Yes thweraja10 I have prayed for Nigeria today, & will continue until it improves. I pray for Nigeria when I wake up in the morning, & before I go to bed at night. We all are one in the sight of God. So anyone treating a fellow human being badly because that one is a house help will answer to God. We go to Church & we are told to love our neighbours as ourselves. Some couples over labour their house help while their children relax and have fun. Some of these children old enough to get married do not know how to cook, because they have been pampered. I suppose the parents of such girls will go with them & help cook for their husbands. I appeal to all to help these house helps. Where you can send them to school do so. Do all you can to make them comfortable & God will reward you. Nobody knows what the future holds. GEJ is the most qualified of the candidates for the 2011 Presidential Election. He is a Ph.d holder (the most qualified President Nigeria has produced), was a lecturer, is humble, not tribalistic, he is working on how to stabilise power supply, encouraging foreigners to invest in Nigeria, No more scarcity of petroleum products, the list is endless. Ibb, Buhari, are past leaders who have failed this Country. It is surprising that they are being encouraged to contest after their woeful failure in the past. Nigerians are wiser now & know that GEJ is the only candidate that can deliver. Vote GEJ for President.

Only one out of the items highlighted can not improve Nigeria. Eradicating extreme poverty & hunger is fundamental, for without food nobody can do any constructive thinking, let alone achieve anything. However like I said earlier on, other items like achieving, I would rephrase it as education at all levels, reducing child mortality, improving maternal health, combating diseases, ensuring environmental sustainability, developing global partnership for development, ensuring constant power supply, checkmating corruption, promoting gender equality & empowering women are all important ingredients if Nigeria must improve. The biggest problem is lack of love. If we ask God for the right partner, & we do it sincerely & persistently, we will be granted our request. If there is love, the couple will live a happy life; money or no money. The only other thing the couple need do is to be very prayerful. Remember, a family that prays together stays together. This is very welcome development. If we must shun corruption, then we must not allow those who are corrupt to contest. If they contest & win, they will only say, "dont mind those old baboons. We are here to make money." Some of them are already sharing as national cake so many millions of Naira; ill gotten wealth from our Government, to elimimate their political opponents. The grabbing of ill-gotten wealth will continue if these people said to be corrupt are allowed to come in; they will legalise corruption & it becomes the order of the day. Allowing them to contest tantamounts to putting the cart before the horse. So this is a move in the right direction. Before EFCC accuses anyone of corruption, they must have ample evidence to substantiate their allegation. Well done EFCC for a job well done.

The smartness & skillness of the Nigerian Worker can best be assessed by considering the following factors- 1. Are the workers qualified for the positions for which they are recruited? 2. How much experience do the workers have? 3. Are they being trained from-time-to time in order to give more exposure? 4. Do the workers have modern equipment to boost productivity or obsolete ones? 5. How much are they earning? 6. Is the boss or oga in charge of these workers qualified to hold such a sensitive position? The questions are endless. If the workers are qualified & responsible, hardworking persons & they are very poorly paid. How on earth can anyone expect such workers to deliver when there is no inducement. Also if the boss in charge or oga is the type that rose through the ranks, & is ill qualified, tell me how such a leader can command the respect of the workers, let alone get any work done. In any case the whole work thing has been so politicised that nobody pays attention to fielding in the right candidates any more. Also like some posts rightly said, lecturers pass their students for sex or for money. Some have fake results. All claim to be graduates. All of the above, coupled with the fact that most of our people have the attitude "it is not my fathers work o jere. I will put it on my shoulder. When it becomes too heavy, I drop it o." Others regard the work as their share of the national cake. So tell me fellow Nairalanders, where do we go from here?
