i just pity online applicants...you just have to wait..most paper application submitted 1st wk of aug has been ready for collection since tuesday and ongoing.... have said it several times for future applicants...DO NOT APPLY ONLINE till feb '17..

I submitted my visitor visa application online in May, 27th to be precise, did my biometrics on the 31st of May. This is now September and still no update, I don't even know who to call for inquiry but can testify the 60 days on their website isn't accurate.

well, its expected...when all focus of prospective student and co has been shifted from US/UK to canada...also all online application, PR,student are process in accra..while lagos office process visitor visa via paper submission.....couple with the few staff they have...

That online application is just filled with unnecessary suspense these days. It used to be fast before but not so any longer, as it takes up to 3 months and some weeks, based on statistics of peoples' experiences.

even though paper application is 8wks for complete application while online 3mth on average...i think several factors determine the processing speed. like, immigration,background,bank check etc..if ur application form is well fill and complete, you should get a response by tues nxt wk..

I need to travel on the 7th of October for a conference (paid and non-refundable). Is there still hope for me? It's been 55days. You might have issues with CBA at d point of entry.. If you are to travel now make sure you have another admission ready with you of which you must have notify CIC online by transferring your DLI... However, you can as well take the risk...

In my opinion,I don't know if that is true but based on my own experience,all the naija students that I have met and known till date I don't know of 1 that abandoned school and applied for asylum. Not even one...and have been here for some number of years now. I will like to see the statistics this individual used to come up wt this conclusion.most finish school and move to provinces wt more jobs and opportunities and easier Route to permanent residence.

Make I also share good news with you guys here..my Technician Applied for TRV on the 20th of July. I accompanied him to VFS today after were done with the presentation we went for, around Lekki. He was panicking like kilodeee, since he got his pickup message by vfs yesterday. Maybe because he perpetrated some blunders on his family information form, on which he mistakenly signed that he's got no kids, even though he submitted his child birth certificate and filled-in his boy's name in the column provided on the form. I noticed these mistakes on the photocopy he made, after he had already submitted his documents at vfs on the 20th of July. I told him to send them an email right away and attach a correctly signed and filled form which he did. On getting there today, he found a multiple visa, 2 years on his passport. He's a first time applicant to Canada but he's been to schenghen area a couple of times.(Hungary and Germany)

Below are the documents I arranged for him...

-Salary Account

-USD Domiciliary Account

-Euro Domiciliary Account

-2 Current accounts with 3m and 3.5m naira credit balance each

-Employment Letter indicating his leave date and salary structure

-Bond, which I prepared that he must remain under employment with us for 3 years( a good tie to his home country).

-Board Resolution stating the PTA that will be given to him upon issuance of his visa by CIC

-Copies of his Schenghen Visas(coloured)

-Copies of his previous foreign training certificates

-Flight reservation

-Hotel reservation

-Conference Invitation

-Conference registration invoice

-Introduction Letter and

-Itinerary

If ur dad bank statement is still intact, resubmit dis week, justfy while u want to study d course to help ur dad bsnes and so on via paper route though while u consider germany admission(free tuition).

for online route, you don't sign the forms separately. You only provide one signature covering the whole forms when you are ready to transmit (submit) th application to cic.

They are using #230 exchange rate. App fee is #34500' biometric is #19550 total #54050.however, additional charges apply if u require extra services like passport photos, photocopy et all.

that's the secret..."sponsor depositing funds an applicant account with remarks showing purpose"..

Like almost every new person says, I have been a silent reader for months now and I am here to share my experience for someone to benefit from it.
Here's my profile:
I am a pgc applicant ( lambton college)
Applied : June 16 ( paper route)
Sponsor : mother
Closing balance : 6.5 million and other landed documents
Didnot pay school fees
Travel history: Canada, us and uk
I have family ties in Canada and here in Nigeria.
I attached every required document cic requires then I included my transcript, a reference letter from a prof i worked with in the US ( during my IT) and I was waiting for their response, my application got to its 9th week when I got another admission to a school in Ireland for masters ( the Ireland system of immigration is almost the same as the Canadian system in which you can stay after school). It was a better option for me so i decided to withdraw my application.
Spent 2 weeks reaching out to cic to send back my passport as I got another offer. Sent a CSE, emails ( both I and my mum), placed phone calls, Twitted at them ( where they told me to send another cse), still got no reply and no passport back. Until suddenly on the 28th of August, got the medical call email and send it to me.
We still sent them more emails that we were not interested and they should send the passport back. Still got no response from cic.
I just go for the medicals and I did then they sent an email on the 8th of sept stating that they already called me for medicals, so I should please proceed for medicals.
I already did, so I did not reply the email or send another one.
I used the children's hospital which is at Raymond Njoku Lagos and they sent my result in 3-4 working days. And today the 15th of September I got a mail that my visa has been approved.

well. they have new ambassador(female) with less than 10 VO's, over 1,000 applications. thy work like 2/3hrs per day...while they are yet to employ more staff....

I really don't place much emphasis on Nairaland statistics because it is definitely not a true representation of CIC statistics. Not everyone comes here to write about their TRV process.

paper application is overall better..because..all online application, all student, PR and related applications are process in accra while visitor paper application are process in lagos...

I paid 7789cad 1st semester tuition fee,
My blood mother was my sponsor and still active in service,Inshot a Bank officer at zenith bank and i am the only dependant in her sponsorship.
Statement of acct for the period of 6months,no money lodgement, was 13mill inflow,6.1mill closing balance,her land docs,her stocks and its certificates.
total remaining school fees + accommodation and others were = 29200cad.employment docs of hers,her payslip,her work Id,intro letter,sponsorship letter,affidavit of support were in place. This is a total heart break for me. I have already applied for my GCMS NOTE and about to terminate my PGC admission with my school.To me it's clear CIC GAMBLES with pgd(c) TRV applications.my hardworks went in vain. I just don't know how to start all over again

quickly do this: resubmit immediately...fund the bank statment up to the bal of 10m...or transfer equi of 29,200cad(6,929,000) into your personal account..with an hyper SOP by your mum saying why shes determined to sponsor you with her available funds which is available in ur personal account..also show the break down of schl fees+liv xpens e.t.c in the SOP... and submit via paper only....they will give you...

my brother I can't say. through out this year from the beginning of 2016 it's been brutal for pgd students. if you have been following this thread one major reason is because of the ease of admission compared to MSC. it takes the grace of God to get VO approval for pgd. trv is either delayed or refused outright.

you cant really blame CIC..they are receiving huge application like never before..and since they work with documents submitted and priorities based on visa quota...so no doubt they might be considering M.sc applicants who met other visa conditions than P.gd applicants.

for FORM A - use ecobank and bid a bit higher like (N5)than selling rate in the bank hall... you should get it within 2wks.

in this case, travel immediately....for 32wks most airline will not carry such passengers...if u find it important to av ur babay there then sacrifice by travelling earlier...

Glory be to God. 10yrs ago(2004) several pastors saw same vision about me. I applied to all Scandinavian country for free tuitions schools and UK but nothing happen . No visa until 2012 I got US visa btw 2012 and now I swear have lost count of countries have visited infact only Canada, Australia and China have not visited. So note that God's time is not same as yours.. Your faith shall make you whole..

I got refused the second time though I haven't gone for my document... Reason I call it failure is that I wasn't called for medical and my documents have been dispatched. Meanwhile last November, three different pastors told me that I will win visa though I never told them to pray for me based on my visa application, they just had the vision and I was happy since I never mentioned anything concerning travelling. But still I got denied.


In February, I went to a pastor he looked at me from head to toe and told me he is seeing me travelling to school somewhere, I was shocked but today my passport is been dispatched without medical, I hope no one go come tell me say make I expect miracle... I Don tire... Even na same pastor come tell me say as he dey look me so, in future I am not destined to marry a lady of a fair complexion meanwhile dark lady no dey move me self .... Wetin to believe.... Lol this one na die... Chaiiii no be prayer dey work here my people, I fasted like Jesus.... In fact fasting no be fasting, night vigil upon night vigil now see where e Don land me. My people package well you go win visa
