The leaders and people of Okerenkoko, Gbaramatu Kingdom, in Warri South-West Local Government Area, Delta State, have given their total support to the Economic and Finance Crimes Commission, EFCC, in its probe of Chief Government Ekpemupolo, alias Tompolo, over the alleged N13 billion paid by Federal Government for the acquisition of the Maritime University land in the community.


The leaders, who spoke through Chief Micheal Johnny, yesterday in Warri, said now that Tompolo had admitted that the alleged N13 billion was approved by the Federal Executive Council, FEC and Bureau of Public Procurement, BPP, Federal Ministry of Lands and Survey, Federal Ministry of Transport, NIMASA, the EFCC should ask Tompolo why Okerenkoko was paid only N360 million for the land.

They said Tompolo was not above the law and he should tell Nigerians the whereabouts of the balance of over N12billion, urging the EFCC to invite Tompolo and also the immediate former ministers of the aforementioned ministries and agency to explain their respective roles in the transaction.

The leaders insisted that EFCC should prosecute those involved in the diversion of the funds, recover same and given for the development of the community, which was razed down years.

Just this new year, I bought a bottle of sparkling wine that i intended to share with friends, in Aba. On tearing the aluminum foil, I discovered that bottle's cork had been tampered it. I opened it anyways, mehn, the cork smelled like it's been left in the gutter for ages. I poured the wine into a transparent disposable cup and discovered that it was just colored water.

The most annoying part was that the adulterators didn't even care as to wash the bottle before use. Now what if I was ignorant and went ahead to drink the 'wine'? Only God know the amount of germs and chemicals my body would have taken it.

This wine was made by my brothers, right? And if i had died from having drunk it, they would still remain my brothers right? And maybe my cousin would even come online here to defend them when the authorities raid their camps.
