Jetleeee: Why are they arresting my people for development? What exactly have we done to deserve this? Why the marginalization? They better tread softly and not incur the wrath of Abiama
What they don't know is that no matter how much they try, they can't stop us from developing Cambodia. We're formidable
Like the great Chukwudi Amah said in his book "An Ibo that can't develop the whole world, is that one Ibo?"
Their economy will just crash like elloplane if they continue to arrest us
They should go ask Mr widodo of Indonesia how we transformed Indonesia from a third world country to what it is today
Do they know that the Russian army come to Nkpor to buy Humvees?
Do they know that countries like Malaysia and Thailand issue we the children of Abiama developers permit?
As for you Yorubas saying rubbish, you people are just jealous of the fact that you can't be like us
When we finally gain our independence, we will name our country "Developers republic" because we're whiter than white, whiter than pap.
May Abiama make everything easy for us ooh. Isee

Can you convince the government to give us this land in Kano free? Plus historically, every land that Fulanis have gone through anywhere in the world, they have always introduced themselves as guest just passing by, but they ALWAYS end up trying to take over the land either by subjugating the locals, and install themselves as their leaders, or by outright genocidal attack on those people. Why would any sane mind with a sense of history know these, and not see the inevitable consequence of your "cattle route" plan on another people's land and against their every possible will? Is there a curse on you people that ranching your cattle will kill you? Truth is, your people have learnt over the decades that herding cattle across vast areas of land is their most efficient way of spying other culture with the eventual goal of conquering them. God, why did you bring these poverty inducing people anywhere near us? According to the Land Use act, if you make your case to the Governor of Kano state, he may grant your request. As far as your uninformed pronouncements and generalizations regarding where "Fulanis have gone through anywhere in the world", I'm afraid you are on your own. |

igbodefender: Sir, There is a difference between taking land for construction of roads and taking land for trading reserves for Igbos or grazing reserves that will benefit only one ethnic group and look like Apartheid, Segregation and ethnic cleansing all rolled into one. Sir, I think you may be bit uninformed about what is being proposed and how it could be implemented. Given that, under Nigeria's Land Use Act, it is lawful for any Governor in respect of land, whether or not in an urban area, to grant statutory rights of occupancy to any person for all purposes including grazing. Now, upon the grant of a statutory right of occupancy under the provisions of the said Land Use act, all existing rights to the use and occupation of the land which is the subject of the statutory right of occupancy shall be extinguished. So you see, all the FG has to do is get buy-in from Governors. As things stand most Governors are on board. The main reason for their cooperation is that, conflicts between herdsmen and farmers which typically result to unnecessary death will drastically reduce in their states. Additionally, farmers whose land may be along the paths of the reserves, will freely offer their land if adequately compensated. Sir, for all practical purposes, the Cattle Routes affair, is a done deal. Most of the noise makers actually do not own a square foot of land along the proposed route. By the way, let's not forget that the International Criminal Court routinely jails political leaders for the crime of ethnic cleaning (trying to kill or drive an ethnic group from their ethnic lands in such a way that it becomes the land of another ethnic group. Go and ask the late President Slobodan Milosevic,Mladic and Karazdic of Serbia after they tried to cleanse Bosnian Muslims from parts of their homeland in Bosnia Herzegovina).
Igbo, Yoruba and Niger Delta lawyers, social media and human rights activists (home and abroad) will never allow this injustice to happen because though the South can quarrel among themselves but when it comes to this issue, you know we stand together.
1000 Martin Luther Kings will emerge to agitate against this. Lawyers will file suits in every court from the High Courts to the Supreme Court to the International Criminal Court.
It took the Afro Americans a few peace protests and business-affecting boycotts to defeat this kind of injustice. How can you tell indigenes you will take their land and they will not be allowed to come into it? Is that not wickedness against your fellow countrymen. What did they ever do to you to deserve such? What did their generations yet unborn do that you plan to take what belongs to them by posterity?
What did Oduduwa, Eri, Edo Princess Emotan and other Southern ancestors do that you plan such evil on their children? The above is nothing but a red herring - no bearing whatsoever to the issue at hand. |

ABUJA, Nigeria – Nigerian security officials said Wednesday they have thwarted plans by Islamic State group-linked Boko Haram members to attack the embassies of the United States and Britain.
A statement by the Department of State Services said that late last month it broke up a ring that had "perfected plans to attack" the embassies along with "other Western interests" in Nigeria's capital, Abuja.
The statement said five suspects who had been based in Benue state and the Federal Capital Territory were arrested. It gave no further details, and officials with the department could not immediately be reached.
The U.S. embassy did not immediately respond to a request for comment. The State Department on April 5 issued an updated travel warning for Nigeria, warning that Boko Haram has targeted government installations and other venues in the past in the Federal Capital Territory and elsewhere.
Nigeria's president late last year declared the Boko Haram insurgency "crushed," but its fighters continue to threaten the vast region around Lake Chad in defiance of a multinational force. It has increasingly used children, especially girls, as suicide bombers.
Boko Haram's seven-year Islamic uprising has killed more than 20,000 people and driven 2.6 million from their homes, with millions facing starvation

Commercial cattle ranching remains the only answer. Cattle business is not politics and should not be politicized. If people believe that tithing as mentioned in the OP's quotes is equivalent to foolishly making corrupt pastor's rich, then those people are worse than fools.
If Christians follow Jesus, I'd appreciate a direct quote from Jesus where he preached that people should tithe.
Christians should ask themselves why their pastor's hardly spend much time on what Jesus said were the 2 greatest commandments and vigorously preach about tithing.
If you claim to be a Christian and do not know what those 2 greatest commandments are but you know about tithing, then you should do some introspection.
I submit that you are better off giving alms, in an act of love to your needy neighbor than paying tithes. |

Foreign Affairs › Trump's Immigration Ban: Several Nigerians Deny Entry To US by nduchucks(op): 1:30am On Mar 07, 2017 |
Several Nigerians have been denied entry into the United States in the past two months following President Donald Trump’s executive order banning immigration from certain Muslim- majority countries.
Their visas, it was learnt, were cancelled when they landed in the US and they were put on return flights.
Following this development the Presidency on Monday warned Nigerians not to travel to the US amid ongoing uncertainty over President Donald Trump’s executive order banning immigration from certain Muslim-majority countries.
Nigeria is not on the list of six countries affected by Mr Trump’s so-called travel ban executive order, but the Special Assistant to the President on Foreign Affairs and the Diaspora said in a statement that several Nigerians with valid visas have been refused entry to the US.
Abike Dabiri-Erewa said their visas were cancelled when they landed in the US and they were put on return flights. She said: “Nigerians who have no compelling or urgent reason to travel to the US to postpone their travel plans until the new administration’s policy on immigration is clear.”
Earlier in February the US State Department warned US citizens to avoid travelling to Nigeria due to violence from extremist group Boko Haram, and said the security situation in northeast Nigeria remained “fluid and unpredictable”.
The advisories come several weeks after Mr Trump’s travel ban, affecting seven Muslim-majority countries, was knocked down by a federal court in Washington state. The President’s emergency appeal via the Justice Department was denied.
Instead, the President said they would work with the federal judge’s provisions to craft a new ban which leaves out Iraq, one of the seven countries.
The initial ban was signed in late January and prompted massive protests around the US.
The President said the order as signed to protect the country against terrorism, yet no individual from those countries had killed a single American on US soil in a terrorist attack since 2001.
Nearly all travellers were banned from coming to the US for 90 days, and refugees were suspended for 120 days. Syrian refugees were suspended indefinitely.
The President’s chief adviser, Steve Bannon, reportedly crafted the ban to ensnare green card holders and dual national citizens.
House Speaker Paul Ryan and Department of Homeland Security chief John Kelly both said the confusion at the roll-out of the ban was “regrettable” but they both publicly supported the ban to defend the country.
