This is the same Niger Deltans that stole and converted Igbo properties when they returned from war. Igbos were protected by the military to avoid Lynching by the Niger Deltans. You must be very foolish to think Niger Deltans will join Igbos in a Biafra nation. We seem to forget so quickly. |

IfGodbeforus: Very wrong move. The only success Pmb has from this move is that he has Suceeded in instigating, fighting and hurting the Nigerian people and stripping himself naked and displaying his tyranny character on a worldwide scale. This is democracy. There is no moral or legal justification to do this. Buhari is a tyrant but on this move, I support him 1000%. What Twitter did should be condemned by every right thinking Nigerian. |

CatANDratTHEORY: The political elites and the Fulanis. Everyone one of us. Igbos are benefiting from the expanded markets. The average Fulani whose main occupation is cattle rearing gas a larger consumer market for his cattles. The Yorubas are blessed with access to the Sea so are benefiting from the commerce. Lazy Niger Delta youths are benefiting from the monthly money sharing they get from the government. |

booscy: Why not start an online campaign for Twitter to ban him by reporting and pointing out his tweets that are in violation of the Twitter code of conduct or rules if engagement.
Someone started that which led to Buhari's suspension So we need to start an online campaign before Twitter enforces their 'rules' ? What a lousy company. |

kponkedenge: The OP is an idiot and wrote this for attention... You don't even know that what your government is doing is gagging free speech.... But you're complaining about a private company enforcing its policy on their own site.
If you don't like twitter then deactivate your account and leave.... Not blocking all Nigerians from using it.
You're just regurgitating rubbish from far right sites about how they are gagging conservative voices and leaving liberals.... You are a sheep and not so bright at all... I suggest you wake up. Idiot Twitter is not the only public opinion platform. Banning Twitter doesn't equal banning free speech. Go and open account on the other platforms. Twitter is a private site, Nigeria is a sovereign entity. Our both rules must be respected. |

Ban or not, were still using Twitter. You can go an kill yourself now NCC just issuers the directive to Telcos. Wait fess till the ban is fully implemented. How many people do you think can use VPN? Twitter deplatformed trump this year because they don't like him or his opinions. Twitter has deplatformed many conservative voices. This actually goes beyond your local Nigerian politics. I'm surprised Christians are up in arms supporting Twitter. |

I fully support the actions of the Nigerian government to ban Twitter.
This is by no means a ban on free speech. Infact in recent times, Twitter has been the platform against free speech. Twitter remove opinions they don't like. Their judgement is heavily biased. Conservative ideas are suppressed and liberalism and anarchy is supported in all forms. Twitter gives voice to terrorists and suppress governments against these terrorists.
If Twitter has the right to boot anybody out of their platform for breaking their 'rules' , countries too have the same right to boot Twitter out.
There are many platforms you can use for your free speech. Twitter is not the only public opinion platform on the web. Try Gab. Big tech has become so dangerous and opinionated that they need to be put in check...and fast. |

PeaceforNigeria: Twitter has billions of followers around the world , Nigeria is irrelevant. You think? Nigeria is easily Twitter most engaging country. Nigeria is never irrelevant in the sphere of social media. Big tech know this. Watch Twitter stocks go bearish. When India fully implements their own ban, it would finally dawn on jack foolish what a retarrd he is. Good riddance. |

Daveambition: Keyboard warrior Jack Dorsey doesn't give a jack You are actually not smart. Twitter is what it is today because of public interactions and opinions. If these move away from Twitter, Dorsey would be nothing but a rich nobody. He played himself when Twitter started becoming opinionated. Other governments would join Nigeria. States in the USA are already crafting rules against big media. Twitter is toast. Dorsey is basically an arsehole who thinks he's untouchable. |

It's not really about what is said but who is saying it for Twitter. Nnamdi kanu has tweeted worse. He got banned and deleted by Facebook but allowed on Twitter to the extent he's using a catfish account on Facebook.
