You Ibo should keep your hands off Edo. You're not welcomed here, stay in your enclave and stop this your successionist expansion agenda. Ibo is Ibo, Edo is Edo.

Stay in your Biafra and don't spread your madness to Benin. Ikwerre is not Ibo, fine. But that doesn't mean you can claim our ancestral land. Enough is enough. We are not Yoruba where in few years time you will be claiming Edo is no man's land. A word is enough.

It can never work. We don't have anything to do with Igbo, Ibo, or Ikwerre. Those guys are not From Edo and we will not allow them to start land grabbing.

Few of them may have worked as laborers on our farms centuries ago, but there are no Ibo or whatever Ibo subgroup indigenous to Benin.

Politics / Re: Why Are Yorubas (okun) Not Allowed To Rule In Kogi State? by NaijirianKing: 12:22pm On Nov 15, 2023
Kogi is not SW. SW is Mainly Yoruba with Ijaw, Ijebu, and other smaller minority groups. Simple logic tells you that Kogi is not Yoruba.

SOSinNigeria:
Something funny is happening in Kogi state. This state has three major ethnic groups i.e. Ebiras, Igalas and Okuns (Yorubas). But sadly, since the creation of the state, only the Igalas and Ebiras have been ruling back to back. No Okun/Yoruba has ever ruled Kogi state since its creation.

In Delta State, there are three major ethnic groups i.e. Urhobos, Anioma/Igbos and Itshekiri. All of them have ruled accordingly. In Rivers State, both the Igboid upland areas and the Ijoid riverine areas have ruled.

So, why is Kogi state different? Even Dino Melaye, an Okun man who contested under PDP was disgraced. A major opposition party like PDP performed so woefully that ordinary SDP candidate almost won against APC.

SDP candidate was Igala.
APC candidate was Ebira.
PDP candidate was Okun/Yoruba.

Yet the contest was between SDP Igala and APC Ebira. Why are the Okuns maltreated in Kogi state?

Lagos Nigeria belongs to all Nigerians. Lagos is the home of Nigerians. SW begins with Ogun. Lagos is a collective effort, stop putting it in the SW.

The SW has had all its major cities reach the level where they can be classified as slums. It's quite sad.

MrEverest:
I have observed same and was shocked. Even Abuja doesn't appear better than Gaza. Take a look at the rusted shanties yorubas call cities in the South West and you will weep for the Blackman.

Ibadan has been plagued by bad governance. The problem is that most of the wealthy citizens flee the area and head to Lagos. Lagos benefits, and Ibadan has become what is has become unfortunately.

MrEverest:

Even with survey plan and everything yet it goes for 650k. No wonder there is so much poverty in Ibadan with decayed houses. How can they ever be able to raise money if land with survey and everything can only fetch 650k, and with abeg o grin grin grin grin

SalamRushdie:
Yoruba people should leave us alone ooo...haba abeg is Yoruba that created democracy on earth ?

I wouldn't make this tribal. This has more to do with democracy, Alhaji Bashir Tofa was widely popular across the nation and garnered many votes.

Some even say he won the election, however when the results came back, many realized that he was heavily rigged in certain places, places where he was popular. The same with MKO he also lost in places you would have expected him to win.

So IBB in his wisdom, and for national unity, simply canceled the election due to mass rigging and irregularities. That is the democratic way, the sanctity of the democratic process must be respected above all!

This is bigger than tribe vs tribe my brother.

Lazy and greedy family members, they want a Presidential entitlement for Abiola who did not take an Oath as President

Exactly, what makes things worse is that the election was heavily flawed.

IBB wouldn't have annulled a free, fair and credible election. We should respect the name of IBB as he is an elder of this nation!

The youth of today have no respect for elders. We should respect our leaders and their legacy, next they will come for Buhari or Abacha when these men did all the could so that we can be here unified.

I agreed. IBB singlehandedly truncated our most credible general elections.

Interesting perspective.

However, many still believe that Bashir Tofa actually won but was massively rigged.

It will remain a mystery till tomorrow since it was so long ago, but one thing is for certain we don't actually know who truly won that election. Some say Tofa, some say MKO, some say neither.

But we shouldn't categorically state that one beat the other, rather, we should merely say that there was an election, it was annulled due to rigging, and we don't truly know who won.

The election was poorly executed with mass irregularities, till today we don't truly know the winner.

IBB did what was best for national unity.

Nigeria's unity is paramount. We must build a united nation, not a nation divided by tribe and ethnicity. We reject that.

Politics / Re: Family Demands ‘Presidential Entitlements’ For Abiola by NaijirianKing: 10:31am On Jun 13, 2023
No. Nigerians reject it!

A president must actually win election. The election was declared inconclusive because it was terribly executed and there was no clear winner.

Only a winner can reap, one cannot reap where one did not sow.

Enough is enough.

Romance / Re: Facts About Single Mothers... by NaijirianKing: 8:55pm On Apr 27, 2022
The worst thing you can do is commit to a single mother.

They made their decision, they didn't value marriage, but valued fornication with irresponsible men, rather than competing for a man's hand in marriage.

The highest honor a woman can give a man is to share her womb and carry his genetic legacy. If she didn't value and respect herself, her womb, or the sanctity of marriage, then what makes you think she will value and respect you?

Olachase:
Any spirit that will makes me marry single mom I rejecte it,
There's this girl I was chasing then like a master degree, the lady is now a single mom at times she do call me to pls send her money that she's broke... I do send her whenever I have, she plan of coming to visit me buh I will just give her excuses that I'm not around, cus I don't know what her plans was, I later notice she doesn't want love again she just want someone to care for her and her little girl....
Romance / Re: Facts About Single Mothers... by NaijirianKing: 8:50pm On Apr 27, 2022
Agreed.

This is why women should wait until marriage before giving themselves to a man.

No marriage, no entry. Women should be smart and not deal with an irresponsible man who is not offering marriage.

Jashub:
They are usually frustrated and bitter. They also tend to be aggressive as they get older because of the damage they've suffered at the hands of their exes.

So as a young man , don't make the mistake of dating a single mother. Don't even engage them because they've already wasted their useful years dating the wrong guys who they thought were cool and interesting. Meanwhile, all the good guys were abandoned because they were boring and dull. This is a fact.

As it stands now, younger women want a taste of life before settling down with the good guys, which is why you see a lot of single mothers out there .

Labour Market has always been favourable and is still favorable to men. More men are in higher positions of power, more men are still billionaires, more men are still economically advantaged, but even more men have become totally useless as well.

They cannot even enter farm like their fathers before them and make themselves useful. They sit by and allow women to go out of the home and hustle.

You are talking of governors and I am talking about the ordinary people. People in corporate organizations are not more than 30-40% of the population. A majority of Nigerians are artisans, traders, farmers and small business owners and of that number lots are women, because a lot of men are slackers.

Atiku ran a loan company some years back and came with the report that women were more likely to pay off their loans than men. You know why? Because most women actually used the money gotten to help their business, while most of the men used it to marry new wives

These are the sort of men you think gender equality did bad? People who cannot think beyond their libido.
