I took it to a mechanic and asked them to fix anything that'd make the car to gulp up fuel, they changed the plugs, cleaned the filter, I will be testing it today with another 8k fuel, I pray and I hope that it won't be as bad as it was yesterday, because I'm so depressed right now, after what my camry did to me which made me went for a corolla, now I'm having same issue with my corolla. I'm really so down right now. If You Want To Buy Motor, Go To BENIN City In Edo State And Thank MR BLOGGER much later. Better Sell Off, that Corolla Car Now And Get Better Corolla Car That has Catalyst Inside, It helps To save fuel consumption in Corolla Car |
