(1) concerning the wait six month/one yr,

i dont support that, i had my interview twice in the same month and was given the second time, my younger bro had his 3 times in 3 diff months, june 13, july 18, august 15, and got it august 15, so bros its just God,

Me , i believe persistence with reasons is important as long as u know why u were refused.

(2) concerning ur guides and questions,

im quite surprised you pasted them here, i remember sometime ago when i asked you for idea and questions, you bluntly refused saying " when you are ready and have gotten ur admission, come back " Thank God for this thread, i read ahead and waas prepared, not waiting for ur questions at dine minutes,

Thanks anyway,

thanks and happy new yr!!

@kinkyfrag,

I will advise you to just forget this pre-medicine stuff, it's taking you no where. You read Microbio for 4 years, you served for 1 year and you still want to go back for a pre - UG course just because of one medicine. This is just like saying you like to leave university to go back to primary 6. You still think age is on your side? huh! See those good chances that pre-medicine caused you to lose which you would have used to applied as a MS applicant even at that your tender age. Mehn, come to think of it, anything pre- is just like an associate degree in that course and for 2 + 4 year in medical school. You need a good advisor.

@others,

Post your situation before you go again and let people tell you what you don't see when there is still time rather than you concluding that student visa for 2011 is officially closed.
Mr imperiouxx!!!

Can u for once face you own issues and get your visa, instead of advising someone against their dreams. who the hell are you? angry angry angry . You just talk anyhow all in the name of commenting. As soon as you get your visa, let me know!

Thanks. I have sent them an email. Also I have another issue I think cld be a red flag or not. I did my GRE earlier this year and scored 960 which was below the "1000" requirement for the school. I applied to. I later applied to a school that didn't need GRE or toefl cos I had avove the GPA requirement needed. My dilemma now is should I tell them at the embassy I didn't do Toefl or it wasn't required by my school? I don't want to give any chance for a denial as I have no time on my hand. Pls help.!!!! Thanjs
what i feel is that, they really dont care abt the score, all they want to see is that u wrote the exams.

you shouldnt bother yourself tracking on the western union website,  what you should do is to wait till tuesday, then go to www.fmjfee.com, clik check status, then enter your name and sevis details on the next page that opens,  that way, you will know if the payment has been accepted,  the mtcn they gave you will not track on the westy site
ofcourse u can track but its better to wait till u track on sevis website

but if u want to go ahead checking on d western union webpage

put your first and middle name on the first name space

and your surname on the last name space

and your 10 digit mtcn.

it should track!!

Its been ages since I logged on nairaland, but I can't resist answering Ignorant nairaspace. Pls listen or better still google it. ORACLE is not a course u study in the University at any level. You take courses like database management the school can decide to use any of the numerous softwares available, (In whicle oracle is just an example though its popular). There are training centres that teach Oracle but hope you know u won't be awarded BSc Computer Science, the best you get is Orace certification.

Have u ever heard of a course called Microsoft Word (except u are doing diploma in computer science) being taught in a university? ORACLE is not a course taught in the University.
i like when people argue blindly!
u dont seem to understand my point! AROY1 understood and gave up!!! wink wink wink even if he didnt!!!

you're confused. Oracle is one example under database management. You dont go to school to study microsoft word as a major do you? But you will come across it as a software package under certain courses.

Languages can be studied as stand-alone courses/majors dude. Have you seen anyone going for Oracle as a 4-year major?
excuse me!   am i dat dumb?   i never mentioned anything such as oracle as a major!!! please read my posts well before u say things.

where oracle came into air was when a question like " what courses would you take relating to completing your major as a computer science student depending on your area of specialization.

I NEVER MENTIONED ORACLE AS A MAJOR!!! shocked shocked shocked shocked

see me see wahala ooo,

was only giving examples when it comes to languages,  damn!! are u reading from under to top?

Chi-Dalu:
@Nairaspace, classes starts on the 21st of September

Pls a quick quest., I'm trying to fill a new DS 190 form, do i fill a completely new application, or can i retrieve my old application?
if u heading to abj this time, you could finds dates between 2-18th Sept popping up!!!

this means u have to pay close attention.

Like I always say, little knowledge is dangerous. Know and be sure of what you are talking about. That is the only way you can succeed as a student.
Now:

1) You only study courses on database at Universities/Colleges. Individual institutions can elect to use a database software (of which Oracle is one) to exemplify the core concepts of what database is all about. There are many database software that an institution can use in the learning process, for example, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Microsoft Access, SQL Server, Sybas.

2) No, database is the foundation. You must study database before you can grasp Oracle. You putting it the other shows that you have no clue, knowledge, understanding of what you are talking about. You are arguing blindly. Saying that Oracle must be studied before database is exactly equal to you saying a toddler must be able to run before they can stand.

3) Oracle is just a popular tool (among many equally effective tools) to get a job done, database management. That does not mean it is the only tool. For this reason, Database Management is the course.

Wikipedia & educational institutions support my above argument, if you care to research. If you can not provide a link that support yours, admit that you are just arguing blindly and that you do not know what you are talking about.
why are you confusing yourself.

Now, i want to get ideas about database management,  and i have heard about ORACLE, would you not tell me what oracle is all about and what it can be used for?

we are talking abt ORACLE being something u need to know before you use it on what it is used for, instead you claimed that oracle is not to be learnt.

are you saying you will just meet oracle and start using oracle, without knowing how to use it.

For example, I cant use my teeth to unscrew a laptop, in other words, i would need a set of screw driver and look for the one to use among them!!!

@davidylan;

are you saying u will just use a software without having any knowledge about it?

Go to websites of Universities offering Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science, and look for courses in their curriculums. If you see "Oracle" as a main course, provide the link, and I would agree that I am wrong. If you do not, then you should apologize to me and admit to this forum that you said nonsense when you said I was totally wrong.
You have 72hours.

By the way, I agree with your posts, davidylan.
@aroy1: i think i should use elemetary terms; oracle is just like integrated science, home econs, social studies. these are subjects leant as foundations. thats what oracle is, being a foundation into studying database whatever!!! so u must learn how to use it first!!!!

there is no other explanation about what u said on "ORACLE not being a course"
