odiaero: If i were u, i do go on six months relocation, u can never hv peace of mind staying in that street no matter if the police is informed or not, prevention is better than cure
But relocating isn't that easy. I am even afraid of returning home for the weekend. My husband is only trying to be courageous but fear is written all over me. Imagine, part of the letter says each house should set aside 200k for them. Sound ridiculous..

We have good security doors at home. What if they come and we fail to open the doors for them? Is that a good Idea?

maclatunji: For sure prayer is important (I was going to mention it at the end of my first post but I forgot). However, God does not expect you to only pray for things you have the capacity to confront yourself. 'God helps those who help themselves' is very true talk.
My brother, na true o. What i fear most is rape . The last time they came, i was told they raped two sisters(twin). That will not be my portion in Jesus name. I pray they do not come at all but like u said, heaven helps those who help themselves. We are taking good measures. Thanks again, sir

One just have to keep praying. This world is full of troubles and it is bad to know that the police can't help. The landlord's asssociation, my husband inclusive met last night. They are looking at the option of getting security guards.

EducationRe: Would You Leave Oou Law For Ui Law After Spending A Year ??? by ndidibabe(f): 9:40am On Mar 14, 2012
I did almost thesame thing 8 years ago. I was already in 100 level studying Physics and Electronics at UNAD(now EKSU), wrote another JAMB and left for Ife to study Computer Engr. Anyway, i left for another course. @OP, i advise you follow your dream. U.I degree is prestigious than Ago iwoye degree . I can't stand all this Ago Iwoye, Akungba, Ayungba, EKSU schools.
FamilyRe: Help! My Husband Wants Me To Change My Name From Ndidi To Sinmisola. by ndidibabe(op): 12:04am On Mar 13, 2012
Thanks to everyone that made meaningful contribution to this thread. I came home very late from work today and met my husband watching the newcastle vs arsenal match. The score was 1-1 as at that time but he was quite happy. He said his boys(arsenal players were doing well). I said to him ''Chukwu, have you eaten?'' but the look on his face was quite terrible. Obviously, he doesnt like the name . So what makes him feel i like Sinmisola?

FamilyHelp! My Husband Wants Me To Change My Name From Ndidi To Sinmisola. by ndidibabe(op): 10:46am On Mar 12, 2012
What is really wrong with my husband? I am Ibo and he is Yoruba. Before we got married, he talked so much about how beautiful (light skinned), intelligent, hardworking ibo ladies are. He also said an average Ibo lady knows how prepare good delicacies. He loves me and that was the reason i married him not minding our ethnic differences. After 14 months of marriage, i can say his love for me is still intact but the problem is that he is fond of calling me Sinmisola, a name i do not like. I asked him the meaning of the name and he said 'rest in wealth'. What sort of stupid name is that? I didn't marry him because i want rest in his wealth! Besides, it is not that he is wealthy, so why the name? Now, his parents too call me Sinmisola. He told me to do a change of name to Sinmisola + his surname. His Surname, Yes but why should i change my first name. Isn't he the yoruba man that love Ibo ladies so much to the extent of marrying one them? Why does he hate my Ibo name? I asked him why he wants my name changed and he said he just love it that way. I am not going to take this from him but i need mature people (married) to advice me on how to resolve this issue wisely.

Jobs/VacanciesRe: Pawa 774: Are They Real? by ndidibabe(f): 6:21pm On Mar 06, 2012
I just have to respond to this . Pawa777 or whatever is called is a complete fraud. My brother in-law who graduated from FUTA participated in the training which took place in Ondo town. They promised to conduct a test after the training and that successful candidates will be employed. To my surprise, while the training was going on in Ondo, i read a newspaper advert sponsored by Ondo State Govt on how the state govt through the fraudulent Techville has successfully trained and employed graduates. Mimiko was at the training venue, so they used his picture and other pictures at the venue for their advert. Imagine, they couldn't even wait for the conclusion of the training. All was a method to loot the state. Unknown to the trainees, Mimiko and techville used them to embezzle Ondo state fund. Only God knows how much Mimiko will say he spent on the training. Test were conducted after the training and nobody has been employed. At least, my brother in-law still has the numbers of most people that participated in the training so he can confirm. PAWA777 will tell us to ask Mimiko because he is one of their con men. Nonsense!
CareerWhich Profession Stands Out In Nigeria? by ndidibabe(op): 11:52am On Mar 01, 2012
1)Our Judiciary system is poo and that says a lot about the Law profession. A quick example is the Ibori case that we relied on the Uk to resolve. (2) The Police force is nonsense. That we can tell by boko haram saga, repeated cases of arm robbery and other vices (3)Engineering is flop. No wonder Dangote had to rely on foreign Engineers to build his plant. We cannot design nor construct. Nigerian Engineers are just needed in the oil companies for maintenance work. The 'real' guys are expartraites. What has our Electrical Engineers manufactured? How many machines has been constructed by our Mechanical Engineers? Our Indigineous Builders and civil Engineers have turned to killers by constructing sub-standard buildings that eventually collapse and kill. (4 ) Goodluck, our president was a University lecturer. That tells a  lot about the Education Sector. No wonder, people want to be trained abroad (5 ) Will you visit a Nigeria Hospital if you have the money to be flown abroad for a minor operation? Definitely N0! That is the state of Medicine and surgery in Nigeria. Most of  my Doctor friends have travelled out of the country for greener pasture because of unemplyoment. It is that serious. Medicine that used to be lucrative in those days, (6)Anybody with an IT certification now refers himself to an IT Professional. But really what can this guys do? Repair computers, lay cables, 'copy and paste programmers'. We rely on the Indians for our core IT projects.                                       Accounting might just stand out. I do not know much about them but i hardly see companies hire Accountants from other countries.
PoliticsIbori's Mug Shot Is A Big Dent To His Family. by ndidibabe(op): 10:42am On Feb 29, 2012
Alams, Dariye, Igbenedion, Ibru, Eras and co all have something in common with Ibori which is fraud but none of them suffered thesame fate with the latter. But who did the Ibori offend? The gods? I tried to google the name 'Ibori' this morning and i saw a couple of his mug shot! If i were to be Ndidi Ibori, a friend trying to check me in google will end up with some of Ibori's mug shot. What a blow  to the Ibori's Family!!!

Car TalkHave You Changed Your Gearbox Before? Please Tell Me Your Experience by ndidibabe(op): 8:23am On Feb 22, 2012
I have this 98 toyota corrola that i have been using for the last 4 yrs. It developed a transmission (jerking) problem last year but was repaired by a mechanic who claimed it was the valve body that was bad. After repair, it was okay and my husband had travelled from Lagos to Benin with the car without qualms. Five months after repair, it started with delaying enagement each time i want to move in the morning, like one second until i got stuck on the road one day. I had to tow the car home. My problem now is that i want to change the gear box because it is obvious that 'repair' will only last me for sometime but many people say that once you change the gear box, the transmission system can never be 'smooth' as before. Please how true is this. I love this car, as a lady because it is easy to maintain. Though, my husband said that i should sell it with the transmission fault that he will add 300k so that i can get the Tokunbo of same car but i think that is like a waste when i can replace the transmission with less than 80k. Please advise me, please!!!
RomanceMy Husband Reacts On A Birthday Greeting To My Ex by ndidibabe(op): 8:24am On Feb 18, 2012
I used to go out with a guy before i met husband whom i married just a year back. I left this guy, a nice guy, on religious ground. He is a muslim. I used to be a muslim but now a christian so we couldnt share a common ground because of my new faith. Before i married my husband, almost 4 years after i left him, he has pleaded on several occassions that i come back to him but it was impossible because of my religion. He was not ready to convert afterall. Since i stopped dating him, he has never missed the chance of sending a birthday greeting to me each year which i reciprocated on his birthday. Now i am married and today is his first birthday after my marriage. I woke up this morning beside my husband and after prayer, i picked my phone and told him i want to say happy birthday to him (my ex) but he thinks i am emotionally attached to him. He says ''how come i know today is his birthday? Is there an alarm/reminder somewhere? How come i know his number offhand when it isn't stored on my phone? Don't i know i am married?'' But really, have i done anything badhuh?

SportsAfcon 2o12- Are Nigerians Really Watching? by ndidibabe(op): 6:05am On Jan 27, 2012
Previous years, i saw people group up on the roadside watching the nations cup on a CD vendor's 14 inches tv hence creating awareness that there is a major competition going on. Of course , on getting home, one has
no option than to put his TV on to catch in the feel. This year competition has not gotten the glimpse of most nigerians so far. The comments on Nation's Cup topics placed on Nairaland's frontpage is quite few. I hardly hear people dicusss about it and most of our local stations do not show the matches. Could this be due to Nigeria's absence in the competition? Are you watching?

FamilyDoes Marriage Qualify You To Be Called A Man? by ndidibabe(op): 11:39am On Dec 10, 2011
These days, most 'married boys' see themselves as men. Does marriage really qualifies someone as a man? Does it has to do with age or maturity? Who really is a man? For me, there are so many married boys out there than men. Boys who can not take care of their family, who tell everyone how they make love with their wife, always quarelling with wifey, immature.
