Playing a conference league match every fortnight against Noah and Abraham fc, will do little to his development to top level compared to playing a competitive league match every weekend. That's what helped those you listed above and like those, Guiu is naturally gifted and looks hungry for success.

That some players didn't make it via the loan system, doesn't render it ineffective. We just need to send him to a team that desperately need a striker. He needs to be playing regularly to build his confidence and improve his skills.
Despite this, there's no reason for him to go on loan as yet. If we are buying an Osimhen/Gyokeres profile striker, then one can make that case, but if we are sticking with Delap, then he should stay and slug it out. He stands a better chance making it here, than elsewhere.

No matter what happens, players dip in performance and confidence - especially strikers. Only us have the interest to lift him through that. Other teams will just go splash money on another striker and relegate him to the bench.

I am still hurting from losing Gabriel and Lewis Hall - two players, who would be in the first team by now, had they stayted.

He won't improve rapidly sitting on the bench or doing 10 mins cameos.
He's not doing 10min cameos. He's playing full games in the Conference League after successfully relegating Nkunku to second fiddle.

I expect him to play tomorrow and get more playing time in the league as time goes by. I don't want him joining some nonsense team who will relegate him to the bench, and then his overall form regresses.

In the last 20 years, only Cortoius, Abraham, James, Chalobah, Gallagher, RLC and Mount have gone on loan and returned to command a first team shirt. The loan system is mainly flawed. It destroys more players than it helps.

If we can't get Gyokeres, we should take Delap this January and loan them Guiu.
But why? Guiu is a seriously good talent we should not be loaning him out. We keep all strikers, even if we are getting Delap.

We are lucky so far we've not had injuries in CF positions.

You can only talk for yourself bro.

Jackson that someone like Nateevs adopted and defended by saying we only needed quality support casts? What name did he not call me for asking for his replacement?

Now that his Jackson is casting terribly on his face, he is avoiding rating his performances. Same thing he did for Morata is playing out. Later he will go completely dumb after defending the below average striker for months. grin
1. No one called you names for calling for Jackson's replacement. This is pure hallucination. You actually think you are the only one calling for Jackson's replacement?

2. No one has avoided rating Jackson's performance. When did this happen?

Ironically, it is the same defence that he played and won multiple trophies, conceding less goals along than the so called better Reece James.

And also, isnt it funny that a proponent of Johan cruyff school of thought is preoccupied with a defensive minded full back?
I am a proponent of Rinus Michels/Johan Cryuff but without losing all sense of caution. I am a big fan of attacking full backs, only just the types that know how to defend as well.

Football has changed. Rinus Michels never had to play against ultra pressing machines like Liverpool. If he did, he would vary some of his methods. But I don't need him to. I can just see many decades later, that you can bring your own attacking plan all you want, but if you need your defenders to wear their defensive acumen at certain phases in a game, then they must. If they can't, na wahala.

Reece James, when fit, is the quintessential FB - one who carries balance of all aspects of the game in one body. We don't celebrate an ultra attacking FB who's lost in a defensive shape, asking for directions

No one is arguing against us getting a better striker. I hope when we buy Haaland or a better striker, they will convert all every chance. In the meantime, what do we do with your Lil baby, Ben Johnson and the 250k per week winger who’s still practicing how to take shots?
Guy rest. He has completely forgotten you started this debate on his side, sitting very firmly with his talking points, but just differing a little bit. It's a mental flaw.

He's lost track of who said what, who argues what, what nuances there are in each debate, and most especially what not to debate.

He is an A or Z guy, incapable of seeing B to Y or any layers in any debates, except you agree wholeheartedly with him.

Whilst disagreeing with you, he will come up with the most shocking talking points like ..."Halaand got tired of carrying city but decided to start carrying them again".... and this is just the latest one. He will distance himself from his own talking points where necessary, and then jump on them again as soon as it makes sense to do so.

A40 got the perfect name for him. Elejo wewe. He just likes the sound of his own keyboard.

Trent fans don't know who Reece James is,talkmore comparing them. In Trent fan's world,Reece James doesn't exist. It is the other way round. The only way make James who hardly stay fit talkmore of playing is to compare him with Trent. As far as right back is concern Trent will always be James superior.
Trent fans don't understand what a defender should be. Trent is welcome to join the midfield.

James has defended better in his short spell on the pitch than Trent will fit the rest of his whole career.

There is no advantage of a luxury defender who is capable of shipping in as many goals as he creates.

Exactly why I was extremely furious that we were letting him go. He would have slotted in perfectly, doing what Lavia should have been doing, but with the extra ability to add goal.

The other one was Gabriel over Madueke.

I hope this year the number of ignorant fans like you, Lordfalcao, Timbros, Kimbeast, Capaldi, would reduce drastically and there won't be need to do lengthy tutorials on football basics.
You know you are doing a very bad job when you manage to turn Diggz against your views.

You know you are doing a bad job when most people disagree with you except Hesbrain, Mr Vischy, and Gucci.

You know you are doing a bad job when people are genuinely concerned if truly your online life is exemplary of how you approach your real life.

You know you are doing extremely badly when you don't even recognise the 3 above.... but in your head, you are giving tutorials.

Ferguson understands that football is psychological. New coaches need to understand that.

Ferguson doesn't approach every game the same way. He takes it to you the way you bring it to him.
Maresca has rarely approached two games the same way.

and yours till it is Trent.

Just 4hrs 90s football on X (twitter) posted video on Cafu and guess what ? it was only those fancy cross and not some defensive shit.

Where will James even see some defensive shit to play when he can't stay fit to play just a mins.
Again, you are making the mistake of comparing a defender who's not played football with a midfielder disguising as a defender, and then proclaiming the midfielder is better. Why are we doing this?

Celebrate a player who desn't know how to defend all you want. Please leave King James out if it.

We have been saying it for three years

He CANNOT defend.
His fan boys will wait until he delivers some fancy cross, and they starting foaming in the mouth, over a defender who constantly forgets his defensive responsibilities.

Even his manager knows this.
