As a born again Christian who is meant to speak the truth at all times, i think we Christians cum southerners has overblown the good intentions of president Buhari on this issue of Ruga settlement. We complain of how Fulani herdsmen are destroying our farms and killing people without facts, yet we we reject a program meant to isolate cattle herders in a confined location nationwide. Before we blab further, let us remember that the Fulanis are Nigerians like us and the Nigerian constitution guarantees them freedom of movement and doing business nationwide. If an igbo man can have multiple shops in Ladipo, Alaba, kano and other places, why can't we live peacefully with the Fulanis like we tolerated the igbos who are the most traveled tribe in Nigeria I hope we Christians have a rethink about this so we can have lasting peace

Sir, am not igbo but the igbo scenario doesn't play in here. The igbos just like any other business man, travels, rent and own shops all over the country but the common truth is, he "Pays" for all these properties. He does so because he knows this is his private business. In addition to paying fully for these properties, they try as much as possible to be law abiding (maybe few hiccups) at worst cases, they could do anything but not being terrorist.
The igbos dont opening and brazingly kill fellow patriots.
But unlike the fulanis, who having their private business, is asking federal government to forcefully take other people's land and assign to them not only for a tenured business venture but for everlasting ownership. Sir, not only are these two different scenarios, they are far apart. How can someone take your own land forcefully and handnover to someone that will kill you at every slightest chance to own. And you expect to be living with these person in the same environment. A look at northern Nigeria will tell you who these guys are. If they are peace loving people, northern Nigeria will not be the way it is today. Now they have killed, destroyed lifes and properties, they are looking for where next to move to to cause mayhem.

But honestly, we are our own problem. Nigerians are so good with anything theory. We have collectively identify the common problem to Nigeria's growth, but we will not do anything practical about it but choose to complain. The igbos will see the killings of yorubas as a yoruba problem, and the yoruba will see the killing of benue people as north central problem. But we will NOT see that there is a common killer who is determined to "kill" Nigerians in every region (just turn by turn). We just feel relax because for the time been, it's happening in the other region, but let me burst your bubble, the fulanis are not out to kill yorubas or benues or efik and take their lands, they wish and want to kill ALL OF US, from every region and tribe, reduce our population, enthrone their emirs, then force everyone to accept islam. Fela was so right, Nigerians are always too afraid to die.
Stopping fulani and their agenda is so so so easy and can happen in less than a month if every region sees it as a Nigerian problem.
The fulanis are having their ways because they understand the simple division between us Nigerians. They know killing benues, Ijaws will not come to their rescue,..... killing igbos, the yorubas will not come for their rescues.
Let's ask ourselves some simple important questions,
1. whats the population of the fulanis?
2. How many of this fulanis can be in every states killing at each time including their brotgers from niger and chad etc.
If all the regions (youths probably) can harness and fight eliminate every fulanis in their states/regions, cordinate ourselves with arms go into these forests and kill these guys, see an injury to one state or region as injury to every good Nigerian, fighting and killing them from every corner simultaneously, we would have reduce these fulanis to bearest minimum that they cant pose as threat anymore.

Bring a new, liberal and educated yoruba presidential candidate and you will see a higher percentage of southerners including igbos supporting him. The question is why.

The Igbos can very well survive on their own without any government presence. Arguable the only tribe that can do that in Nigeria.

I have taken a very close look at the Igbo race. A majority of hard working men and women of this region seldom care if not little about who rules or not. So long the Nigeria environment is favorable for business, they are fine. Arguably the only tribe that posses such political nonchalance.

A people taken through the menace of war are usually tough and unrelenting. For generations, the story of how they survived an onslaught for 3 years is being passed on to their children. A tale eradicated from our public schools, purged from our history books, is being told in it's true context amongst families. That is how they pass tenacity and survival instincts to generations born after the war.
