And which back-up do you have for Ashley?

is left flank wingers really our main priorities right now. i think we should be talking abt replacing

that aging squad with young hungry players in every department. but with ancelotti ,
Left winger is a priority. If Yuri blends, he is a player that can play left wing or left back. We currently have no back up for Ashley and for 3 seasons now Malouda starts the sesaon well then disappears for months. Yuri will be very useful.

We will sign more players. According to Buck, 3 or 4 will leave and 3 or 4 will come in. So let's see what happens this week.

Where's Carlotti. ? Anyone seen him yet?

I know Youtube is never a good way to judge but it sure gives you an idea. Here's an idea of what he can do. If he does this at Chelsea, Malouda will neva start a game.

He's not got the Robben trickery but he runs at players, is a threat on the wings and is purposeful with the ball. . . at least according to the Youtube video. What he did at 3.58 - 4.02 is priceless.

Ibime, You neva really fancied this fella did ya ? grin
Even though what he said looks like rubbish, it might hold some truth.

Maka published in his autobiography as well how JT forced the exit of JM. I have heard JT deny the accusation on talksport. , saying he will be glad if he had such powers. When asked by Danny Kelly his relationship with Maka now, JT replied Maka sent him a text telling him that it was a publishing error.

That is so hard to believe.

Bottom line is players will always fall out with Managers but when players have back door access the club owners, there will never be stability at the club.

Let's hope Terry, Ballack, Drogba and Cech don't dislike Carlotti's english!
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Chelsea Fans: Identify Yourselves Here by nateevs(op): 1:20pm On Jun 29, 2009
It was never a case of Carlo never liking old players, it was a case of if he will play an old player at the expense of an obviously young and talented player. . . . of which if I remember well includes players like Pato and Kaka.

My point is, at some point, Carlotti recognized a young talent played him, regardless of how good Pato and Kaka were.

The Pirlo thing can't be substantiated. Milan have said time and again that they have not received any offers for the services of Pirlo. So according to Milan who are to most believable source, Carlotti has not tried to buy Pirlo.

And Hoeness saying no one can buy one of Ribery's legs for £45m only tells you what Madrid has done to the market.

Milan reportedly last week turned down, in Galliani's words, "An astronomical bid for Pato from an English club" Regardless of whether it's Chelsea or not, Milan are in debt and need that astronomical bid. Instead they come out with a statement on their website saying Pato is not for sale when the true position of things maybe that they are waiting out for a squeeze  - "£10m more won't be a bad thing. Kaka went for 56"

Inter also slapped a whopping £76m on Ibra soon after the transfer of Ronaldo. Athletico are waiting on a £50m bid for Aguero.

And there is nothing like that true market anymore . . . It's now a market for the "elite" and then "Arsenal and the rest"  grin

Salary and transfer fee caps will be inevitable at this rate. I support it whole heartedly.

Stop deceiving yourself, it is not Wenger or Ferguson we talking abt here, Ancelloti aint gonna field no youngster, even though

i wish to see those guys get more play time
What are you talking about? . . . Is this not the same Carlotti that gave Pato a chance. . . Gourcuff and Kaka? Very well he played a lot of older players, that I understand is a result of Milan's shambolic transfer policy which I believe Carlotti was not really in charge of. (I stand to be corrected though).

Don't get me wrong, I am not and have never been a fan of Carlotti but to conclude that he (Carlo) won't play youngsters is you trying to convince us here that while at Milan, he played older players at the expense the young and obviously-talented and I don't think you are really doing a good job.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Chelsea Fans: Identify Yourselves Here by nateevs(op): 3:41pm On Jun 28, 2009
@Tudor.

DiSanto will hit the ground running. He only needs that chance and support from a good manager. I saw him with the reserves. When he signed, I felt he will join the youth team; he did but he was way above them in no time. He was move straight away to train with the senior team and reserves where he scored 8 goals in 10 appearances. The way he felt comfortable with the likes of Ballack, Didier, Malouda was awesome.

He is not a Drogba, ghosting behind behind the last defender is his forte. He's got an eye for goal and got footwork (being Argentine) that makes Drog look like a school boy. While I am not saying he will score 30 goals I am quite confident he can get 15 in all competitions if given the chance. That, I think could be a great jump-start to his career.

He will hit the ground running. I couldn't say the same for the other young players except Mancienne, Kakuta, Matro Mitrovic and maybe Gokhan Tore.

One other player, Sergio Tejera, who was loaned to Mallorca last season I learn has been signed permanently by Mallorca on a free transfer.  One day we will look back and regret it. That boy is going to grow into a very expensive footballer.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Chelsea Fans: Identify Yourselves Here by nateevs(op): 11:01pm On Jun 27, 2009
Thing is we don't even know if Drogba will be here next season. I believe DiSanto can step up and become that player we hope for if only he gets the chance.

Reiterating what Ibime was saying, the figures flying around are absolutely ridiculous. . . . I am not against buying a £30m-rated youngster striker but Madrid have turned the market on its head, £25m or £30m 2 months ago was a lot of money for a player; today it looks like peanuts. It doesn't make any kind of sense, financial or otherwise spending over £30m for one player.

I much believe that we are very active behind the scenes in the transfer market. It's just a matter of time before we begin to unfold the things.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Chelsea Fans: Identify Yourselves Here by nateevs(op): 1:43pm On Jun 27, 2009
We don't have to sign superstars to rule the world. We only need to sign the right players. That's all. Carlo may have plans to make DiSanto and Kakuta world's greats in the future.

While signing Aguero, Pato, Ribery, Kaka and Tevez will be a good thing we may not get them after all.

I heard the club is trying not to concentrate on future stars like Sturidge, Alan Dzagoev, Jonjo Shelvey.

July 1st when Carlo will be officially will spell in clear terms what we intend to achieve in the transfer market. So far I believe things are working out behind the scenes.
We do things silently at the bridge now. . let's hope for the best.

TRANSFER NEWS:

1st signing.

Chelsea have secured the signing of Daniel Sturidge. Though a tribunal is going to decide the final compensation fee. City want to rip Chelsea off (£10m) while Chelsea are looking to pay no more than £3m.

Guess we'll meet in the middle and pay around £6m. Whichever way, good signing.

I think it would worry us if we don't spend. Splashing the cash around is not a bad thing, as long as we splash it on the right stuff. We won't win anything if we don't splash the cash.
Bear in mind that the guys behind us are not waiting. . .

Very Selfish is the only thing I don't like as well. Besides that he is a very good player. He will be able to learn how to put his abilities to fruitful uses with the experience of our midfielders and CA could make him into world class.

I hope we can sign him. Having him, Pato, Drogba and lampard on the same pitch will produce magic beyond belief.

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Chelsea Fans: Identify Yourselves Here by nateevs(op): 5:29pm On Jun 14, 2009
Wait ooo. . .

As far as I am concerned, we only have Lampard, Ballack, Essien and Mikel and Deco.
Belletti is a RB, Anelka is a striker, Deco will be leaving this summer.

That can't be too many. We cannot delibratelt ignore talents that are better than the ones we have because we are attached to them. . . Other clubs don't wait. We have to continue to strengthen. If we bring in someone that will bench Lampard and Ballack once, so be it.

Manure said goodbye to CR. . . can we?
