Politics › Re: Grazing Bill: Ekiti State To Map Out Lands In All Local Government For Grazing by nduchucks: 5:01pm On Sep 03, 2016
The Governor shall by an order designate land in each of 16 local government areas in the state in respect of which cattle or ruminants may be permitted to graze
Fayose is not 100% senseless afterall.

One good turn deserves another, Fayose repays good for good; train routes through Ekiti reciprocated by legislating a sensible option of providing designated grazing areas in Ekiti is indeed commendable and will completely eliminate unnecessary deaths.

We must find a way to reduce the herdsmen/farmer conflicts and the resulting killing of innocent people throughout this great country.

O tun ti de abi? Never begin rejoicesmiley

My opinion hasn't changed, I still want cows confined in enclosures, moving around with weapons or not isn't my reason, it's archaic, the world has moved beyond this mode of husbandry, encourage your peeps to embrace modernity, Shebi dem don dey wear shoe, they should complete the process. grin
I don't particularly disagree with all you've written up there. While we seek modernization, we cannot ignore the fact that, this modernization amounts to social engineering when imposed on herdsmen. We as educated folks must recognize that social engineering takes decades or generations to institute successfully.

In the meantime, bold steps must be taken for the sake of peace.

By the way, herdsmen have been wearing shoes made from hides long before you people met Oyibo folks. smiley

Fayose is all fluff no stuff, he grandstands even with no legal leg to stand on... Even if someone does , the constitution of Nigeria trumps any state law which he is only pushing to bait the Fulani man in power & Fayose knows it but is banking on the fact that majority of his followers are not very intelligent so won't delve deep.

The constitution gives EVERYONE unfettered access to any part of the country, it's not right but it's the LAW..
I wholeheartedly agree with this frank and intelligent post. We all need to be part of the solution unlike Fayose, who has become part of the problem.

OP is very satisfied with the government acquiring land across the length and breath of Nigeria to build roads and highways. To the OP that is not land grabbing because he benefits from the arrangement.

He is now opposed to government acquisition of land to create the so-called grazing corridor because he is not a herdsman, although he eats their meat and dairy products. What a hypocrite!

The OP's proposed solution is bereft of common sense and dumb.

Please stop acting like a dummy because I don't think you are one. The article clearly states that Joachim's action is punishable under Section 249 (d) of Criminal Law of Ogun State, Nigeria, 2016. You are now asking me to quote the section of the law Joachim allegedly broke.

Well, I have one question for you: Is your father a graduate, and are you one? The answer to this question should reveal to us whether your silly post was done "tongue-in-cheek"

If I were to call you an untrained goat, I'd be in violation of NL rules, so I will restrain myself this time, but I caution you to watch your words.
Pets › Re: Joachim Iroko Remanded In Prison For Naming His Dog Buhari by nduchucks: 9:16am On Aug 23, 2016
Naming your pet Buhari is not and should never be a crime, but writing Buhari, on a dog and parading the dog in the Hausa section of any market thereby potentially inciting violence and causing breach of peace is indeed a crime.

Freedom of speech and expression does not protect an irresponsible person from going into a packed theatre and screaming fire, when such an action could cause a stampede and potentially result to deaths of unsuspecting people.

These fools should learn how to express their opposition in civilized manners. 6 months in jail should teach him a lesson. embarassed

The hypocrisy of Africans is over the top. Just a few years ago, our women did not cover up their God given beauties. Breasts were exposed for the admiration of natural beauty.

As soon as you people started copying Oyibo people you became perverts and then call each other perverts. You will even try to stop a woman who is breast feeding in public huh

Nigerians who are able to vote in the US elections should not vote for Hillary Clinton.

The Clintons through their Clinton foundation and Bill Clinton, came to Nigeria several times and received over $1.4 million for a few speeches without donating 1 kobo of that to a Nigerian charity. They enabled the corrupt thieves who looted our treasuries dry during GEJ's regime.

Frankly Hillary belongs in jail.

Has is not been established that some of them kill and maim in retaliation for some slights, real or perceived?
You have to admit that the phrase "some of them" you used above is much better. It is the kind of qualification I was suggesting. Merely raining curses at herdsmen without making it clear that you are referring to some and not all of them, smacks of pure hatred and racism.

You are better than such hate filled rhetoric.

Haba Madam, how can you paint these herdsmen with the same broad brush. I submit to you that the vast majority of herdsmen are law abiding, hard working people. Please tone down the rhetoric lest you breed more hatred and racism.

Wailing wailers have added lying to their repertoire of nonsensical activities.

They say the handbag in the pic below is over $100,000. While there exists Hermès Crocodile bags which cost that much. The one Aisha is carrying is not one of them:

www.nairaland.com/attachments/4077161_aisha1_jpeg7b8a869bf1474a3a4f585025e97bad9e

This is the one Aisha is carrying, wailers should please take a close look at both of them and weep some more:

www.nairaland.com/attachments/4077162_aisha2_jpegbafd25b2e7da42c1bd62d13e66c79ceb

The one Aisha was carrying costs 750% less than the purported costs published by the fake journalists. Aisha's bag was a gift to her, nonetheless.

Here comes the bad news:

The question has stumped scientists since the Sars virus first emerged in China and spread around the world: where did it come from?
Now, researchers in Hong Kong have identified the culprit - the masked palm Civet!!

Religious intolerance and extremism is what is responsible for the murders being committed by Boko Haram, ISIS, and other fanatical groups today, and responsible for those committed by the Crusaders of old.

These male chauvinists parading themselves as religious, while requiring their women to cover their bodies from head to toe only to leave their eyes uncovered, should try to wear similar attires and see how far. embarassed

The first lady was decently attired, hair covered and with no exposed breast or thighs. The religious fanatics can go and hug a transformer. Strict interpretation of the Koran or the Bible is senseless.

These so-called sharia loving folks should go and demand that their leaders be subjected to strict sharia law - they will soon discover than every single one of those leaders will be stoned to death or worse.

The funny thing is that these critics have no idea what Sharia truly means.
