JstBrave: I got the message too.Same here. Abuja! |
@ Adesam01: I now know where you're coming from. Just say it, you got an offer for Msc n not PhD. For your information, I'm a serving Corper (serving in a University), I didn't apply for my Msc cos of NYSC. Will apply later this year to avoid the kind of 'crisis' you're in. Having offer at hand is not a problem. Its just a matter of applying after meeting the requirements. I guess my 1.1 (+ my statement of purose) is enough to get me that. My Univ ranks among the best five in the country... Again I repeat, there is no way you gonna go straight to PhD. I like your maturity. It shows you're really a 1.1 grad. All the best bro. |
A first class graduate from Nigerian University going straight to PhD. He-he! Man, get up if you're dreaming. Even though, that's the norm but I can tell you categorically that no university would do that now, not when no Nigerian Univ is ranked among the best 500 in the world! When you said Masters is for those with 2.1 n 2.2 that shows you still need check your prospectus. Msc prepares you for a field to specialises on/in during your phD. Its no more an 'added spice' to 2.1 or so graduate as u labelled it. Unless if you're going for your phD in a 4th world country. By December this year, I would be applying for Msc at Univ of Strathclyde, according to the prospectus I received, only 1st class n 2.1 are even eligible to apply for that course. mind you I'm also a 1.1 graduate! Pls verify your scholarship o, dnt be scammed. Neverthless, go for your NYSC, you can always leave it. Cheerio! |
olu16: i decided to ask on here since u guys have been there, cant be asking fellow novices like me... anyway thanks for making me laugh...use the word 'OTONDOS' instead of 'NOVICES'...Lol!...yours sincerely, Senior Corper! |
Do we have any Corper serving in Kaduna State Univ here? I relocated from Borno to Kaduna only to receive my posting letter which indicates KASU as my PPA. Any info as regards to the school, accomodation n other info would be highly appreciated!
|
PPA - Kaduna State University! |
We've been paid today. N39,600...double allawee (March n April)...#BenueCamp...#BornoKopa. Expecting Relocation letters next week! |
EmmyDe25: Yes! when u consider d payment side. But on relocation, it wont rily be funny o. Getting a PPA isn't much of a joke. Wel sha, if u have an oga at d top, or ur state NYSC secretariat decides to post u guys..oh, yeah. You're ryt. We've been briefed about the payment delay for the subsequent month(s)...it shall be well, especially if we get our state of choice.... |
ekeroyal: Are you sure? What's your source? Our state Coordinator told us. |
March n April payment for Borno n Yobe Corpers + our prefered state of redeployment...indeed we are blessed! |
Wednesday or Thursday? Shuh! These guys blood dey hot wella....See y'all there. Cheerio! |
Come 4th April, we are to storm Nassarawa n Benue Camps for our Orientation. Let's rub minds here. Mind you, this is for us, the Batch A, 2013 Corpers only. I got posted to Borno. You? |
Was posted to Borno, to resume Camp next month at Benue. With my Medical report from ABU Teaching Hospital, I'm sure to get redeployed back to my State; Niger. I even have my PPA ready; just a 2minutes walk from my house in Minna (London strt). Any Niger Corper- after your Camp-if posted within Minna, Holla, we might share my apartment! Cheers! |
Thanks! #BornoKopa |
kettykin: iF THE enemy is PDP does PDP equte to igbos should not Boko Haram have attacked the PDP government in Kano GovernmentI like your take on this but it seems you didn't open the attached link. If you do, you might have a glimpse of what am talking about. Prior to 1999, what we had were Riots, unrest that were easily curbed. What the latter Govt did and are still doing is; they noticed our weakest point is Religion. Mind you, BH is a perfect tool that some greedy n heartless people have hijacked to explore that lacuna (Religion line) to divide us. This is a quote from a Xtian Facebook friend: "The more critically I look at the Boko Haram issue the more I realise that Islam as a religion is a victim here. Boko Haram is decapitating the reputation of muslims nationwide. My muslim friends would never raise a pin against another man yet they find themselves abruptly drawn into the defence of their highly regarded religion all because some delusional few chose to advance another religion(adulte rated Islam) which serves their bloodthirsty interests." |
Too many theories already. As a learned citizen of the Country. Won't you rather sit quitely, muster on this; devoid of any sentiment and prejudice? The former NSA-Azazi was untimely fired when he bares the fact that PDP are to be blamed for Boko Haram http://www.punchng.com/news/nsa-blames-pdp-for-boko-haram-crisis/ It is left for you to decide if PDP is a religious party or not. You see, there at the top, they are united, regardless of Religion, region, tribe and any other division marker to achieve whatever they set to achieve. The perrpetuator of these heinous crime have one aim. Just one; and that is to DIVIDE US. Looking at the trend we are threading, it seems they might just be a click away from achieving it. The earlier we realise that we have common enemy the better. |
#BornoKopa here. Well, still chilling at home. Anybody here that's in Benue Camp? We need updates as regards the Camp: The conditions, the amenities, etc. Wishing y'all a successful roundup!

NYSC will still post people to Borno and Yobe and their Orientations is to hold in Benue n Nassarawa from 4th to 25th of April. Hmm! |
@mencade5 thanks for your reply.... |
The issue of ID card(s) been one of the requirements for Camp entry is still not clear to me. ABU only gives out Statement of Result after one must have submitted his/her ID card. Also, Alumni cards are not ready. What are we gonna use in their stead? |
5th March, We march! Not a coincidence. |
Abeg, those in the camp already should give us some hints about the camp. By 4th April, w would be there for our Camping.
