Ashely and Ivanovic have absolutely negated Lennon and Bale respectively. Let's hope I haven't spoken too soon.

What was that from Malouda?

My thoughts as well. How can we not have Kalou on the right tormenting Corluka's life?

This is what happens when your set-up is wrong from the beginning.
Carllotti knows this and he wastes the opportunity.
Now he's got to bring off a Drogba or Torres that he could have brought in on the 60th minute.

Essien's strength is needless. He should give way for a more creative Benayoun.
Let's play with some damn width and score goals.
These guys are one of the more inconsistent sides in the PL. How can they be one up and not looking like they are going to concede any time soon?

Corluka at LB. Carllotti should have Kalou committing him on the right of a 4-3-3.
Nice play Torres.

Carllotti should not be experimenting in this game.

See what i was saying earlier? PVA is a "TOP CLASS LB" and that's why he plays for Leicester. . . will you just STFU? You have no clue what the difference is between potential and current ability.

Not so long ago i had to call you out when you described Josh as "ABSOLUTELY WORLD CLASS".

Do yourself a favor and get an English tutor so you can stop embarrassing yourself left, right, center and in alternate reality.
I am so sorry if I got on your nerves. This must annoy you to death.
Pat does not play for Leceister, he's on loan to Leceister and currently being kept out of the first team by arguably the best left back in the world.

I called him a top class LB. Not a world class left back. Except you are telling me they are the same.
And though I may have called some of Josh's skill world class I challenge to find the post I called him world class.
If you like sh.it for your trouser. Na you sabi.

Bros.

You can't put moronic words in my mouth. Yes some Chelsea youngsters are doing well. I am excited about the prospect of them taking over from the senior and "perhaps" someday become great players. I spent a lot of time covering youth football last season. For as many yougsters I mentioned as having a good chance of being great, I mentioned a host of others I will not like to see wearing a first team shirt. You can't assess my conclusions in isolation.

I have been watching these guys grow up for over 3 seasons. To see them on the brink of first team appearances is a joy to me. Am out of line? Absolutely not.

You will however not catch me comparing them with any players. Except on this very occasion. And I repeat, Ryan is a better left back than Clichy.
Ryan does not play for all those crappy sides, he plays for Chelsea but on loan to those clubs. He was not signed by them and because Clichy plays for a more superior team is not testament to his automatic superiority. That is a very lazy statement. I mean  Almunia until a few months ago was first choice goalie of Arsenal. By your dumb logic, he is better than every keeper in the Championship by virtue of the fact that he plays for Arsenal.

Barcelona are linked with Clichy?  Hehehehehe. Suddenly it is ok to believe crap journalism. Okay let's say it's true, I will take you down memory lane.
A certain Arsenal player was linked with Barca a few seasons ago, actually he moved there. I spotted him some time in a blue shirt playing relegation football.

Because a big team is linked with a player is no automatic testament to a player's quality. Francis Jeffers was supposed to take the world by storm. Now he plays for Motherwell in scotland.

Clichy is crap. Poor positional sense. Deficient defensive skills and makes more crucial mistakes than all of his colleagues put together. And because he plays for Arsenal does not mean fk all. Carlos Vela plays for Arsenal but I can conveniently say Connor Wickham is wayyyyyy better.

You get?
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Chelsea Fans Thread : Winners of the FA Cup And League Winners 09/10 by nateevs(m): 10:34am On Apr 29, 2011
PVA is top class LB. I He's pacier than Ryan, delivers better crosses than Ryan and is just ahead of Ryan is the pecking order. .He has better qualities for a LW. However Ryan is better defensively, he is what you want in a LB, has great defensive positional sense, a better dribbler than Patrick, in fact Ryan is very very good dribler of the ball for left back.

If both players are managed well and their heads are in the right place, they everything to go on and be world beaters. They are only unlucky to be playing at the same time as Ashley Cole.

Yeah, i don't know who Ryan is. . . "Ryan Bertrand" is an alias and the CIA are currently trying to decipher his true identity. You can stop embarrassing yourself now!

Maybe what you mean to say is "Bertrand has the potential to become a better left-back than Clichy". Yes Clichy has regressed since making the PFA team in 2008, but don't come here and utter seismic crap like "Bertrand is a better left-back than Clichy".

Millions of reetarded opinions like that would have been averted on Nairaland if nuccas bothered to learn to use the English language properly.

As for Gibbs vs Bertrand, don't make me laugh. You have embarrassed yourself enough for one day cheesy
Though Ryan doesn't play in the PL yet, he already is a better LB than Clichy I am sorry.
Clichy can only be LB for a team not serious about winning anything.

His defensive awareness is average at best. While he is a decent player going forward, his his decision making defensively leaves a lot to be desired.
His positioning most times is very poor and makes more mistakes than the whole of Arsenals defense combined. I can however see how is still celebrated at Arsenal.
Dudes over there have no desire to win anything.

I will take Gibbs over Clichy any day. And Gibbs is not even all that!  grin

The problem is you are doing with the wrong players. Ninnies who can't withstand the mental toughness required for 90 mins let alone one full season. Plus Barca went to the market when the had to.
In recent history, players like Ibra, Villa, Alvez, Keita have not gone there for pennies.

You want to achieve the same feat with 3 for £5 players. Sorry you are trying to be them. You wont make it.

@Nateevs
What are you talking about. . . .
Like this team can only be beaten by playing negative footie. . .
I DISAGREE
Sebi you guys play fantastic football. . . Why una no beat them?
What's worse? They made you guys look like a reserve team at your own style.
You guys have to be the only team in the world with the closest style to them and you parked the bus.

Give me stats of how many teams beat them in the last 3 seasons without parking the bus.
You want to beat them playing fancy, you have to have a Xavi and an Iniesta to begin with.
There are only a handful of players in this whole world like these two.
Then you have to have a philosophy, irrespective of manager. This philosophy is bigger than the club, the owners, the players. It's the blue print with which the manager performs his duties not the other way round.

This philosophy doesn't mature from manufacture in one single season.
It means you have got to be prepared to lose games and trophies and be unsuccessful for a long while.
Your first team all the way down to your under 6 kids have to play that way.

Barca players know only how to play that way. What makes them special is not how they move the ball when they attack but how they retrieve it when they lose it. They press en masse without losing shape. They are super fit, 3 players on every opponent and they always try to get the ball back in 3 seconds!

Now tell me how do you top this?
And this is coming from someone who hates Barca from head to toe.

Nor mind me jare, I hate the way the English press fall over themselves about the chap. Great tactician no doubt but not my type of manager lai-lai doesn't develop players, always plays negative and so ungracious either in victory or defeat. If all coaches were like Jose, I would stop watching the sport. How can you have that amount of talent and come up against Barca so negatively and then complain about cards? Should football really be more about stopping your opponent from playing as to playing yourself?  undecided
What did Arsenal do against Barca? Every single manager on earth will do what Jose did.
Barca have a guy called Lionel Messi who can walk past five players like they are not there. Have you heard of him?

Arguably the best player ever to play the game. He will do it next week again. It's not a fluke. He was born to do it.
He's only 23 and already Barca's 3rd all time leading scorer and he's not even a striker.
He scored 185 goals for club and country. 83 assists for club and country.

52 goals in one season. If he plays in every game till the end of the season he could score 60 goals easily. In one season.
Assuming he achieves this, he will be 3rd behind Ferenc Deak and William Dean as two who scored the most goals in one season.
William Dean achieved this feat in 1927. Right now he stands as 7th.

Perspective . . every single player that ever scored over 50 goals in one season was a classic number 9 player. . Messi is not.

On top of that you now have two of the best passers of the ball the world has ever known, Xavi and Iniesta and you asks teams not to pass the bus.
