NimrodEndOfDays: How do you honour a man whose case file is in the US as a drug barons? Whose wealth in Lagos is questionable? I cannot call him a thief but can he explain his source of wealth after he became Governor of Lagos State? The SW and misplaced priority. That is how a prestigious University invited a known thug to give a speech. Moral decadence. Go and make money |

Politics › Before We Kill Ourselves Next Election, Let's Ask Ourselves What They Have Done by nathanjohn2808(op): 8:17pm On Sep 07, 2018 |
This coming election will be like all others, its already happening, check posts on politicians or parties and you would see sane people having war of words already. Elections are fast coming, before we kill ourselves, let's ask ourselves these question.
-What have they done for us? -Will they continue these attitudes after they win? Have they in the past? -Even though they have and will, does it equate the life of my neighbor? What of his family? Who suffers the same fate as I from still the wickedness of those above who we kill ourselves for?
Please be sane. Support your candidate but do it with morality.
Live and let's live. |

There's absolutely no use to cultism. I've been to the south, stayed there for a year for youth service and saw how they massacred themselves for flimsy reasons. 'Him touch my girl', 'Him dey raise shoulder for me, him no know who I be?' I just feel its an institution for people with zero moral values. |

Lesnar: I am currently an undergraduate at one of the federal university, pls I really would like to know how you were able to get those certification (NIM, PMP, HRM), how you got involved in competitions, presented project at seminars, volunteered for UNICEF and how you gained leadership experiences.
I have been trying to do some of this things but don't know where to start from. First of all, put your ears on the ground, there is always one or two things going on that can change your life. Currently Unilever is organising idea trophy for undergraduates. Have you heard? One opportunity exposes you to others. Just value information and keep sourcing and filtering. Expand your creativity and your willingness to learn and unlearn. |

DeutschJunge: This is a good insight, however i think this are general things people already know. Most people that ask for your CV are interested in details, like what course did you study, your final grade, what sort of certification you did, how you improved yourself. Then they can model theirs properly..
The question I have though is how did you apply for these jobs? Were they speculative applications or actual applications through job adverts? If it was adverts, can you kindly share the websites..
Btw you sound like a very smart dude, congratulations on the new job.. wish you the best Okay. Studied engineering (which I believe is not a criteria for your work cos I now work in the financial market, capital market to be precise) Graduated with an Upper Certification: NIM, PMP, HRM, HSE(loading) Have some of my works published on newspapers, and magazines and ezines Involved in several competitions with big institutions like Unilever Presented my project at seminars Have volunteered for UNICEF and other organizations Leadership experiences All these are included in my CV |

FreeSpirited: Congratulations. I just want you to know its not as easy as for some people. You could afford 100k for transport alone in 3 months, I bet you, you are in another class of unemployed persons. Many cant even feed, many cant boast of 10k in the last 3 months. But then, you are one of the most privileged unemployed. Congrat for your doggedness anyway Thank you. I knew I would need money to look for a good job. I was based in kaduna n never wanted to remain there so I worked my ass off during service. Tutored over 40 students and could save over 150k |

Jobs/Vacancies › Don't Give Up: After Several Rejections, I Got A Good Job by nathanjohn2808(op): 6:48am On Aug 18, 2018 |
Some of you must have seen my previous post on how I lost several jobs, even after reaching final stage. https://www.nairaland.com/4603604/reached-final-stages-3-majorAfter I posted this, I reached final stages of two more and it looked so sure but then again, I got rejection mail. Sometimes, the interviewers will tell me how impressed they were but still reject me. I was getting fed up. Every single week for three months, I would travel for one interview or the other, sometimes, two in a day and it all comes down to nothing. But I noticed a trend in my application, the companies just kept getting bigger, if a smaller company rejects me today, a bigger one will call me for interview and it just kept increasing until the best I applied. I reached final stage and was scared I will be rejected just like the others but eventually got accepted to the glory of God. Let me give you my stats so you will understand better. More than 50 applications Over 30 assessment tests in 3 months About 25 interviews in the 3 months Over 100k spent in transport (for an unemployed somebody, this is huge) Reached final stages for 6 Got one So never give up, life may be directing you, to me, I felt they were all preparing me for my dream job, and hell yea they were. People were getting concerned for me, how I was able to manage seeing rejections every single week but still dress up and go for just another interview with same enthusiasm. But after each rejection I just smile and say, 'that was not meant for me, it was just preparatory class' and the mindset worked. Thank God. Never give up, never lose faith. |
