ARREST OF TEN (10) SUSPECTS FOR VARIOUS OFFENCES, RECOVERY OF ARMS AND 3.2M NAIRA

ARREST OF FOUR (4) SUSPECTS FOR CONSPIRACY AND KIDNAPPING: On 24/12/2020 at about 1800hrs, Police Operatives attached to Anti-kidnapping unit of the Command while on patrol along Gwada/Shiroro road arrested the following suspects:
(1) Abdulkareem Moh’d age 25yrs ‘m’ of Kauru, Kaduna State
(2) Nura Ibrahim age 30yrs ‘m’ of Shengu fulani, Munya LGA
(3) Jamilu Moh’d age 30yrs ‘m’ of Gwada and
(4) Hauwa Mohammed age 30yrs ‘f’ Shengu fulani camp, Munya LGA.

The said Abdulkareem and Nura were arrested with a sum of one million, five hundred thousand naira in their possession. During interrogation, the suspects confessed to be member of armed bandits terrorizing Kussasu/Galadima kogo area of Shiroro LGA and that the money is a proceeds from kidnapping ransom and sale of rustled cattle which they were sent to transfer the money to one Ishaku and Adamu both ‘m’ of Kagarko, Kaduna. Nura Ibrahim and Jamilu Mohammed are motorcyclists who specialises in transporting the hoodlums from one point to another, while Hauwa Mohammed linked the motorcyclists with the hoodlums for transportation purpose. Case under investigation.

ARREST OF THREE (3) SUSPECTS FOR CONSPIRACY AND KIDNAPPING: On 31/12/2020 at about 2200hrs, Police Operatives attached to Ibbi Division while on patrol along Ibbi/New-Bussa road, arrested three suspects;
(1) Usman Shehu ‘m’ of Rafin-Kwakwa Kebbi State
(2) Bello Mahammed ’m’ of Kanya Riba village Kebbi State and
(3) Ibrahim Shuaibu ‘m’ of Danko Wasagu, Kebbi State.
The suspects were searched and about one million, seven hundred thousand naira were found in their possession. During interrogation, the suspects confessed that the money is the proceeds shared from kidnapping ransom of about three victims kidnapped from Nasko and Mashegu. Case under investigation.

DEATH OF A SUSPECTED ARMED BANDIT/RECOVERY OF ARMS: On 13/01/2021 at about 1700hrs, a team of Police operatives/vigilante attached to Bangi division while on routine patrol along Bangi/Wamba road arrested two suspects; one Haruna SNU ‘m’ and Maryam Sani age 16yrs ‘f’ both of Magami village via Gussau Zamfara State with one unregistered Bajaj m/cycle, and two locally fabricated revolver rifles. During interrogation, the said Haruna attempted to escape and took to his heels; as a result, he was gunned down by the Police. The corpse was later deposited at general hospital Bangi, Mariga LGA.

ARREST OF TWO (2) SUSPECTS FOR CONSPIRACY AND BEING IN POSSESSION OF INDIAN HEMP/INTOXICANT: On 12/01/2021 at about 0430hrs, Police Operatives attached to Sarkin-Pawa Division arrested one Jamilu Suleiman age 24yrs and Micheal Dauda age 23yrs both ‘m’ of Kaffin-Koro along Sarkin-Pawa/Minna road with an unregistered Bajaj motorcycle. During search, the following items were recovered from them.
One bag of dried leaves suspected to be Indian hemp, 16 sachets of Dizapam drugs, 2 hypnox drugs, 3 wraps of AXL drugs, 1 Tecno phone and a sum of ten thousand naira. During interrogation, the suspects confessed to have bought the bag and the drugs at the rate of fifty thousand naira from one Isah at Tudun Natsira uphill, Maitunbi to sell at Kaffin-Koro. Effort to arrest the said Isah is ongoing. Case under investigation.
