@Omar22 even moses stands a chance too. Won d AFCON-Was one of the best players in d tournament. Won the Europa League-Was arguably chelsea's best player in d tournament if not torres.He scored d winner in all chelsea's matches right 4rm d quarter-finals.He missed d finals due to injury. Made 42 appearances for chelsea,Scored 10 goals. Has been great since his moved to liverpool.Has been a regular starter. National team performance far better than yaya toure's. How about that ?? |

The first choice combination in d chelsea midfield for important games was Mikel-Ramires. Lampard and luiz were only rotating with the two of them. If u kept up with d news u would have heard of the british media criticizing benitez for benching english players Terry,Cahill and Lampard.Benitez only gave lampard a chance to break his record at d very ending of d season(the last 3games) due to pressure from d british media and fans. You can go to d chelsea website to check mikel's stats. Despite being out for about more than a month during afcon,injured in march/april for 4 weeks(more than 10 league games were played during these periods).Mikel still started 20 league games for chelsea,came on only 3 times from d bench.In all he made a total of 23 appearances out of a possible 38 in d league. He started a total of 12 games in non-league matches(FA Cup,Capital 1 cup,champions league) and came on only 2 times 4rm d bench.So in all competitions,he started a total of 32 matches and came on from d bench 6 times.In total 38 appearances in all competitions.Remember he missed a total of more than 10 league games when he was out 4 more dan a month during afcon and when he was injured in march/april for 4weeks.And remember benitez's rotation policy.Hardly any player including mata and hazard started 3 games in a row.Every player was rotated. I dont know how that means sitting on d bench to u. |

I havent seen any player in dis U17 dat has beards or even a mustache. Many 17yr olds in nigeria look older than dese boys.And to say 17yr olds cant shoot 4rm outside is very foolish of u. Secondary school students even JSS2,JSS3 that are 12/13yrs play school competitions in standard stadiums for 90 minutes and shoot 4rm far distant.Is it now 17yr olds dat wouldnt be able 2 do dat.When i was in secondary school players in JSS2 and JSS3 dat are 12-14yrs were going to represent my skul in inter-school football competitions in d national stadium,playing 4 90minutes.Not to talk of 17yr olds. The average age of nigerians writing WAEC is 17yrs.And many of these players were said to be in SS3 preparing 4 WAEC. I heard Chigozie Obasi is even an SS1 student. So boy no dey talk rubbish. If Jay Jay Okocha had won a trophy during d peak of his career,he would have won d african player of the year award.Becos his performance during his time was far better than the africans that were winning d award then. Trophies matters a lot especially when it comes to African player of the year awards. 1 Like |

@Omar22 Katongo won only d afcon and did nothing great after that both for his country and club.Was playing for a poor club in a poor league.But he still won d BBC African Footballer of d year award last yr. How about that ??. Compare that to mikel dat has been consistent ever after winning d afcon and playing for one of d best clubs in europe and even won a big trophy with d club(europa league).Participated in d confeds cup and was outstanding.Qualified his team for d worldcup(in anticipation). |

Concerning bale,PFA player of d year is a different case.Trophies dont matter in league awards.But it does most times in continental and world awards. Yaya toure didnt win any trophy,even a tea cup or a plastic cup.And last season was 1 of his worst seasons.He didnt really perform well for city 4rm January-July if u are to use individual performance. Its this season that he has really picked up and has been terrific. But if u check,most african player of the year winners in d past were given d award based on their performance 4rm January to august and not their performance in d recent seasons. IMO mikel has a strong chance of winning it becos of the trophies he won.He won d afcon and was one of nigeria's best players. He won d europa league too. Based on national team performance mikel has been africa's best player not just by afcon,but all the matches played this year.But yaya toure has been underwhelming.Yaya is far behind mikel in national team performance. At club level no doubt yaya surpasses mikel,but mikel too has been good for chelsea recently. Katongo won d afcon last year but was nowhere to be found both for national team and club after that.He didnt do anything great after dat afcon and he was playing 4 a useless club and useless league. His case is not d same as mikel becos:- 1)Mikel plays 4 a big club unlike katongo 2)Mikel didnt only win d afcon,he also won a trophy with a big club.A european trophy for dat matter. 3)Mikel didnt fade into d blue after winning d afcon like katongo.He has been active and great 4 both club and country since winning it. So u cant compare mikel's case with katongo or any zambian player. And besides many african players won trophies last year wit their clubs to surpass katongo's afcon trophy. But this year NO african player in any big club and top league won a trophy dis year aside Mikel and Moses. Only Kwadwo asamoah of ghana and Juve won a recognized trophy with a big club this year aside mikel and moses.But he is far behind compared to mikel or moses.Mikel deserves to win it but he might not.But anyways im very certain he and victor moses would be in d final 3 shortlist. De Tus: Keshi should draft Ihenacho to the Super Eagles. He's very deadly at balls and that we'll have twin Biafran striker that destroy any opponent at the World Cup.He should graduate to d U/20 1st.We shouldnt rush him.In d next 2 yrs he'll be about 18 or 19yrs,by then he'll be matured enough to play 4 d eagles.He is just 16 or 17 atm. 1 Like |
