Top Politicians Sent to Jail By President Buhari.

The present administration of President Muhammadu Buhari is head-on, on fighting corruption, as one of its core responsibilities.

Below are the list of top political office holders that are brought to justice:

1. Mukhtar Ramalan Yero a former governor of Kaduna State

Mukhtar Ramalan Yero, a former governor of Kaduna State was recently sent to prison. Within five years, Yero without contesting an election became a commissioner, deputy governor, and governor.

Yero, who rose from a finance director in Namadi Sambo’s firm (Nalado Nigeria Limited) to became commissioner for finance in 2007, deputy governor in 2010 and governor in December 2012 following the death of Patrick Ibrahim Yakowa in a helicopter crash, spent about a week at the Kaduna Convict Prison.

2. Jonah Jang former governor of Plateau State

Almost impossible to confirm Magu

US Senate will not confirm a candidate that FBI says lacks integrity so why should Nigerian Senate confirm a candidate that DSS says lacks integrity?

this was the moment NASS would have impeached Buhari

Saraki and Dogara blocked it. these guys have no plans to impeach Buhari eventhough Buhari has committed endless impeachable offence

$496m aircraft purchase without recourse to NASS. Buhari is very very corrupt! How can you spend $496m in the hope the NASS will approve it in retrospect? Anticipatory approval is an impeachable offence.

PDP needs to start exposing corruption in APC

We can not all thieves to continue to call others thieves and hoodwink Nigerians

Buhari is a Tyrant, Dictator and Jihadist. Moderate Nigeria must come together and send the Fascist back to Daura.

Anyone who doubts what Amaechi is saying should watch this video, Buhari did not at any point dispute the fact that he is a coupist who overthrew a democracy, instead he tried to justify it.

Bro in politics foresight is a very powerful weapon. All the permutations have to be on the table and make people realise that sacrifice has to be made indeed.

This is not foresight anything. This is self interest you are promoting

a lot of you don't discuss political issues in fair minded way

Obasanjo has emerged President under PDP, he is from the South West
Jonathan has emerged Vice President and President under PDP he is from the South South

and then you are telling South East to have some kind of foresight for 2023 so that South West that currently are not investing much in PDP at the moment produce the VP again? That's just plain dishonest my brother

If a Northern candidate with a South East VP is not good enough to defeat the failed Buhari Presidency in 2019 then I really don't see how a South East candidate can win any election in 2023.

PDP must find a way to align our National Interest with our regional interests and ensure it is fair to all. This is not the time for games!

What happened to the South East that has simply stood by PDP even during its darkest days?

If Saraki had any plans to impeach Buhari he would have done so when Buhari spent so much money to buy aircrafts in America without NASS approval

How did we get here

where a Politician making a political choice that is allowed in the constitution becomes a banana pill

sometimes when you hear Senator Adamu talk you will think he is the COAS. Just issuing threats left right center

There is nothing Senator Adamu or Buhari can do to Saraki.

The only thing Saraki holds that APC can lay claim to is Saraki's Senate seat from Kwara. That of the Senate Presidency has nothing to do with APC

Politics / Re: My Take On Defection by Ndonu101: 10:12am On Aug 04, 2018
This is not time for emotions

When the 9th NASS reconvenes after 2019 the law should be changed. If anybody quits the party on whose platform they got elected. They should lose that office with immediate effect and it should be up to INEC who on receipt of info of defection to decide if there is enough time for Bye-election to be conducted before the next general election.

If you are expelled however by the party chairman then it should be a different ball game.

The law as it is is very difficult to interprete. The definition of division will never ever be clear. Not even to the courts.

The court and the NASS leadership is almost as it is expected to be mind readers to discern which division is genuine and which is pre-mediated to circumvent the law. It is quite complex.
Politics / Re: Presidential Candidate: Nigerians’ll Help Us Choose Among Saraki, Tambuwal, Atik by Ndonu101: 9:58am On Aug 04, 2018
People need to stop under estimating Saraki

He is the most qualified amongst all the front line politicians

He has been a executive Governor for 8 years and Senator for 8 years including 4 years of Senate Presidency

Saraki was educated in London where he studied medicine and also practiced medicine.

Saraki came back to Nigeria and got involved in business and has experience from different sectors. Like all things he failed in some and succeeded in some.

He has the best experience amongst all the candidates. Let PDP organise 2 or 3 debates lets weed out the chaff from the serious candidates.
Politics / Re: Presidential Candidate: Nigerians’ll Help Us Choose Among Saraki, Tambuwal, Atik by Ndonu101: 9:39am On Aug 04, 2018
PDP should not play games. They should forget politics of my people pass your people. Lets have a Presidential debate and let the process select whoever.

Obasanjo defeated Tofa and Buhari they were both from the North West

Jonathan defeated Buhari once too.

Lets have 2 serious debates before the PDP primaries and the process will select a candidate for us. All this pretenders we will see those who can stand the rigours of governance and those who cant.

my vote goes to 1. Saraki and then second option 2. Atiku

For a start, your distribution of senators is wrong. Font rely on anything you see on-line. Your post credited 2 senators to APc in South East. Let me name the APc senators from this zone.
1 Benjamin uwajimogu .... IMO state
2. Hope uzodinma .... IMO state
3 Sunday ogbuoji ..... Ebonyi state
4... Andy uba .... Anambra State.
In 2019 South East will be a battle ground between APc and PDP.
IMO and Anambra States don't have PDP governors. Apc will survive there
APc will do well in Abia if they work with Apga plus the failed PDP gov in Abia.
APc will do well in ebonyi if the rumour of their governor romance with buhari is true.
APc will fail in Enugu due to ekweremadu factor however the immediate past governor is now in APc plus nnamani.
In the south south again your statistics us wrong
Rivers 2 APc senators
Edo. 2 APc senators
Delta 1 senator ( APc is getting stronger here, uduaghan, ogboru, uduegede, omo agege, that bunkery thief etc
Cross River 1 APc senator ( the governor will work for buhari)
Akwa ibom 1 APc senator pending akpabio's entrance.
APc will get 40 percent of votes cast in the south East and South South.

got the image from Channels TV

But inspite of the inaccuracy the distribution still tells the story

PDP should design a very rigorous processs of debates and transparent primary and let the process throw up the Presidential candidate

no matter who emerges

If they make this about vote buying and candidate inducement they can forget it

Politics / Senators And 2019 Electoral Map by Ndonu101: 12:43pm On Aug 03, 2018
The current distribution of Senators show that the true battle field in 2019 may be in the North East of the country.

APC will clearly lose more ground in the North Central because of the Farmer vs Herdsmen clashes

SS/SE are the natural firewall states for the PDP. PDP should do more work on Akpabio and Prof Ayade and stop them from decamping. They need to stay with their people

Any in-roads PDP make in NW they can appreciate especially Kano. Try to split the votes in this area using the combo of Shakarua/Kwakwanso/Tambuwal

In terms of the South West, that's natural APC land but PDP can battle in Lagos at Presidential level using the poor economy and threat to democracy

The battle for NE then makes you wonder if a PDP Presidential aspirant from this area is the key? Does this mean PDP's best bet of stopping Buhari is Atiku? or is there other ways PDP can sell a Northern candidate not from this zone to this zone? Lets say can A Saraki convince the North East?

in any case 2019 will be very interesting.

What exactly is 2/3 majority?
Is it
A ==> 2/3 of the senate house
or
B==> 2/3 of those present?
If B does dat mean a sitting of say 6 senators can impeach the senate president?

you need a certain number to form a quorum, your assignment is to go and find out what that number is

No Vice President Yemi Osibanjo in High level security meetings?

National Security Meetings need diverse Nigerians present at the meeting so that all points of view are represented. That way the best policies can be made!

If you have a bunch of guys who have only one experience and grew up from one end of the country then it is no wonder why killing of farmers by Fulani Herdsmen is normal until the whole country agree to give up their lands for Ranching.

The security policy of this Government looks like its been shaped by Miyetti Allah! This is because only people from one end of the country attend these meetings
