luck was on our side
Let's face the truth we are no match for italy.
Inagine the no of chances balloteli misused
After all is said and done,we still put up a good fight, thumbs up supereagles.
Wetin i talk before d match ??.If we win or draw, dem go say na luck.Who tell balotelli make him no score ?.That was a wonderful game 4rm our boyz joor.Considering dat they didnt have enough rest, after playing ethiopia just two days ago.You could see mikel was exhausted.
Good result !

Sports2013 The Best Year Ever In Nigerian Football ? by naijanoni(op): 4:23pm On Nov 18, 2013
AFRICAN CHAMPIONS !!!!
U/17 WORLDCUP CHAMPIONS !!!
WORLDCUP QUALIFICATION !!!
All in One Year !!!!!!.
This achievement only in 2013 is unmatched by any country in the world this year.
I'm tempted to conclude that 2013 is the best year ever in nigerian football.
But i still remember 1994.What a great year that was.

1994 Achievements :-African Champions + Worldcup Round of 16.

2013 Achievements:-African Champions + U-17 worldcup champions + Worldcup Qualification

Which year do u think was better in terms of achievements in nigerian football ?
SportsRe: Nigeria Vs Italy - International Friendly: (2 - 2) On 18th November 2013 by naijanoni(m): 6:06pm On Nov 17, 2013
I havent seen moses in action against a non-african team, would love to see him play tommorow.
I'll love dis team to start :-
Ejide,Ambrose,Egwueke,oboabona,Echiejile,Onazi,Reuben,Ogu,Nsofor,Dike,Ideye.

If this team can keep d game goaless till half-time,forget it nigeria will win d match because in d 2nd half when keshi unleashes
Moses,mikel,musa,Emenike,Italy own don finish.
Just like d S.A game.Though italy no bi S.A,d same strategy of bringing d best in d 2nd half should be used.
If a team consisting majority of home-based eagles could hold catalunya that has more stars than italy,i see no reason why d starting XI i listed cant do d same against italy 4 just 45 minutes.

SportsRe: 5 Nigerians Among CAF Shortlist For African Player Of The Year Award by naijanoni(m): 3:37pm On Nov 17, 2013
Someone told me dat its like CAF's got something against players dat have represented foreign countries before, who only switched nationality in less than two years. Those players cant be nominated.
Dont know how true is dat.But dat is d only valid reason for why moses wasnt nominated.
SportsRe: Nigeria Vs Ethopia - Who Is Your Man Of The Match? by naijanoni(m): 9:39pm On Nov 16, 2013
donpetros: the match was just somehow especially the second half. Thank God we won shao!
Nsofor, enyama, oboabona and mikel played a nice game, emenike and ideye missed chances that could have been converted while musa is still struggling to direct his pull outs.
.mikel ke ??.U no even mention onazi.Onazi clearly the man-of-the-match.
SportsRe: Player Ratings For The Nigeria Vs Ethiopia Game by naijanoni(m): 9:37pm On Nov 16, 2013

kobonaire: So why do none of them ever become super stars? Why do they fizzle out when the reach the age of 25 (because real age is close to 40). Learn to debate in a civil manner. Even 'dogs' show more etiquette than you have wink
Sorry for that. But Why do people use past eaglets to judge dese current ones ?.
Didnt u watch d worldcup ??
So u have eyes and yet u couldnt see a difference is those eaglets compared to d past ones??.
And fizzling out really has nothing to do with being over-aged.It has been happening not only to nigeria.
Having a great U/17 tournament doesnt mean u'll go ahead to have great career. Most of these players get exploited by evil football agents who would sell them out to even d indian league just to make money 4 demselves. Some of dese players arent guided well and end up making wrong decisions. There are A lot of factors to consider.
How many players 4rm the spain 2007 team we defeated in d finals are doing well now ??.Only de gea.Where is bojan, marcheda and d rest ?.Same with d germany team only kroos is doing very well now.Where are d rest ??.
I can begin to list past winners of d U/17 worldcup and past stars of d U/17 worldcup from other countries who faded out completely. You would see a lot of countries have been worse than nigeria. From d 2009 U/17s
Nigeria has more players currently doing well than d swizz who won d cup.The likes of Onazi,Omeruo,Azeez came from dat set and are doing well in top leagues.
But how many players 4rm dat swizz team are doing well ??
Mexico have been doing well in d U/17s recently, but how many of the players have become/became stars ??
So it isnt just a nigerian thing,its a general thing,even happening to spain,brazil,germany e.t.c.
Some players go on to have a good career, some players fade out.
40 percent of d nigerian starting XI dat played today came 4rm d U/17s(Mikel,Onazi,Echiejile,Omeruo,nsofor).
Many great countries cant boast of dat.Kanu,Oruma, obasi, taiwo e.t.c came 4rm d U/17s too. These players had a decent career.
Im quite aware nigeria has been horribly cheating in d past, but i saw a huge difference in dis present set. They were really young. And im not going to use d past sets to judge dis present ones.
Why dont u wait for d next 5 years 1st to see how d players 4rm dis particular set fare, before u begin to judge them??
SportsRe: Nigeria Vs Ethiopia- WCQ (2 - 0) On 16th November 2013 by naijanoni(m): 7:16pm On Nov 16, 2013
Ogenyi Onazi and Omeruo my stand-out performers today.
Onazi is the most underrated player in that team. But unfortunately,in all his good work in dat midfield, only mikel takes all d praise.Dont know why.IMO Onazi has been better dan mikel in recent matches.

Emenike didnt show up today.Musa tried and was a threat with his pace on d wings, but his finishing was poor.
Moses did well in dat no.10 role,at least compared to oduamadi in past games,he was 10 times better. But his touches at times were poor.
Our two center backs were fantastic.Omeruo-Oboabona is a match made in heaven.Omeruo showed we really missed him in dat defence. But our full-backs were awful.Echiejile and ambrose constantly misplacing passes.
Ideye tried.Energetic and good work-rate but u cant take away d fact dat he is a poor finisher.

Keshi should try and find a real, proper attacking midfielder with good vision and good passing skills. All dese experiments of playing strikers/wingers in attacking midfield aint working.
Though moses did a decent job there, but playing moses there aint utilizing his skills to d fullest.Same thing brendan rodgers is doing in liverpool.Moses is more of a threat on d wings. And that is were he should play.Ramon azeez,Aluko and Haruna need to be tested in friendlies.
IMO musa and ideye are good players.Good to have dem in d team. But they'll be better as super-subs.
Our front 3 should be Moses-Emenike-Aluko.
Ideye and musa should be impact subs.

chunny01: Wat is great about dis goal now. 9ja was playing badly against d worst team
Mumu go and play now,go and score. The free-kick was great !!.
Worst team ??.I swear dis ethiopians go murder egypt.
Any team nigeria beat na worst team for some people eye.If we beat italy, dem go say na luck we use or italy no bring their stars or italy weren't serious.
Anu ofia nigerians.
SportsRe: Nigeria Vs Ethiopia- WCQ (2 - 0) On 16th November 2013 by naijanoni(m): 6:06pm On Nov 16, 2013
Underwhelming performance i must say.The players lacked coordination. But whats most important is that we have qualified for d worldcup. Those talking shiit about d worldcup should know dat, there's still 8 months to d worldcup. So there is enough time 4 improvement and preparation.
Da real shiit is dat naija is already in brazil.Moaners can keep on moaning.Moaning is the only thing pathetic nigerian fans do best.
SportsRe: 5 Nigerians Among CAF Shortlist For African Player Of The Year Award by naijanoni(m): 1:59pm On Nov 16, 2013
Soso990240: judgin by AFCON,sunday mba deserve to be there.Nigerian mentality, who scored d winning goal against almighty ivory coast? Who scored afcon winnin goal?
Moses had a better afcon dan mba.
Without moses individual brilliance against ethiopia, would nigeria have dreamt of qualifying out of d group stage ?.Without moses scoring those 2 goals would mba have dreamt of scoring in d quater-finals or ever scoring for nigeria?.IMO moses two goals against ethiopia was more important than mba's goals.
If moses hadnt scored those goals, that afcon would go down as one of nigeria's worst afcon ever.
Packing our bags home after only d group stage.
Moses started d attack for most of d goals nigeria scored at dat afcon.
Moses was KEY to both nigeria winning d AFCON and chelsea winning d europa league.Mba did nothing apart 4rm those two goals. Was allmost inactive in club football.Moses deserves to be among d 25 ahead of musa and mba ahead of gervinho and many players there.
Music/RadioRe: Your Favourite Track From Eminem's New Album "MMLP2" ? by naijanoni(op): 9:23am On Nov 16, 2013
RSAMAN: yeah lil wayne and 2chains are crap but you have been listening to them while you've been waiting for eminem to drop his album, haven't you? There are alot of talented rappers out there, you just have to know where to look, you don't have to listen to what the radio is feeding you but instead do research on your own and you'll find out that there is plenty great rap albums that came out this year, i've been jamming to them and even forgot that eminem had his album planned this year and haven't listened to it just yet, and believe me eminem is one of my favorites.

Top rap albums released/To be released this year:

R.A The Ruggedman - Legends never die

Deltron3030 - The event ii

Hopsin - Knock madness

Diabolic - Fightin' Words
Yah man.I love hopsin. Those are real LYRICAL rappers. Not ABCD rappers who only rap about womanliness and money.

leggo: Nigerian players that will burn out by the time they are 30?? when i was 13 i didnt look that rugged and aged .. Deep down we all know they are are age cheats, even the most 'patriotic' of us
Rugged ?.U have eyes to see and u still call dese rugged ?.Abi u were looking at d coaches at d back.
.Not everybody in d pics are players oh.Some of them(at d back) are coaches.
And not everybody in d pic are in d current U/17 team. The poster mentioned only about 4 of dem are members of d current U/17 team, and they are d ones in d front row.Maybe You were malnourished when u were young, but not every 13yr old must look d way u looked when u were 13.
3yrs ago,17-3=14yrs.
This is d way an average 14yr old nigerian looks my friend.
Normal
17yr olds hardly look lyk these(the guys in d front row of d pic).

You forget many of dese guys would have gone thru hardship and would def look older.
