If it is you that has interest in importation, with all the infrastructure, eg tank farms etc, will you alow dangote refinary to work? What will happen to the investment in Malta when dangote floods the local market with petrol? Don't you realize that local refining be it pH, kad, warri, dangote cannot be allowed to work as they will be spoiler for billions being made daily?

Yesterday I bought fuel at 950 per liter, I also went to buy a tiny nasal decongestant I usually buy for 1500, guess how much now? 9800!, I had to go back without buying. Just 1 BP drug containing 28 tablets is now 35k up from 8k. 9k on 5 packs of bottle water every 3 days, 1 tooth paste I use to buy 900 is now 4900!. Electricity nko, 5k daily with management, not to talk of feeding for family, school fees nko, clothing etc
It is just by grace millions of naija folks are surviving, people were warned, but for petty reason them no hear.

Even if they make it 10k per liter (we are heading there), naira will only devalue more, and in 6 months they will be telling you the same story that subsidy is being paid, that landing cost is 15k. Is it that these people are so dense or incompetent to realize this?
Anyway when you have a bunch of rulers that have never had a real job but made wealth without enterprise, riches through government patronage, this is what you get.

Nonsense talk. So, he should continue flying a defective jet? That was how the VP of Malawi was managing a faulty jet which led to his untimely death. I will consider it an offence,if he had bought more than one jet. But buying a functional presidential jet in my own opinion is not bad considering the fact that the one being used at the moment is not totally okay.

What jet is defective? Seems you do not know about aircrafts or how they operate. They are not cars or bikes that breakdown or spoil in the general term. Once am aircraft does it's regular checks and maintainance, it can function perfectly for many decades. The only factor will be if their interiors, avionics, etc need upgrade or if they are economical to operate in light of more morden designs eg fuel consumption. Those are more related to commercial airlines moreso when they have to compete for ticket prices.
The Nigerian Bbj aircraft they said was faulty and old was delivered 2005 making it 19 years. Oga in the aviation industry, that is not an old aircraft. Not also, it is a presidential jet not flown daily unlike a commercial one that could do 10+ landings daily. So a 19 year old PJ aircraft is basically new.
Are you aware those air peace b777 used to fly Nigerians to UK are 23-25 years old? Plane carrying 400 passengers?.
Do you know South Africa, a richer country still uses the same Bbj737 presidential jet our own government sad was old and faulty. Infact that of SA was delivered 2001 making it 5 years older than our "faulty" one.
