Pastor Tunde Bakare is a man of God & not a politician. Should Buhari/Bakare win, as VP Bakare will only be a figurehead. I sincerely hope Buhari will not mess him up & create problems for his ministry.

I guess habbi has said it all. We still have arranged marriages, especially in the villages. As a result of civilization, we have few cases of arranged marriages now. I for one am not, & have never been in support of arranged marriages, especially when young girls are given away in marriage to people, that can best be regarded as their grandfathers, throwing the lives of those innocent girls away. Thank God for civilization, that has more or less brought that era to an end.

Its a wicked world. This should not deter our resolve to help those in need. God will always protect us as long as we have done nothing wrong. The young lady's plan, to have her own blood brother training & caring for her, abducted by kidnappers did not see the light of day because, her brother took care of her. So how can her evil plan succeed? Right now as we speak she & all the perpetrators of that evil are in police custody. They will be tried & must go to prison. She has thrown her life away because of greed. The evil doer can never go unpunished. This is what all should know.

Well they should look for him to clear himself of fresh charges against him. I bet there are many more. See how fat & shapeless he has become; a man less than 50 years old. A big NO. Why should a married woman accept a gift from her ex boyfriend? To do so would mean an open invitation to her ex that she is available to continue from where they left off, even in her matrimonial home. I dont even agree with the fact that a wedding gift should be accepted. To me it is a very subtle invitation by the ex to the married woman. He probably later discovered he made a mistake by not marrying her & wants to try & win her back. So whose fault is that? Please let us all learn from the mistakes of others. It will save us a lot of agony in the end. There is no need rushing into marriage. Afterall it is till death do you part.

The man should verify if the first child is actually his. Go for Hiv test. If the child is his, fine, keep the child. If the child is not his, send mother & child to her lover. How can he still feel love for such a woman? The lady would have paid with her life if she were from my place. It is a taboo for a married woman to have affair with another man. If she is not bearing your name at all, then you should have reported this to your inlaws from the onset of the marriage. Why agree to marry you at all if she loathes your name so much? The problem should have been adressed & corrected long before now. Now, 7 years after your marriage, you are protesting the issue. You need to revert back to your inlaws & your own family to settle the problem. There is no other way since your wife has refused to cooperate with you. But first discuss it with her again before going out. It is wrong to allow the situation to remain as it is. Good luck.

Taking money from your husband without asking is wrong. Its either you ask for it, or you take it & tell him when he returns. I see your plight. It is not easy for your husband since he is bearing the responsibility of caring for the family alone. Its not easy to get employment. You can still try though. But talk to your husband nicely to help you by financing a small business for you, where possible. If it can be done, you can make some money & assist your husband. Contributing towards the family's upkeep will earn you some respect from your husband & even his people. A situation where the woman is a full-time housewife, and the man is not too financially buoyant spells doom for that marriage. Please do something to correct the situation, & save your marriage.

Sarah Jubril had just 1 vote. She takes GEJ to court alleging foul play at the PDP Primary Election. The fact remains that even with the re-run of the election, she can never win the Primary. She also alleged that Atiku is not Northern Concensus Candidate. Meanwhile she congratulated GEJ after the Election. Atiku who would normally have staged a protest if there was actually foul play, did not do so. Where was she when the North endorsed Atiku as Consensus Candidate? The cries of a totally confused & demoralized woman. GEJ please help her recover her money. Why for goodness sake did she get involved? Did she act under duress?

@ Jarus - fortunately, this opinion poll may not determine the winner of the Presidential Election. @ronkeenuf - GEJ has spent less than 7 months in office & you expect miracles? Those who spent 8 years in office could not solve the power problem. He needs time to look into power & he is already working on it. For your information Phcn is winding up. All is in a bid to solve the power problem. His bringing in Ibb & Atiku is a master plan. Sometimes you have to draw closer to your enemies to get results. This is politics; no permanent friends no permanent enemies; that is the way to succeed in politics. Please give the man a chance. In any case like I said before, you can make your choice; nobody is impossing GEJ on you or anyone cos its a free world. As for me I will vote for GEJ, & many others intend to do same.

GEJ will definitly sweep the votes at the Presidential Elections. He does not need to rig to win, just like what happened at the PDP Primaries. He is a P.hd holder, the most qualified of the contestants. He is already working on power & he will deliver. With the support of the US, he is working on security. With time foreigners will be interested in investing here in Nigeria. Of all our leaders, GEJ is the only one I can say is not tribalistic, & he is very accommodating. Ibb & Atiku carried out their threat to make the Country ungovernable for him. But with all that, GEJ welcomed them with open arms to join his campaign team. Mark you, GEJ is the younger of the 3, but he exhibited more wisdom & maturity. When the Northerners tried to foment trouble, after the demise of President Yar Adua, GEJ again displayed wisdom & maturity in handling the situation, thereby preventing what could well have developed into very serious crisis between the North & the rest of the Country. Everyone wanted him to be sworn in as President because they had confidence in him. GEJ no doubt made mistakes like any other human being, but he has the interest of Nigerians at heart. He is the only one who can permanently end the kidnappings. if he comes in as President. I believe this will put a permanent end to the incidents of kidnapping in the Niger Delta Region. The people of the region would accept that as good compensation for all they have suffered. So fellow Nairalanders, everyone has free will to vote for the candidate of their choice. But please when you do vote, do not vote for anyone because you see others voting for them. Vote for a candidate that can rule this Country & get it out of her present predicament. For me, my Presidential Candidate is President Goodluck Jonathan. By the grace of God, he will SWEEP THE VOTES CONVINCINLY.

All kids, male & female, are blessings from God. She is blessed with 5 male kids, yet she is lamenting because she wants a female. Most men & families prefare male kids, so why is she all worked up? She should not have any more kids because she wants a female kid. She needs perfect health to care for the 5 she has. Also when the kids are too many, it becomes difficult to care for them. Some women would give anything to be in her shoes. Guess thats life; our needs are insatiable.

One-third will go to my husband with a proviso that should he pass on it should be given to my kids. A little to my parents if they are alive, & the rest to my kids. I would want to rule out a situation where I will everything to my husband & my kids suffer, should my husband remarry. Also without the proviso, namely that the one-third to him goes to my kids at his passing, he may will it to his wife. Also extended family interference may create problems for my kids. Why should my kids suffer when I am no more. Afterall all my labour is to give them a good life.

Even here in Nigeria, some men bring their sick mothers or fathers from the village to stay with them in the Cities, either until they recover or until they pass on (i.e if no one to care for them). It may not be acceptable to most women, but the couples concerned should discuss it and come to an agreement. Some MIL's are nice although some are not. But whatever happens treat them as you would your mother. If she remains hostile to you even with all your love & care, your husband & his family will not condone that. Know that should you cooperate with your husband, it will earn you his love & respect. Also know that should the situation be the reverse, i.e. your mum or dad needing such assistance, your husband will cooperate with you as well. Sometimes these situations arise & we must cooperate for harmony sake.

You are a man & should realise that women sometimes need pampering to play along with you. It is not always you apply force. Forcibly sleeping with her will earn you no satisfaction; rather it will worsen matters. Looking outwards may break up your marriage. Dont you see that it is better to make peace with your wife?

Poster, your friend is certainly heading for trouble. Because he has misunderstanding with his wife, who has kids for him, he has to go to another woman. How well does he know this woman? What is the guarantee that she will behave better than his wife, or that she will even be able to bear him kids? The devil you know is better than the one you dont know. Poster, you have every right to be angry. However, you have to be calm to handle this matter maturedly so you dont regret your actions. Your kids need you &their mother to live a normal & happy life. Talk to your wife & iron out this problem. You can both solve this matter peacefully without a third party. Do this to save your marriage & protect your kids.

How can a house divided against itself ever stand? The Northern Youths are condemning the Northern State Governors for voting for GEJ instead of Atiku at the PDP Primaries. By their action, the Northern State Governors passed a vote of no confidence on Atiku. So why all the fuss & rioting? The North can not continue to disturb us with riots. I think its high time something is done to put a permanent end to all these unnecessary riots by the Northerners. As some posts rightly said, enough is enough of this sheepishness.
