Pls do nt mind my ignorance... Wot do u mean by return ticket reservation? I'd like u to make me understand...

Not a problem my friend. It means reserving your intended travel plan but it wont be paid for. You can schedule the ticket, put in your information but at the point where they ask for payments, choose hold reservation but most times the airlines only hold for 24-48 hours but some airlines hold for 1 week for a small fee of 7$.

Return ticket means to and fro ticket
one way ticket means only to or only fro
I hope i made it clear enough.

Thanks

1.yes, entry visa

2. supporting documents including letter of admission, proof of hotel book in India(not really important, you can just add it), bank statement of account- if you have a substantial amount you can use it. else, use a sponsor(family or guardian).
caveat: please avoid money lodgement, especially if you intend using your account!

if you are using a sponsor, you will need to get a letter of sponsorship which will be signed by your sponsor cum an affidavit to this effect. also, the statement of account must carry the address of the sponsor.

avail any document that will convince the consular/interviewer......................

if you are going for a bachelor degree...research well and inquire at the India High Commission if you will need to authenticate your WAEC/NECO/SSCE document. if yes, you can only do this in Abuja at Ministry of Education and Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Hope this piece is helpful.

auf wiedersehen!

Thank you great one! Appreciate
Is the applicant required to provide return ticket reservations for his trip to India?

Quick question for a student going for undergraduate.

For Indian visa, which visa category needs to be applied for, entry visa?
And what are the requirements apart from
1. Original passport valid for a minimum of 6 months (or for the validity requested, if greater)
2. A photocopy of the data page of the passport
3. Two photographs of the size of 50mm X 50mm i.e. 2 inch x 2 inch with light background
Photos should be glued on your forms in the box provided on pages 1 and 2 of the online form.
4. Visa application form duly filled in online _
Your form should be signed in the box under the photograph on page 1 and at the end of page-2. Your signatures should match with the signature printed on your passport.

For Estonian Embassy in India, when getting appointment, which of the required services needs to be selected...Application for visa or Other proceedings - Application for Resident permit (mind you, this is not temporary resident permit)

Thank you.

apart from csfrost and Uzi who again have received acceptance latter?, lets discuss important issues about the travel and living in Estonia,

How do you receive acceptance letter? By email or by post.
Travel / Re: Lets Talk About Estonia by nairaspace: 8:52pm On Apr 17, 2015
I am glad we are progressing. Like i said before, 2 of my cousins applied to TUT and they both applied for the BA in International business Administration.

Submitted the documents as requested, paid the application fee but did not submit TOEFL.
Both applications had TOEFL/IELTS waived.

1 of them just got an email today letting him know he has been conditionally accepted until he pays the tuition fee of 3300Euros with a deadline of May 9th.
( without interview or test ). He will be sending his payment next week. He was also told to accept or decline the admission. He accepted ofcourse.LOL

Just want to share the news and still waiting for some good news from my other cousin.

TIMELINE:
Started the application Mar 17.
Got accepted conditionally April 17.

Thanks for all your contributions. More news to come.

Congratulations
There are three possible way to come to Estonia from Nigeria as regards to studies

THROUGH BELGIUM EMBASSY NIGERIA
you submit application through belgium embassy. there is option for students who can come to Estonia through belgium embassy Nigeria. For this to actually work out for you, that means you school should be aware of this process. Infact your school must contact the Estonia Police and Boarder Guard. And the police and boarder guard will contact the belgium embassy. This process takes time and its quite complicated but the cheapest means. Infact i only know one person from Nigeria that came to Estonia through this process

THROUGH EGYPT
When u get to Egypt, its possible to apply for Temporal Residence Permit from Estonian Consulate in Cairo. This takes more than a Month from the time u get to cairo. And if you are coming for bachelors program, then the visa and trp application is quite more compelx

THROUGH INDIA
when u get to Delhi, the process is straight forward and simple. You will be issued Schengen Visa 3 to 6 months.

Per your message, i guess India is the best route. Thank you for that information. Whoever goes through the Indian route should please share experience. Beginning from applying for the Indian visa till you get the Estionian visa.

Thank you

Guess i'll be missing this admission round.

Cases/school policy might be different. Here in the US, as long as you applied before the deadline, even if you lack a requirement(e.g TOEFL) and you stated on the application that you intend writing the exam, your application will be reviewed when they get the result.
I am saying this because i had the same issue(deadline for admission: Mar 1st - wrote GRE March 9th) still my application went through normal processing.

What i am saying in essence is - go ahead and apply to the school, also register for the next TOEFL or any other exam, worse case scenario - you tried...
My cousins are still in the initial process so you are not close to being late!

I have called all those countries except tunisia, but they all said no. And to get it in southafrica, u must hv their rp . Thats why we are left with only Egypt nd India, especially 4degree seeking candidates.

What were the documents requested from you sir. Is there anyway you could drop the list here? this will help other applicants know what is needed and get them ready.

Just wondering. Is it a must to apply for Estonian visa at Egypt? The reason i asked is because:
this page: http://www.studyinestonia.ee/visa-and-residence-permit said Students who are third country nationals (not EU citizens) have to apply for a temporary residence permit for study at the nearest Estonian Embassy or Consul in their home country or country of residence.
And looking at this page: http://www.embassypages.com/estonia it lists other countries in Africa with Estonia Consulate (morocco, Angola, Kenya, South africa, Ghana and Tunisia and Kenya uses visa on arrival while ghana is visa free.
The only African country listed to have Estonian Embassy is Egypt.

I stand to be corrected though....

Just want to know if this process can be simplified. I will be making a couple of calls in the next few days and will share what i find. I reside in US so time differences will affect making the calls, if any1 finds any more info, please share.

I am making this inquiries for my cousins.

Thank you!.

Travel / Re: United Airlines Flight Diverted After Man Rushes Toward Cockpit by nairaspace: 8:44pm On Mar 17, 2015
boujaye:
(Reuters) - A United Airlines flight en route to Denver had to return to a Washington D.C. airport when a passenger rushed toward the cockpit before being grabbed by other passengers on Monday, ABC News and the company said.

The flight, carrying 33 passengers and six crew members, had to return to Washington Dulles International Airport after takeoff on Monday evening when the passenger "failed to comply with crew instructions," United Airlines spokesman Luke Punzenberger said in a statement.

Punzenberger declined to provide further details on the disruption, but ABC News reported that the person had to be held by other passengers after rushing the cockpit, citing LiveATC.net, which provides air traffic control communications online.

"He ran forward towards the cockpit and he is being restrained by passengers," said one of the pilots during the flight, according to ABC News. "Cockpit is secure and we would like to return to the airport and have the authorities meet him."

Local authorities detained the passenger at the gate, Punzenberger said. ABC News said the person was then taken to a local hospital for checks.

"One held his feet and the other one kind of laid on top of him and then the flight attendants went and got some plastic restraints for his arms," Donna Tellam, who ABC said was aboard the flight, said.

Everyone has to be his brother's keeper. Every suspicious movement must be stopped. Thanks to the gallant men, who knows what could have become of that journey. Nigerians must also be alert, especially at this period of security challenges; in our airports, road transports, sea travels, offices, parks, environs etc. You don't know the intention of the next man by you, may God help us.

I could have given the man a Tyson knockout blow to drop him down. NLer what would you have done in that circumstance?

I will make sure his nose bleed saying "Na me you wan kill??...Your father!!" grin grin

Bro, the only school I know in Portugal with lenient admission procedure for undergraduate studies from Nigerians is utad.pt and ipb.
On the course you are panning..UTAD is the only option for you...but you go through preparatory course.

Hello bro,
I checked utad and the link said...

Go to application

Available from:

1st phase: 16/06 to 14/07

2nd phase: 01/08 to 31/08

I clicked on the Go to application but it came up with "you are not authorised to access this page"

What exactly are they saying?

................................................................................................

For IPB, what do we do about the following sections... since the person is going for Bsc. Shouldnt it just be WAEC?

• Authenticated certificate confirming the approval in a secondary education course or in a legally equivalent course; (*)
• Authenticated certificate of all the course units and grades obtained in the secondary, and, if applicable, certificate of approval in the final exams and grades obtained; (*)

I will greatly appreciate a clarification.

Thank you once again.

Lagos embassy do not exist....just go for yout verification and authentication at portugal embassy...after they are done with that, you can ask embassy to stamp your document for 15 euro and you collect it and send copy to natalia. After u can apply for visa and no need doing another verification...
I don't think master student pay any fee for verification because it will be done by NUC and not lawyer.

Moneybag... I also asked a couple of questions! guess mine didn't catch your eye.

Dang!!... I have never been so confused with an application process. For more information, i decided to visit the sites of the school but instead of being cleared, my confusions increased.

Just so i don't go insane, can someone with a generous heart give me some insight.
I need a very good and cheap school that will accept a very good WAEC for Bsc in Information technology or any IT related program.
I also need to know how the Application deadlines work, those phases and all. I also want to know the best time to apply for August entry (how long the decision process takes), online application or paper application and the best time to apply for the visa before August entry so as to give enough space for visa processing.

Course: Computer Science, Computer Information Systems or Information Technology. Budget is about $1000 - $2500!

Please and please... and thank you in advance.
