Six students of Federal University Lokoja, FUL, and a driver have been feared dead as an articulated vehicle rammed into the institution’s shuttle bus on Monday.

According to an eyewitness, the incident occurred at about about 2.30 pm on Monday.

DAILY POST gathered that six students including the driver of the FUL shuttle bus lost their lives during the accident.

According to the source, the articulated vehicle was carrying woods and Jerry cans of palm oil heading towards the Abuja axis.

“Unfortunately, the driver lost control and rammed into the FUL shuttle bus already filled up with students and was about to convey them to school.

“The shuttle bus was crushed by the articulated vehicle,” the source said.

Officers of the Federal Road Safety Commission, FRSC,were on ground to rescued some victims that were trapped under the articulated vehicle.

The Kogi State Sector Commandant of the FRSC, Samuel Oyedeji who led his team to the scene of the accident could not confirm the numbers of casualties in the accident.

While noting that bodies have been deposited in the morgue for identification, the sector commander, however, disclosed that those that were injured have been moved to Federal Teaching Hospital, Lokoja, and Kogi State Specialist Hospital for treatment.

As you can see the username of the operator, you should have known his intentions.

Even as the news is legit but the username of the operator is enough to ignore it and wait for another user to publish it before pushing it to front page.

The foolish operator just concentrate on Anambra and Eastern news. Even if he sees over 1000 news from his source, he will just single out and publish Anambra and Eastern negative news.

Hiding bad news from your region in nairaland will not help you because other credible sources still have it and when they rank East as safest region, you guys will begin to lament as usual.
