Oracle is a tool, though a complex one, that you use to manage database. Roughly speaking, it is analogous to Microsoft Word, which is a tool that you use for word processing. Just like there are many software that you can use in place of Microsoft Word, the same is true for Oracle.

Now, does this make sense?

How did u learn how to manage database?

My experience,
I got there around 8 30. They asked for sevis, appoinemtn gtb reciept etc. I got in at 11 did biometric etc. Ther guy before me was denied. And d babe in cubicle one denied almost all d people dat went b4 her except some old women goin for medicals. I was now prayin dey should not call me to counter 1 coz that was her counter. B4 I knew it, dey jumped d number b4 mine and asked me to go to counter 1. She asked me what I wanted to study,- I told her, what I do, I told her, d modules ill be taking, I told her. She looked at my bank statement. And she said, ill isue u a visa, pick it up at billingsway, gave me a green small card that they wrote visa pick up on. I asked for my i20 she said it will be inside mypassport wen I pick it up. Yes. Ayanfe got her visa before me. Many students were denied in Lagos oh. But me and like 4 other people were granted that I know of. The info on dis thread helped. But trust me, it is your utternace dat will give u visa. Dat bank statement done mean anything. You have to be polite, confident and well grounded in education. Travel history also helps but like 3 fresh passports got their F11. You guys, thank God for me. I am now looking for flight. No more sevis, i20, fedes, statement, etc. I thank God.

I am sorry to tell you that you denied yourself the visa based on your your replies. You did not show that you are a real prospective computing professional.

1) Specialising in Informational technology is meaningless. Computer Science (and synonymously referred to atimes as[b] Information Technology[/b]) is broad and some of its specialised areas are: Artificial Intelligence, Theory of Computations, Database Management, Networking & Information Theory, Software Engineering (which embeds Programming), and a host of many subfields.

2) Fortran, are you kidding me? That language is gradually being fazed out in modern computing. It's like being asked that which languages do you think will be advantageous  to know in today's human world, and you say: Yoruba. What happens to English, Spanish, French, Chinese, Portuguese, etc. Talking in Computing Jargons, Java, C++, HTML & PHP, and many other relevant in today's world would have been better.

3) By the way, FORTRAN stands for Formula Translation and is a language used in Specialised Scientific Researches.

Finally getting a visa with a course of study in Computer Science, or any of its fields, should be easy provided you are brilliant and know what you are talking about. I did by presenting a virgin passport and making a mistake of telling the VO that I might not be coming back.

you already answered your questions, tell them what you just told us that you were doing, simple and short abi u no get your jab slips or admission offfer letter from unilag?, if u wanna make other stories up, back it up with something


2ndly, your neco,    carry a printout aas we suggested, and staply a scratch card to it,  simple and short!

@Adolite @ HOUSE: Honestly, there are some views we hold about this visa thing that are not really accurate. For instance, I was counselled by a friend to get a 7 am appointment. That by afternoon, the V.O.s will be tired and frustrated. My experience ( I arrived exactly 10 am and got the visa by 2.15 pm) is that the V.O.s were all sweet and focused, whether afternoon or no afternoon. Infact, I was among the last ten people to arrive, we went in last. And God was still merciful. Please, if you can't get 7 am, try and relax. God's time is the best. Cheers!

From memory, you were unsuccessful to get your visa at the 1st attempt because of lies! That's innate in you and you just never can change. That is why you see everybody else as you, which is really pathetic and unfortunate. Anyway, you were fortunate to meet some honest people here, Superbrain et al., who taught you not to lie at your 2nd interview. You were wise to follow their advice and we all know the rest.

Who say them nor dey ask for Scratch card? And who says the interview is 3 mins? Every case differs. The fact say you spend 3 mins nor mean say na 3 mins them go spend on next applicant. They may choose to spend 1 or even 10 mins. Every body case different.

After following their instruction i found myself logging on to the (force.com) page that already had my previously scheduled appointment before writing to them.

My question is do i cancel my previous appointment and reschedule if a date would be available that way. i would be glad if you could help asap with info.

I thought u just had 10m in ur account just like that, bro, u will definitely need some proof to show you receive payments, and also your Dad can write letter or affidavit stating there that you are in-charge of the funds that comes out of that estate.

You can also carry the property document, cos this consulars, dem be werey ooo, they might ask, so anything you know you want to say, have a document to back it up incase you are being asked.

Also let them know that your Dad is aware of your intentions and will also support you ; this is where your dads docs can enter.

Guys, my international advisor don kill her self oooo at 11th hour   After long waiting for the I-20 so that I ask for expedited date, it finally come with mistakes.
She put first name as last name vice versa and wrong sponsor. I guess she did that because she once told me last 2 week that my application got through to them from WES extremely late.

And I have asked the other school that gave me admission to defer their own till spring in preference to this one that gave me admission with graduate assistantship. [b]I don vex wrote her 5 long paragraph dissatisfaction mail in return sa ooooo. F. U. C. K her![/b] She will soon wake up to get that. She is the first international advisor I will see that is not ready return to mails, else, I would have detected this long had it being she did like the other school that mailed me the scanned copy when I requested.

Now, should I ask her to defer their own till spring too because international students are expected to be on campus for orientation not later than August 10 or still risk the much rush now? Spring! Isn't it too far?

It can be corrected in a day if u call, and also u can prepay a pickup via DHL or FEDEX, and they will pick it up for u and u will get it in 5-7days,

And if ur mind goes with Spring, No problem, thats fine with you,

Endurance is what matters on this issue (bolded part) not nice at all!

Sir, Transfer or no Transfer, You will still do the whole required courses.


Just apply as freshman and when embassy ask what you havee been doing, show them prove from your present uni in naija, online print out of results can surface here.
Embassy to have problems at all, its the way you defend yourself is what matters.
