An Ebute Meta Chief Magistrates’ Court in Lagos, on Friday, ordered seven men who allegedly gang-raped an 11-year-old girl, Favor Okechukwu to death, be remanded in Ikoyi Custodial Centre.

The police charged Ajom Tabi, 37; Omobolanle Olowookere, 41; Aliu Bilyamin, 24; Emmanuel Okon, 24; Bolarinwa Olamilekan, 24; Badmus Abdulateef, 20; Azeez Quadri, 22; and Sunday Odunayo, 22 with three counts of rape, murder and defilement.

Chief Magistrate O.G. Oghre did not take the plea of the suspects pending legal advice.She ordered the police to return the case file to the Lagos State Directorate of Public Prosecutions (DPP).

The magistrate however admitted Olowookere (the second suspect) to bail in the sum of N500, 000 with two sureties each in like sum after her counsel, Spurgeon Ataene, told the court of her non- involvement in the case.

The Magistrate adjourned the case until Nov. 18, pending legal advice.Recall that the suspects committed the offence on Sept. 30 at No. 4, Olanrewaju St., Ejigbo and fled but where caught due to investigation conducted by the police.

Gay man gives testimony after testing HIV positive when 3 men gang-raped him at 19 for being gay

A gay Nigerian man named Ayo took to Instagram to give a testimony after he tested positive for HIV after he was gang-raped.

Ayo said three men raped him exactly 5 years ago, when he was 19, because he's gay. He added that he "lost" his "virginity" from the rape and later tested HIV positive.

He said he also lost his home and became an orphan.

However, he explained that his HIV diagnosis made him start living a healthy life. He stayed away from smoking and drinking, started eating healthy and taking his medications. He also started thinking less.

As a result, he says he's now healthier and his viral load is "undetectable" while his CD4 is high.

For those living with HIV, having a high CD4 count and a low or undetectable viral load are desirable.

The Central Police Station In Abakaliki, Ebonyi State was on Monday, October 26th,2020, attacked by irate youth.

It was gathered that the police station located along the Abakaliki-Enugu highway, was set ablaze, properties were vandalized within the vicinity of the station.

Multiple sources say the attack was in retaliation for the killing of some of their members by the police during last week’s disturbances.According to them, their members were allegedly killed in front of the station last week.
