Ewunugaab: Hello house, good evening. Please I have a question, and I need help. My TB certificate would expire on the 24th of September, I applied for visa and got 8th September as my interview date.
Do I need to go for another TB test? Or what exactly is it that can be done to my case?
Thanks as I expect a solution to this. No you don’t need to a do a new one. The one you have will still be valid as at the time you submit your application online. Even if it expires before a decision is made, it won’t be a problem because concessions are being made due to the pandemic |

Gaspet: Help with this, please An option you have (which may be the only one really) is to take the certificate with you to your appointment, pay N11,700 and have the officials there upload it for you. |

mattfeuter: Yes, I understand.
The reason why I don’t think it’s necessary for it to be taken down is for others to see it and learn.
I think it’s crazy that anyone would think of spending the money in their account before getting their visa approved. You give people too much credit lol |

garuskoko: My honest opinion about removing money from account after visa submission is that it is perfectly allowed as far as it is for the purpose of school accommodation or sch fee itself.
It is even clearly stated in the UKVI guidelines that "the money must come to be held in the same manner unless money paid towards accommodation"
I mean, why would I continue to leave the my account if for I instance, Naira gains significant strength with respect to Pounds. (Say pounds to Naira suddenly becomes 420 today). I'll simply walk into the bank and pay off my tuition balance so that I can save some Naira. After all, that is what the money is meant for. There is room for some flexibility on this things. As long as you are plain, truthful and 100% genuine. Yes the scenario you’ve just painted is perfectly fine. However I’m sure you know not everyone’s definition of “spend” is the same as you’ve explained. Grey areas plenty for this matter |

Are you planning to use the money after submission? I think he was referring to the posts suggesting it’s okay to spend the money after application submission. Justwise is obligated to take down misleading posts or posts that encourage applicants to misrepresent facts |

Oh if you’re referring to the test conducted by the government, yes that’s “free”. However the test result needs to be recent (within the last 3 days) and it may not be easy to estimate how long the government-conducted test will take. So most people I reckon would rather go to one of the licensed private labs for quicker and less stressful testing SAMDEEA123: Shebi Lagos say their own na free? |

Either option is fine. You can all apply now and travel together. You can also choose to apply first and when you’re settled in ,your dependents can submit their applications to join you Adurami040517: Good afternoon @mimilyrics and other gurus in the house, i am new here and I have read from the beginning of the thread so I know most of the things required of me for tier 4 visa but am not clear on the following and I will appreciate if you can enlighten me 1) as a student who is self sponsor, can I first apply for my tier 4 visa and when am granted , my dependants (husband and 2 children) after 3 months can put in their application to join me or 2) we all have to apply at the same time
Thank you all in anticipation of your reply |

You can take the risk. People have had issues with their tuberculosis screening and didn’t have the certificate issued to them immediately. I would suggest you have every document you need before proceeding. However you can book an appointment with the hope that nothing goes wrong or delays the issuance of the TB certificate seeing as you’ll be cutting it real close Hebraeem: Please can you book a later appointment without TB certificate at hand? E.g. Booking an appointment of 19th September for TB testing of 14th September. Thanks |

Yes make a copy of the data page of your current passport. Regarding your old passport, you are free to make copies of the relevant pages you want to include with your application as evidence of immigration history. However you won’t need to submit the old passport itself. Gbeskey: 1)Please am i suppose to print passport data page even though am submitting the passport? 2)Do i have to submit my old passport with the new one including printing it? 3)What do I have to take along with me as self-service to my appointment? Thank you all in advance. |

It is Capitalbase: Please can you help to clarify me on this, 1) I printed my account statement on the 14th and it reads from 07/07/2020-13/08/2020 2) I made my final IHS payment on 16/08/2020 3) Appointment came in yesterday.
Please my agent said the account is very much ok but I just want to confirm from the house if it's ok. All the money still intact.

This is correct. The bank statement must be no more than 31 days old on the date you submit your visa application, this is the date that you pay the online visa fee. NOT the day you submit your biometrics liliberth: Biometrics or day of online payment. Please don't confuse us ooo |
Travel › Re: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 4 by naledis(f): 12:40pm On Aug 21, 2020 |
Read the last point you posted and correct yourself accordingly. Bank statements have nothing to with the day of biometric submission. If any day is taken into consideration it is the day of online submission/payment of visa fee. The 30 days validity has to do with the day of online submission/visa fee payment. It has nothing to do with day of biometric submission solarinde: Understand my points before making comments to confuse others. You have submitted an online application when you pay you fees. So date of online submission and application is same. |

This is correct. Day of biometrics is not considered when dealing with bank statements gracedforever: Day of online payment |
Travel › Re: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 4 by naledis(f): 12:31pm On Aug 21, 2020 |
Last point is completely wrong The day taken into consideration regarding bank statements is the day of online submission. Day of biometric submission is not reckoned with. solarinde: Don’t be confused. With this question you are asking another question different from what I gave answer for. Initially you were asking if you should re print because you are now doing assisted services. *The day you pay for visa fee and IHS is the day of your application. * The oanda exchange rate on the day of your application will be use for checking your maintenance fee. * The date you printed your bank statement must no be more than 30 days on the day of your biometric. If it is more than 30days, you will have to print another bank statement. Hope this helps |

Cash not allowed. Go with your card on any day and hope that you’re allowed to use the walk-in service. You can’t just walk in without an appointment date so don’t try to cancel the one you currently have. That’ll be a loss for you ajags80: Dear People,
I appreciate your contributions and help. Please I eventually got a date for September 23rd and School resumes September 21st. Can i go with cash to the TLS Office (VI) and pay for a walk in before then Say Sept 2nd? Or do i go with my card. The advise I got from someone was to forfeit the 30k paid (55pounds) for booking VI, cancel the 23rd appointment and just click on Walk in....pay afresh.
Grateful for your advice.

That’s good then! Mine expires on the 27th but I already submitted my application online and my appointment is in a few days. However for those who are not able to submit their application before their certificates expire - the safest option for them would be to retake the test. Good luck with your application. Flezi1: Thanks, on a second thought i think you have a valid point, as the statement is quite vague and controversial. Luckily for me mine expires 24th August and I would have submitted my application online before that date. |

It - being a valid certificate as stated in the email right? What then do you consider to be a valid tuberculosis certificate? I’m not trying to force you to accept my interpretation. I just need you to be entirely certain of what you choose to do so you don’t have any regrets. Don’t take any chances ✌️ Flezi1: I think you getting the interpretation missed up. It clearly states that it would accepted if it expired within the last six months. If you go by ur explanation , do you know any visa application that would 6 months for a decision to be made. Am welcome get the views of others ,mine would expire AUGUST 24 and i would be using it like that. It bears the name of same university. |

I also wrote to them and got the same reply but be careful with your interpretation. It says a VALID tuberculosis certificate and what I understand this to mean is that the certificate should be valid (tenable, not expired) at the time you make your application. The concession is that if the certificate then expires say a few days after your application has been submitted or before a decision is made, and the expiry date has not gone past 6 months, then it would be accepted. I don’t think this email expressly means you can submit an expired or invalid certificate with your applications. This is my opinion though. @justwise @mimilyrics Flezi1: Yes you can, i personally wrote to them , an i was told that all expired tb certificates within the last 6 before the application date would be accepted as a a result of the covid pandemic. Find below the response. |
