This is a welcome development. However, I agree that Julius Berger is the right contractor to do the job. Government should ensure that the Ministry concerned supervise the work. But why patch the road? This will only offer temporary solution. Any way we thank God for this. We pray for better things in future.

The children in both pictures are definitly having fun. The hand supporting them must be that of their mum. The kids are innocent at that age. However parents should not encourage children to kiss as they grow older, because kissing may lead to some other immoral behaviour. Dont forget that these children watch movies, & parents have to go to work, etc. & so are unable to monitor their children as they should. House helps are not helping matters because, they do not painstakingly care for these children. Some even invite their lovers over when their madam is at work, & they are not discret in their love play. A well-deserved judgment. Herself & her husband looted Delta State Treasury. It was more of a one-man show; only me go chop. He took over all Government insurances. He probably was awarding all contracts to himself & family. He brought in his man Oduaghan to continue the looting from where he left off. The other time Ibori was arrested here in Nigeria, I here he bought a whole cow for prison inmates. He was not at all remorseful, rather he was enjoying himself & squandering his ill-gotten wealth. Now where is he? The long-arm of the law finally caught up with him. He will spend some reasonable time in prison. When he eventually comes out of prison & sees Government money, he will flee from it, as if the devil is after him. You see, the inhabitants of Sodom & Gomorrah did not commit nearly the attrocities presently being committed. Even parents may not have control over that, because the children can not be confined to their rooms or homes. They go to school, etc. Therefore we must educate them on sex, its implication, wearing of condum to avoid pregnancy, the implication of raping a lady, etc. I disagree with you JOKYTECH that children should be allowed to mature before they are educated on sex. Very nice thread. I am in favour of training girls & boys same way. They should all be able to cook, & do all the other chores in the house. Share the work for them all & ensure they do their duties. When they eventually get married, they will never experience any problem. They should also go to school up to university level, where possible. Where no funds to send them to university, encourage them to go into a good trade in order to raise money for their education. That way they may be able to go to school, even if it is part-time training. This is important. Education is what we parents can bequeath to our children. Give them every assistance they need to be self-sufficient in life & you would have played your role.

I have heard stories about women beating up their men. There is a story of a woman who used to actually thrash her man, & at the same time screaming for help. When people start moving towards them to rescue her, she quickly ducks under her man, giving the impression that it was the man doing the beating. However there are very few cases of women, especially those of heavy build, who beat their men. Women are the weaker sex so their men should protect them, not engage them in combat. Your cordial disposition towards your woman can earn you her love & respect. Avoid combats in the home. Couples can settle their differences without resorting to combat.
