Hi. Can I send you an email please?

Yimi4real:
The error is on the application form alone right? Your letter of explanation should suffice, no need to panic. We made an error on my spouse’s application in 2017 and it was more “serious” than first letter of name as in your case but it didn’t affect anything cause we got the visa.
TravelRe: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 4 by naledis(f): 1:43pm On Aug 17, 2020
Yes you can pay by bank transfer but I would suggest printing out the payment receipt as opposed to showing them a screenshot on your phone. Have the receipt handy

brainz360:
Hello, please can I make a transfer from my Bank app for the IOM payment and show them the screenshot as payment proof? The queue here in the bank is terrible.
TravelRe: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 4 by naledis(f): 1:42pm On Aug 17, 2020
Processing takes 15 working days so it’s been 9 working days. 6 more working days to go and you can expect a decision

I wish you a successful application

Yimi4real:
It’s still at the DMC. It’s been there for 12 days now.
TravelRe: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 4 by naledis(f): 2:31pm On Aug 16, 2020
Mine is this week too. I usually park in Etiebets place (I think that’s the name of the first building on the street) for a token. There’s also another small parking lot beside the visa office building which I think is run by “touts”.

cdaniel:
My appointment is for this week. Please do you know if there is a safe car park around?.
TravelRe: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 4 by naledis(f): 7:37pm On Aug 07, 2020
This is true to some extent. I also emailed the corona immigration helpdesk telling them about my TB result expiring this August and I was told that so long as the expiry date is less than 6 months from the time a decision is made, it will be accepted.

Flezi1:
You don’t have to do a new tb test. I wrote to them abt this and I was told all documents that has expired within the last 6 months would be accepted as a result of the corona pandemic

Thank you

mimilyrics:
Your closing balance will be used; you don't need to make transactions prior to printing. Nothing wrong with printing on the date you submit; the date of application should be your 29th day in this situation.
TravelRe: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 4 by naledis(f): 5:26pm On Aug 03, 2020
If for instance I choose to submit online today, whatever bank statement I get be it online from my bank app or a printed version at a bank branch can only reflect yesterday’s transactions as the most recent. Transactions done today cannot reflect until 12 midnight. So the latest transaction date I can capture on my bank statement would be of the day before. Going by this, how can the applicant then use a statement that includes the day of submission even if they wanted to?

mimilyrics:
Yes that's my advice but if your school okays it, please go with your school.
Note that my comments are based on how this played out in some other scenarios.

Yes I am in Nigeria. I tried not only Emirates but also ajala dot ng

Dwebb55:
Are you in Nigeria? I have tried all the 3rd party agents, wakanow, travelstart travelbeta and non seem to work. Can you reconfirm if you are in Nigeria?
TravelRe: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 4 by naledis(f): 1:57pm On Aug 03, 2020
If it gets to that point and you have some tuition left to pay to the uni, you may want to consider making more payment to your uni which means the amount left to show for maintenance requirements will be a little lower

toyclicks:
Yeah Thanks.
I may have to start to worry if it approaches N530 cry
TravelRe: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 4 by naledis(f): 1:36pm On Aug 03, 2020
There you have it. Please check it that way going forward so you don’t make a mistake with the amount to have in your bank account

toyclicks:
Oh mine !!!
Just noticing what you are pointing out at the lower part @naledis
TravelRe: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 4 by naledis(f): 1:04pm On Aug 03, 2020
Yes. I checked on Saturday expecting to see it above N510 but was surprised to see that the rate dipped the tiniest bit and even throughout the weekend

solarinde:
£1 = #510.176. Use oanda. It has start to drop sha
TravelRe: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 4 by naledis(f): 1:02pm On Aug 03, 2020
You are checking the wrong way. The currency you HAVE is NAIRA while the currency you WANT is POUNDS. Check in the correct format and you’ll see that the rate as at today is N510

toyclicks:
Oanda
TravelRe: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 4 by naledis(f): 6:44pm On Aug 02, 2020
Maybe what you experienced was a temporary system failure. I just tried to book on Emirates website and I didn’t have any issues

Dwebb55:
Due to this report, it seems that all flight searches have been restricted in Nigeria. One is unable to try and book a flight even after going through several different sites!

I think you misunderstood me. My first comment was actually in support of your post where you posted the link. I was telling the other poster that he should have checked the link you posted before disagreeing with you

duchess90:
So now you understand that you needed to look at the link and confirm before jumping into conclusion..

Lesson learned..let's move on

Cheers

Some of the services have also been modified thanks to corona virus so it’s just wise to follow the link and read what each service offers now. There used to be a service that allows you walk in without an appointment at all. I doubt this service will be available during these times. Best bet is to refer to the website jejely to read current information instead of assuming things will be what they were last year

duchess90:
Funny, If you read the post it actually means the same thing i said which is same day of appointment not before..

But i guess NO' is easy to type grin
TravelRe: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 4 by naledis(f): 2:54pm On Aug 02, 2020
It’s just a more comfortable experience. After you enter the building for submission and biometrics, you are taken to a private lounge with more comfy sofas and little treats. I think it’s also faster to submit your documents/biometrics because there’s hardly anyone in the lounge when I get there. I don’t know what the wait time is for those who don’t use the premium lounge but I doubt it’s anything unbearable. I just like the extra comfort that comes with premium lounge

SAMDEEA123:
Please who can explain what premium lounge is,?

Well done for your contributions

What name is on his bank statement? Is it entirely different from the name on your birth certificate or is it just an issue with arrangement of the names? What name is on the affidavit? This will help with a tailored answer to your question.
You can use fictitious names to represent this in your response.

Before you disagree check the link she posted and read what Flexi now means in light of corona virus times

Youngee34:
No, flexi means you can come any day during the business hours for your appointment.

Irrespective of your appointment date/time.

I remember I did it last year with my uncle, I applied for visa on the same day at ikeja, paid for flexi appointment and went straight in with my uncle for my biometrics.

Why don’t you check the TLS website to check these add-on services and what they mean. This information is readily available and from what is stated on the website, Flexi appointment means you can arrive at the Visa Application Centre at any time during opening hours on the day of your appointment.

chiwelaw:
Please mimilyrics,

Does it mean even if my biometrics appointment is in September I can go any day before that day for my biometrics with my family and be attended to as long as I have paid for flexi?
Please how do I pay or at what point do I pay for the flexi? I want to be double sure of this
Thank you
TravelRe: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 4 by naledis(f): 11:24am On Aug 02, 2020
At any time on the day of your appointment. The flexi appointment as of today is not simply a walk-in service.

mimilyrics:
That's the flexi appointment which allows you to go to the VAC at any time during their opening hours.
TravelRe: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 4 by naledis(f): 2:45pm On Aug 01, 2020
Not sure why some posts are border-line painting the option of going to study this September as a suicide mission.

For someone who is not depending on the prospects of a student job to fund their maintenance, for someone who is simply going for a degree and returning to continue their life plans, for someone whose plans are time-bound, for such persons, going ahead with study plans this September is totally fine.

Not everyone is planning to stay back. Not everyone is depending on getting a part time job to survive. Not everyone has the luxury of deferring their study plans. You can share your own reservations about study plans this year based on your own circumstances. Stop making blanket statements. Stop predicting doom and gloom. Stop projecting your fears and concerns (which may be truly valid based on your own personal circumstances)

Let people make informed decisions on their own based on facts and their personal circumstances.

Period.
TravelRe: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 4 by naledis(f): 2:02pm On Jul 31, 2020
Carry on with your study plans as YOU deem fit. Everyone has their reasons for making moves at certain times. If you feel deferring is what YOU should do, by all means defer.

Hmmm Is this not the way to check the rate for conversion?

solarinde:
Oanda rate is 495.023 as at this morning. This has been the highest for some months away now, it may & may not increase. Fingers crossed.

TravelRe: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 4 by naledis(f): 8:41am On Jul 28, 2020
Thanks for your input. I will take necessary steps ASAP especially as I have offers from other universities.

BouharryArtikou:
The earlier you move on, the better.
If e no be panadol, e no fit be like panadol.
Sunderland Sunderland is great.
London Sunderland is not so great.

I’m sure they are doing you this hide and seek because your course may not Run in London anymore.

All those Middlesex Street so-called campuses can disappoint tooooo much.
TravelRe: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 4 by naledis(f): 1:08am On Jul 28, 2020
Lol definitely not serious.

In other unrelated news, exchange rate on Oanda has hit N501. Please fund your accounts if you still can to avoid having further delays with your maintenance requirements. At this rate it’s not too much to use N600/700 as a benchmark

mattfeuter:
But that school sef, they clearly aren’t serious! undecided

They wouldn’t even consider the fact that you’ve paid full tuition or do they think it’s peanuts?? angry angry

That money carries weight ( Home and abroad) cheesy

Yea I have conditional offers from 3 other unis in London.

I have also emailed Sunderland London one more time to understand what’s happening. I’m hoping to have this all resolved soon so I can move on

mattfeuter:
Ok,

Apply pressure on them , You should also consider applying to other universities in London and get your refund. Time waits for no one.
