Trump's executive order remains intact. This ruling simply injects order into a chaotic beginning of the implementation of the executive order.
It is only fair to allow people who have already been vetted and have arrived US or in transit, to enter the country without being treated as criminals.
The courts cannot overturn Trump's executive order. |
Foreign Affairs › Trump Bans Green Card Holders From Some Muslim Countries From Re-entering US by nduchucks(op): 8:06pm On Jan 28, 2017 |
People holding so-called green cards, making them legal permanent U.S. residents, are included in President Donald Trump's executive action temporarily barring people from seven Muslim-majority countries from entering the United States, a Department of Homeland security spokeswoman said on Saturday.
"It will bar green card holders," Gillian Christensen, acting Department of Homeland Security spokeswoman, said in an email.
Source Trump signed an executive order yesterday which bans newcomers from Iran, Iraq, Syria, Libya, Somalia, Sudan and Yemen from entering the US. The ban has now been extended to green card holders who travel out of the USA. Thank goodness he did not include Nigeria in the list of countries affected. Na wa o |

I did not realize that Zukerburg's grand parents were convicted criminals From what I've read and heard, Trump plans to deport convicted criminals who have been released from prison but whose countries of origin have hitherto refused to accept them as deportees. As a practical matter, it is really impossible to carry out the kind of deportation Zukerburg is worried about. Zukerburg is well-advised to focus on cleaning up his tacit support of fake news emanating from facebook. |

Igboid: So Nduchucks is still alive? Old soldier never die.
On the map: Ndiigbo will not accept any arrangement that will politically keep Delta North isolated from the SE again. So, I'd suggest you take back the Tiv/Idoma into Central, leave Delta North in South East , Igbo parts of Benue, Edo, carved into SE too. Carve out The Isoko/Urhobos/Ijaws/Edos out of SE, they can either stand on their own or merged with SW I wouldn't mind having the Akwa-Cross in SE, if they wish to join us, after all, the old Cross River state was once called SE state, and geographically speaking,,Akwa-Cross area is more SEastern than Igboland.
Of course, all these are temporary measures, as self determination remains the ultimate goal for Ndiigbo. Must you people introduce tribalism into every thing? By the way, who you be sef. E be like say you sefi be old coot. |

Adminisher: This is a clueless map. You want to subjugate many ethnic nationalities under their ancient enemies. Nigerians with low IQ don't still understand that for the same reason unity in Nigeria is not easy so also is unity within the so called regions. Dividing Nigeria is suicide. It will be worse than Yugoslavia and has much as 15 million people might die Oga, a high IQ is not necessary to see that the OP did not call for dividing or breaking up Nigeria. Please reread. |

PapaBrowne: Tribalistic racism?? Thats a new phrase.
The last I checked, Edo State is not a tribe nor is it a race. It is a geographical entity.
You can add Geographical Statism to you list of new phrases. What's your reason, devoid of tribalistic pollution, for excluding Edo from this theoretical SW region? |

https://wikitravel.org/upload/shared/e/e8/Nigeria_Regions_map.pngI kind of like the map and will welcome the replacement of states with regions as depicted on the map, as long as the regions can have their own constitution, police force, 100% resource control within the sovereign Great Nigeria. An important caveat would be to rename the Bight of Biafra. Since Biafra is basically non-existent (for now), the bight should be named Bight of Calabar |

Why is the government afraid to try and convict Kanu? The claim may be that they want to spare his people the agony of watching him paying for his crimes with his life since the sentence for the crimes he is accused of is the capital punishment.
Indeed, the authorities may be acting in a compassionate manner by keeping him in prison with the aim of releasing him in 2019, instead of allowing him to be sentenced to death. |

Politics › Once Trump Is Your President, You’ll Wish You’d Been Friendlier To Me: Mugabe by nduchucks(op): 4:49pm On Nov 20, 2016 |
Zimbabwean president Robert Mugabe wants to return to the United States’ diplomatic fold after years of tense relations, and his administration is confident that president-elect Donald Trump will welcome him back.
Mugabe, 92, has been in power for 36 years, presiding over Zimbabwe’s slow descent from one of Africa’s most productive post-independence economies—know at one point as the continent’s “breadbasket“—into an economic basket case besieged with angry protests. The US has imposed targeted sanctions against the Zimbabwean government since 2001, following a political and economic crisis that saw violent crackdowns by Mugabe and his supporters on opposition politicians and activists. Still, the superpower has continued to provide aid assistance to the impoverished southern African nation, investing nearly $100 million annually in health programs and other initiatives through USAID.
Mugabe’s government is looking forward to Trump’s inauguration next January as an opportunity to restore relations between Harare and Washington, Chris Mushowe, the country’s information, media and broadcasting services minister, told The Herald, a state-run, pro-Mugabe newspaper, last week.
“As a government, we were quite happy listening to Mr. Trump’s acceptance speech,” Mushowe said, welcoming what he saw as Trump’s pledge to work with every nation willing to cooperate with his administration. “Zimbabwe has never had any quarrel with America and does not need to have any quarrel with America.”
Mugabe to lawmakers: ‘Once Trump is your president, you’ll wish you’d been friendlier to me’
