talktimi:Pardon me Sir!!! Well said |
mbhs139:Believing one side of a two sided story reeks of double standards |
Strategic placement to fund the upcoming Rivers election. |
Henovy:Numbskull, is the NDDC within the Ministry of Niger Delta Affairs? And for the wailing term, its already obsolete because everyone now is wailing, some in the open others like you, in their closet. Even the government now is subtly wailing so try another term. |
cleatoris:The last time they had an acting MD in the commission in the person of Dr christy Atako, she was already a director within the commission. How else do you want to explain the appointment of Amaechi's closest aide from outside the commission at a time such as this ( are you saying the NDDC lacks competent staff to handle her affairs in the interim, you better sack everyone there if you feel they are all incompetent). Anyhow you want to look at it, it's a strategic placement dor campaign funding. If you can't see it for what it is then I am afraid you happen to be the undisputed Dunce Of THE CENTURY. |
Candyrain:Ha ha ha bruv, 1 will be okay so I would be able to find my way home. ![]() |
cleatoris:Is your Amaechi's hands clean, typical APC "sophisticated zombie". If the news is true, then Ibim has been brought in to secure a channel of funding for the Rivers election re-run. |
Amaechi now in charge of the Commission, Another avenue to loot. APC chainnnnnnn |
haywire1:Nope, only giving all suspects a level playing field, from where they should defend themselves. |
As far as Dasukigate is concerned We must believe everything that comes out. After all Dasuki has proven to be an honest singer, everyone he has mentioned so far has come out to confirm receiving money (discrepancies in the amount in some cases) except MALLAM Buhari who came out with a denial. If Buhari is truly innocent let him sue Dasuki for libel. We all agreed without asking questions when names were mentioned, and no one should come to this thread to give logical explanations why we have to question the source in Buhari's case. |
Few Months ago, 3rd August 2015 to be precise Nigerians were informed about adjustments to receipt of Forex by DMB's. The major reason given, pointed to one cause that there was too much forex in the system to the extent that the banks would have to start rejecting Forex deposits http://dailypost.ng/2015/08/02/nigerians-banks-reject-dollar-deposits/. http://www.thisdaylive.com/articles/emefiele-cbn-supports-banks-decision-to-reject-dollar-deposits/216373/ This stand was supported by the CBN but criticized by notable MPC members that flayed CBN's Forex policy including nairalanders on here who were branded wailers. less than 5 months following the implementation of CBN's ban, todays complaint is about the serious shortage in available dollars to the extent that individuals ATM cards will be barred from making overseas withdrawals effective January 1st 2016. Can this administrations economic team admit to the populace that their decision was clueless, tactless and inept, considering how they refused to heed every sane advice on towing this current path. Suspending sale of P.T.A and at the same time stopping withdrawals from ATM's abroad is a clear attempt to bar Nigerians from travelling abroad for their deserved leisure and businesses, isolate them from the rest of the world, destroy the SME's that are actually the main drivers of any economic growth and put our Nation in the league of countries like North Korea (That are totally isolated from the rest of the world). APC Personal assistants should come give us the position of your principals on this issue |
LordAdam:Fratello don't mind the MALLAM that's how they reason, spell from the front or from the back, a MALLAM remains a MALLAM. |
EternalTruths:I seriously Concur |
Favolly:How will they get it dear how will they get it. This can not be explained off lightly what we are seeing is a reflection of the ineptitude of the present administration. Only 5 months ago the complaints was about the system being over-saturated with dollars and banks having their vaults so stashed with dollars that they have to start rejecting forex deposits. A few months later the complaints is about dollar scarcity, how did we move from one position on the financial rectangle to a diagonally opposite point on the same rectangle in 5 months. It was pointed out here at the time, the consequences of their actions but they didn't listen especially when they are spurred on here by their followers who up till now are yet to wake up to the realization that this pilot doesn't even have the coordinates of our destination. The issue here is the politics being played with our nation's destiny, what is a Prof. Pat Utomi or Chukwuma Soludo doing at home while a BSc. Student nominated by OBJ is manning our economic affairs at such a critical phase of our existence? |
"Those who don't learn from history are doomed to repeat it" -George Santananya |
Is Soludo also "CONCURRING" |
Excellent7:Well said bro!!! Well said |
DANILSA:Fratello, this wailing term has already lost its meaning because now every one is wailing, home based nigerians, nigerians in the diaspora, foreign tabloids, business men and salary earners, workers and the umemployed even the current government is wailing. So the lying liars can look for another term because this one is already a norm than an exception. |
Fawklicant:Now is the time to stock-up before we start queuing up with special I.D's and on particular days to get even simple commodities like milk. They said J.P morgan's delisting was inconsequential, they threatened and scared away oil tankers with discomforting requirements for crude lifting, they placed an unrealistic fine on mtn with their zombies cheering them on without knowing the resultant effect on the economy, resisted world bank advice on subsidy removal (as evident in their stand during their time as opposition with a knack for mobilizing zombies against any policy from the govt. Of the day) and devaluation and funny enough they will fall back on that as a last resort after all these trials and errors approach that we warned about, fai. Like the "proverbial fly when no dey hear word" this administration is hell bent on pursuing her vindictive agenda on the Nigerians that rejected them thrice at the polls. A few months ago ( August I think) the issue was too much dollars in the system, and they ordered everyone to stop depositing or receiving forex, forgetting that in 2014 alone Nigerians abroad remitted over 20billion dollars (Osibanjo during canpaigns). Five months later the wailing is about dollar scarcity. How confused can the head be. Everyone is now wailing, home based, diaspora, banks, foreign media outfits. The lying liars better come up with another term. |
Fawklicant:Fratello, history speaks to us everytime but the foolish won't learn and would forcefully want to have their way like they did in voting in the currrent president . 1984 found its way back into the cycle since May 29th 2015. KAI BABA |
erico2k2:Yes my brother, these were concerns that were raised here on these forum but people were branded wailers. Education is a tool to think I was taught, it becomes glaring that the 15million who voted for nepa certificate and supported a poorly educated bsc holder to man our economy, have made a very bad decision on behalf of all reasonable and educated citizens, home and abroad. |
And Nigeria toes the path of venezuela. Buhari and Maduro the same thing. The former a "certificateless" "socialist" dictator the latter a former bus conductor "socialist" dictator. Similar policies and similar effects on the citizens. |
abiolert:"In the battle of wits it's needless arguing with an unarmed man". Mr man whether it's the death of one person or 10000 people, nowhere in a civilized world are people killed because of the right of way of an individual who is paid from the state's coffer. Afterall even the c in c was stoned up north last year with no recorded loss of life. I repeat there is no rationally acceptable explanation for what happened in zaria. |
abiolert:Imagine your mentality. Smh " when they refused to leave the road". Where in a sane world are over a thousand lives wasted for refusing to leave the road. The mentality is pitiable at the top ( leaders) and unexpectedly worse at the bottom (followers). |
gboss4sure:Bruv, no doubts about what he is saying. The question I asked him was how many nigerians have access to forex from the banks. Seeing that for pta alone you can only do a few thousand in a quarter, your own hars earned money. |
bettercreature:So if only a few happens to have access for their businesses, what's the resultant effect on the economy. Its a cycle with drivers. Of the households do not have enough money the circular flow is badly affected and as a consequence the size of the economy contracts. Exactly what we are seeing play out. The government has wasted too much time with no direction already thats the worst thing that could happen in today's world where investors have to be extremely proactive and reactive by the second. We are only suffering the consequences of the administrations economic ineptitude. |
bettercreature:And how many Nigerians have access to that 208 naira? And what's the government's definition of legitimate businesses. |
bettercreature:That movie is a smoke screen to divert the publics attention from the government's ineptitude at managing the economy. Continue enjoying the show by monday the dollar will hit the 300naira mark. So muvh for celebrating that the pulling out of foreign investor's funds has no effect on the economy.
|
How were they supposed to save when the Nigerian philosophy is "fold your arms, sit and do nothing, bring all the money generated then share". With the current administration that isnt spending, only receiving revenues plus interest on whatever they met in the accounts, how much has been saved these few months past? 7lives: |
See that handshake, a job well-done. |
APC believes GEJ and Iweala inflated the size of the economy, but then decide to borrow based on a debt to GDP ratio of 12[-]. Their hypocrisy and villification of the previous administration is revealed with each passing day. |
abbey621:And the others admitted they knew the money was from the arms deal? |
