You didn't resume? Wow. Did you have backup?

Did the company call you?
After the interview when one of the staff asked how far as per the pay
When I told she was shocked
I actually told them my last salary when l was asked.

She said y didn't l lie
I said l would not lie and that they should have salary structure.
I decided not to resume within few weeks l got another job that paid me double of what l was paid by my last employer.

Ideally there should be salary structure in an organization.
Career / Re: This Happened In My New Work Place. Please advice by Ndidi2: 5:19pm On Jan 13
Jackanda1:
Youre right I was desperate, couldn't secure a job after a month of hunting.

I can't renegotiate the salary. They told me the nature of the job and asked me how much i wanted and i told them. The amount wasn't forced or imposed on me.

It would be foolish for me to apply for a pay raise. They can simply decline, bringing me down further. I would rather resign.

I already advised against shorting the market.
BTC has been consolidating after eight weeks straight of an uptrend. I was expecting the $46K while the majority on X and Nairaland were calling for $30K. And the psychology of trading had taught me that the majority are always wrong, so I chose the opposite direction. BTC made it to the $45K.
The macroeconomics as a whole has been favorable to the market, the CPI report came lower than the previous, and the FOMC had been paused on the 3rd consecutive meeting as I expected. And the majority are expecting dip to dip, BTC may continue the uptrend after this consolidation. May, may. Or one devil candle, and GOD candle follows immediately.

Stop short I the market if you don’t have trading skills. You’d be shortchanging yourself. Allow your money to dip it’s part of the sacrificial process. We’re bull all the same.

area before the consolidation, though.

It's the operation "do it yourself". I will not encourage the use of agent. Gather any info you need here in nairaland.com on USA visa thread and do it yourself although US visa is tough to get now. I wish you all the best.
Thank you.

Hello everyone, it's nice to come across this thread. I remember around 2916/17 I used to read on thread like this while I was in Nigeria hoping to find myself in the US someday but exactly end of 2017 I got in with my hubby. Anyway to those who still contemplating of coming to US do not give up your dream although US is very hard to get in now but some people are still coming in. US is a land of opportunities with less cost of living compare to Canada and UK although it depends on the State you are. If you are a new immigrant midwest states are the best for you(Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Iowa, part of Illinois,
Missouri etc) interm of settling in on time because the cost of living is cheaper and a lot of job opportunities for new Comer although the cold is much during the winter. I would not advise new comers with no legal status to stay in Atlanta, Texas, California, Florida etc Atlanta Georgia is out of the pictures because the state pays lower and some bills are higher eg Auto insurance is ×3 of that of Indiana. Texas is not expensive but no immigrants job(if you understand what I mean) California is generally expensive. We landed in Indiana which really helped us to get settled on time but we chose to explore and we moved to Atlanta but that was a mistake and we are planning to relocate back to Indiana.

I am here to give one or two input when it comes to issues here in the US.
l wish to migrate with my family
Any tips to get visa
Or genuine agent ?

That is a silly question to ask. undecided

2. What law says you can't do that though? Who says you should not or can't do just that? So you want instead for women to tie themselves down to deadbeats in marriage? undecided
it silly for u to insist a woman should leave her marriage bc the husband is temporary broke

I don't understand. Is domestic violence the only reason that exists out there for why a woman would want to leave a marriage or something? When you were dating... assuming you did... did you only leave a relationship only in the case of violence? undecided

2. Wow.. so leaving a marriage when there is no money to sustain it means one is chicken? Yikes! lipsrsealed

Define love? We all use that word as though it has the same exact meaning across the board when it never has. And why do we use love as a reason to shun commonsense? undecided

Look at Osinachi's case for instance. Did love keep her from being used as a punching bag in marriage? undecided

Did love keep starvation from ravaging OP'S sister and her children in the marriage? The love keep the man from eventually abandoning her and her kids for 8 solid years? undecided

Does love even have a real value if it one-sided? undecided
The issue in question is not domestic violence
d woman chicken out bc he is broke.
