Saraki has the right mix of World class and Local exposure to lead Nigeria to greatness

Studied in London
Worked in the private sector in Nigeria
Special assistant to the Presidency
2 term Governor - 8 years executive experience
2 term Senator including being Senate President - 8 years legislative experience including 4 years in legislative leadership

Has the right mix of experience and exposure to lead Nigeria to greatness and belong to the class of Nigerians who have no choice but to stand up for a united Nigeria. Has Fulani/Yoruba ancestry, he is a Muslim and married to one Christian wife. he is from North Central. He has that kind of mixed background that simply means he can only stand for equity and justice for all Nigerians.

This is what some don't like and hence they accuse him of being a thief in order to stop him from ushering in a truly progressive Nigeria that embraces modernity!

why does Tinubu call others treasury looters?

A man that has coveted the economy of Lagos and made the state to work for him is criticising others?

Politics / Re: Buhari Forecloses Former DSS Boss Daura’s Return by Ndonu101: 12:21pm On Aug 23, 2018
KingRagnar:
When Osinbajo fired him, he did it under PMB's direction, so telling PMB to reinstate Daura is like telling him to change his mind which is obviously not possible. PMB and Osinbajo have a relationship built on understanding. Best team to run for 2019 elections

Buhari gave the order to remove Saraki using DSS. Politics is complex my dear.

Daura had to go because the coup failed. It was Buhari-Oshiomole-Daura plan all along

It's clear now that Osinbajo did the firing but not as we were made to believe before.

of course Osibanjo did the firing. I don't think Osibanjo was carried along in the plan to use Daura to remove Saraki.

The same thing that happened to Daura also happened to Babachir Lawal. Remember the famour question "who is the Presidency?"

in both cases Osibanjo did the firing, and both are close allies of Buhari

The relationship between Buhari, Osibanjo and Tinubu is quite complex. Not as straightforward is it looks

Politics / Re: Does Tinubu Actually Believe He Or Any Other Yoruba Will Become President? by Ndonu101: 1:58am On Aug 21, 2018
One thing I do know is that power will remain in the North for a very long time

The South East does not have the vote to make anyone President but I am sure they can play a spoiler.

It is time the South East start playing the South West at their own game until there is some mutual respect. Whenever A South Westerner emerges Presidential candidate I think the South East should back a new Norther candidate from another party. Let power remain in the North forever!

Tinubu will rather Nigeria goes through another 4 years of deterioration just to achieve his ambition in 2023? Now that's very cold and calculated.

Saraki is ambitious and pursuing his interests but he seems to align his interest to the greater good.

There is no way another 4years of Buhari is in the interest of Nigeria. Buhari, is ill, clueless and incompetent!

Politics / Re: Saraki: Tinubu Will Support Buhari On Hospital Stretcher To Succeed Him In 2023 by Ndonu101: 10:57pm On Aug 20, 2018
It is really bad that any individual or region will wish another 4 years of Buhari on Nigeria just to win the Presidency in 2023

This is very cold and calculated and surely does not serve the greater good.

Saraki is ambitious and so is Tinubu. But the clear fact is Saraki is aligning his interest with that of the Nation.

Supporting Buhari for another 4years because of 2023 aspirations is very bad. I hope Nigeria is there in 2023

Politics / Re: Saraki’s Impeachment Can Crash Nigeria’s Democracy - Primate Ayodele by Ndonu101: 1:39pm On Aug 19, 2018
Of course impeachment of saraki with less than 73 will set a very dangerous precedent

what it will mean is that 2/3 of 1/3 can now impeach the President of the Senate and that means 24 Senators can impeach a Senate President in a 109 Senate. Given Nigeria's very tribal politics it also means the 14 Senators from NW can wake up one morning and team up with the 12 Senators from NE to get 26 Senators and the Senate President will be impeached.

Oshiomole should be careful. If you check the history of this country, all the bad habits and deviating from the rules usually start with Southerners and then the Northerners latch on such precedents and perpetrate it forever. Oshiomole may be close to power today but that may not be the case tomorrow. One thing however is constant. Oshiomole is an Ethnic minority and any impunity on the rule of law will come back to hunt Oshiomole's generation to come. This is Nigeria and we know how it works!

There is only 6 months to election the wise thing is to leave Saraki to finish his term and let peace reign. Saraki did not betray anybody. Since 1999 Nigeria has never had this type of slim majority in the Senate. If APC had 100 Senators Saraki will not be able to block anything. if he does not do the will of the APC he would have been impeached a long time ago. But the reality is the house is almost split right down in the middle hence why Saraki had to balance the interest of both parties.

Why does Tambuwal feel more qualified to be President than Saraki? The only reason Tambuwal considers himself a heavy weight is because he Tambuwal comes from Sokoto. If not for our tribal politics Saraki and Tambuwal are not even on the same level.

Saraki is a far better leader than Tambuwal.

Politics / Re: 2019: PDP And The Dilemma Of Picking Presidential Candidate by Ndonu101: 1:28am On Aug 18, 2018
There should be no dilemma. Set up a very rigorous process including live televised debate and direct primary and let them slug it out. Let the process throw up a candidate.

If you do horse trading behind the scene you will fail. Show the Nation you are willing to build a Nation where due process is the order of the day by organising a primary that follows due process.

IPOB need to stop this nonsense, please go and organise yourself and vote APGA or register a Political Party and join the political process like the SNP in Scotland does.

Through court action and political consciousness and engagement everything apart from outright disintegration of Nigeria can be achieved through politics.

There are enough laws within the Nigerian constitution that if implemented to the letter can change the lives of Igbos. APGA is not enjoying enough local support in order to hold the centre to account just like the Scottish National Party does for Scotland.

IPOB is a distraction because th same united Nations laws that guarantees your right to self determeniation also give nation states the right to protect their sovereignty. This contradiction is why Nations fight civil wars and is also th reason why No group has achieved secession through peaceful means. If IPOB does not have a nuclear BOMB or a standing Army that can defeat the Nigerian State then we are on a long thing. Please join APGA and the political process and make life better for your people through politics, canvassing your opinion through democratic means or better still register as a political party and show how you can govern differently compared to PDP/APC/APGA!

THIS MEANS THAT PDP IS STILL THE MINORITY IN THE SENATE. SARAKI SHOULD JUST RESIGN ASAP

Politics and diplomacy is too complicated for a lot of you to comprehend. Akpabio resigned as Minority Leader and Olujimi is simply taking over that role. This was the official status as at the day NASS went on recess.

If when they return from recess on Sept 25 and the headcount is done and PDP officially becomes Majority party then Biodun Olujimi automatically becomes Majority leader. There is a floor process for everything in the NASS which must be followed. Thats what a lot of you dont understand.
