I tell you, you would be amazed to know that some people would not mind the longest, wettest fart. wink Even if you take a dump in their presence, they will only hold their nostrils and turn the other way round.
As long as they are getting stuff from you, they dont mind what you do. Talk about people's lack of dignity. You would be shocked!!

Did i forget to mention that my bf mentioned to him that he wasnt comfortable with his girlfriend moving in, as he wasnt consulted and prepared for that, and what was his friend's reply? - that his fat a*ss chic was new in town, and didnt have any friends. Can you imagine?
And you are here talking about fart. Lmao

You're just sooooooo funny!
My dear, that was the only way I could pass the message across, as the guy decided to ignore everything I had done. Fancy living off someone else when you are working and earning your own money.

I had to drink panadol for another person's headache, since he was being "too polite" to complain.
FamilyRe: How Do You Chase Away Unwanted Guests? by nanidee(f): 6:21pm On Nov 03, 2011
Lol, This story sounds too familiar.

My boyfriend was faced with exactly the same situation as the OP, infact, his was worse, because this was a serviced apartment, meaning extra pay, and not only did his friend and girl friend stylishly move in with him, they were practically living off my boyfriend. Eating up everything in the fridge, drinking everything, and the most annoying part was receiving visitors and serving them drinks, food et all.
This leech of a friend claimed he wanted to be closeby because of some meeting he had to attend, and as he put it, "his place was far from town".
Voila!!! He slowly brought his belongings, and before you knew it, his very fat girl friend landed as well.

Geeezzz!!!! When I realized what was going on, and knowing my guy to be very easy going and courteous, I had to step in sharp sharp. grin

*first things first, i made it clear that no one should take anything  I put in the fridge, as I would not take it lightly. Then I took up the responsibility of buying the groceries  wink
* next I made the kitchen quite uncomfortable for the fat a*as girlfriend, when I realized that she only goes in there to cook my boo's food for her and her boyfriend, without even caring to make some for my boo. ( that was the height)
* I insisted that no one touches "my food stuff" yes! I called it mine
* I made sure I cooked some really appetizing meals, just for me and my boo, made sure they saw it, and whenever the guy asks
for some, I politely say "sorry, my baby might want some more. You know he works so hard to make enough money to pay the bills, and I don't want him to get hungry at any time" and then, I'll suggest he eats some bread as there's some in the cupboard.
grin

Trust me, with the nasty attitude I put up, (especially remembering to sing Jason De'rulo's - don't wanna go home) anytime I see them, it wasn't long before the fat a*as girlfriend moved out. Lol.

The boyfriend decided to be stubborn and stay back, that's when I started getting real nasty. Trust me, even my boo started to get soo uncomfortable, that he quickly consented when I suggested we go spend the weekend in a hotel.

The leech had no choice but to leave, since he couldn't pay for the serviced apartment for the little time that my boo wasnt going
to be around.

After that incident I became unnecessarily nice whenever he calls my boyfriend. I would even shout "hello, longest time" over the phone, and sometimes insist on saying "hi" to him.  cheesy

Whew, Sorry for the long story, but I couldnt help remembering this.

So, my advice, like someone said, get your woman to pay you a visit. She'll sort it out in no time. This one requires brute force lol.

FashionRe: Sylvia Nduka At The 2011 Miss World Pageant by nanidee(f): 3:51pm On Nov 03, 2011
Beauty tĦey say, lies in the eyes of the beholder. In other words, beauty or "shapely figure" (as the case may be) is subjective, everyone has his or her own opinions/views about what to accept.

Also, once someone becomes a beauty queen, there will always be people who would not agree 100% with the judges or who ever confered the title on the lady in question, so tĦere's nothing out of place in someone airing her views on a beauty queen. After all what appeals to Mr. A might not necessarily appeal to Mr. B, and so the story goes.
Iτ̅ is almost impossible to come across any beauty queen who will be favourably accepted by everyone. Even the most beautiful and sexiest celebs have their own critics.

So no big deal with someone not sharing similar opinions on the beauty and "shapeliness" of a beauty queen.
FamilyRe: Am Such A Useless Person. Advise Me by nanidee(f): 1:09pm On Nov 03, 2011
@OP, I dont consider someone who can come out and bare his heart out as a weak or useless person. Infact that makes you a strong man.

Going by your story here, its easy to understand your frustrations, and they basically stem from the fact that you would like to be independent, but time and chance has not been in your favour. You want to be able to take care of yourself and look out for yourself, but somehow, you are unable to do this.

Granted, in a much developed world, you would have been on your own since you were 18 (or as the case may be), but thanks to the Nigerian/African culture and the economy, this seems unattainable.

My advice:
Open up to your mum (if possibly, cry. Yes, i said it, shed some tears), tell her how depressed you feel. Let her know you have tried your best to remain decent, given all you have gone through. You see, Mothers have a soft spot, and its easy to get to her. I am sure she would be able to help you out, even if it means getting some money from your dad for you.

I see you mentioned petty trading somewhere, which shows you are ready to make it as much as possible. You can mention all this to your mum, ask her how she can help you, and then, even if it means looking for a part-time job (i see a lot of part-time jobs being advertised everywhere, even on nairaland, and especially marketing jobs) i think they would be easier to get.

Another suggestion is this: if you have someone abroad you are really close to, who can trust you, and  who you can trust as well, you may wish to talk to him or her on the prospects of sending you some stuff to sell. Like clothes, accessories, perfumes and stuff like that. Both of you can agree on the mode of payment, and i observed you sound honest and credible, so you might use those qualities to get some extra favour. By the way, those things are easy to sell, and you would make some money for yourself in little or no time.

You mentioned something about your degree?  The thing is, you dont have to be entirely dependent on your certificate. Try to focus on something you can do for yourself. Take time to think and meditate.

I also noticed you mentioned that you are out going? try as much as possible to go to decent places, and im sure you'll meet up with people who will be able to influence you positively. You definitely dont want to be around people who can not affect your life positively in any way.

Above all, connect with God. He understands every little bit of what you are going through. Talk with him in prayer, and develop a father-son relationship with him, and I can assure you that you will end up smiling.

I wish you all the best, and please never look down on yourself. Only loosers do that.

RomanceRe: {help!} - She's Is 24 And I'm 19. She Said She Has A Crush On Me. by nanidee(f): 6:46pm On Oct 30, 2011
I wonder why there are so many warped minds these days. Someone is talking about what he is going through and almost everyone (especially those with corrupt minds) is screaming BLEEP HER! BLEEP HER!
Oh puhlease, for crying out loud, the whole world doesn't revolve around "bleeping"!!!

@OP, Omega25red has given u one of the most appropriate replies.

Iτ̅ looks like she wants to use you as a rebound! She has been through a heart break, and at this point, she needs someone's shoulders to cry on, she needs someone who can make her take her mind off the pain and hurt she is going through, and you seem to be the person who is more likely to give her the arttention she desperately needs right now.

Don't get too carried away, or be led to believe sĦe's in love with you. Right now, she just needs someone to help her get over her hurt, someone she can divert her energy to. This may or maynot be a sexual/emotional thing, iτ̅ may be more of the need for companionship or comfort.

I observed she used the word "crush", so OP, you may want to thread with caution here. The fact that iτ̅ looks and smells like honey, doesn't mean iτ̅ is honey (go figure). You even seem to be leading her on. I don't know if you are intersted in taking this journey with her, but its imperative that you realise that tĦere's a 90% possibility that you are being wanted as a rebound, and the moment she gets over her hurt and meets "someone special" she will dump your young a*ss, as I can definitely tell you she's not looking forward to a future with you.

Someone who just barely got into school, and has at least 4 years to complete his degree, and on the other hand, a graduate of 24 yearshuh? Oh come on, read between the lines. Open your eyes, you should be able to handle this.

And like someone pointed out, pay more attention to your studies, this will just take away your time and energy, which should be channelled into something more productive.

Sorry to deviate from the topic, but encomium is hardly the magazine to expect to get any credible information. Not in anyway better than city people. All tĦey know is gossip and gossip, with no reliable source.

^^ I think you have accurately said iτ̅ all.
BusinessRe: Top 22 Richest People In Nigeria 2011 by nanidee(f): 2:35am On Oct 30, 2011
Hmm, Considering the above criteria for coming up with these names, he should'nt be on that list (my opinion anyway)

My point is:
1) I doubt if the value of "slok's" shares in quoted companies is significant at all.

2)I doubt if the size and market value of "slok's" shares is anywhere near impressive

3) How many "credible and legitimate" company does Orji Uzor Kalu own?

4) Just like above, does or do (incase there are more than one) his company(or companies) have any brand/product with high market value?

5) Unlike the Dangotes, the Adenugas, the golden penny/flour mills people, the bankers and even the "oil merchants" who wε can all see some impact (either positively or negatively) on the Nigerian economy, what can wε actually say of Orji Uzor Kaluhuh?

I am sorry to say this, but seeing him on that list, the only thing that comes to mind is "public funds". But then again, I stand to be corrected.
BusinessRe: Top 22 Richest People In Nigeria 2011 by nanidee(f): 1:33am On Oct 30, 2011
There are some people I believe should not be on that list, like Orji Uzor Kalu, What is his area, or what industry can be used as a benchmark for his so-called "wealth"?

By the way what is "slok"huh?? What do tĦey do? Who knows the business tĦey are into??

Infact, so many of the people up there don't merit iτ̅ !!

Smh @ unbelievable levels of folly.

I am really fuming here!! What the hell do these animals think Nigerians are? So nigerians are going to sit back helpless and watch this happen? Lmao.

PoliticsRe: The One You Were Shown Was Not Muammar Al-gaddafi by nanidee(f): 5:30am On Oct 28, 2011
In response to this wild imaginations of some islamist groups, I thought There was a DNA test carried out on the remains of Gadhafi? undecided

cap28:
they lied that bin laden had been killed recently knowing full well he had been dead for 10 years - nothing is off limits as far as these NATO psychopaths are concerned - as far as im concerned the jury is still out on this.
Is this some kind of jokehuh?

Back to the topic, for these people who have decided to deceive themselves that gadhafi is alive, I guess I have to ask them if
his children were by any means left out of this "plan"?

Or probably his son Saif Al Islam (or whatever his name is, and who is ready to give up his hiding) is probably a fake too?

Or perhaps the whole family were  cloneshuh?

But just incase they weren't clones, then I dare to say he (Gadhafi) must have really been a demon for his "solo" moves to save himself alone at the expense of his family.

So to this story, it's fa-fa-fa-foul cheesy

The story tellers should try harder.
