Wickedfact:
And him papa dey languish in penury.
Na so..
It is always mothers that will enjoy the kids, all the sacrifices made by the fathers is hardly remembered.
Men need to change so many things, one mistake men make is to send payments to wife to make for Eg school fees, at the end of the day the child grows with the thoughts that it is their mother that ran their school fees, pocket money etc. Omo, be the one giving your kids money from your pocket. One of my uncles, a Indian that lived in naija, raised all his kids, gave them the best, today the man is in India abandoned by those same kids to die. They only take care of their mother, send money to her or fly her to US and Canada where one is a medical doctor and the other a PhD level engineer. I found out when one of my siblings had to send $1k to the man for his upkeep.
Men plan for your future, so if kids forget you, you can take care of yourself.

Travel › Re: Nigeria’s Airports Still Offline Despite N800m Budget, Free MTN Wifi Service by nedekid:
laivwire:
Imagine landing in a country where your sim isn't registered and you can't even connect with the people who are supposed to pick you up. Many times I have had to beg and borrow a strangers phone just to connect with others in the airport awaiting my arrival.

The moment you land in Nigeria, you get a feeling of the hardship once they open the doors of that plane. From the heat to the dysfunctional carousel to the "wetin you bring come" crew despite billions going down yearly. May God help us

But to be fair, some personnel have really improved their professionalism especially customs and when departing.
There is huge difference, once you come out of the aircraft the ac in the jet bridge his you, it works well. The immigration counter aka begging spot no longer exist for Nigerians, instead you place your passport on a device which scans and then opens a passage for you, ie no longer any need for stamping passports which gives the opportunity for "what do you have for me" to be asked. From there you go pick your baggage, the conveyor belt works, your bag comes out. The only problem is if it passes you, some mischievous guys offload it on the ground at the other end, so the bag does not come round again.
Now, after getting your bags this is where you face the wahala. There are 2 exits side by side, one if you have items to declare, the second if you have nothing. Ie the customs area. Now since they have removed food from the mouth of those vultures, this is where they all gang up, many of them. You want to pass the normal nothing to declear, instead they block that exit and direct you to the "something to declear" exit where you then have lots of scruffy, hungry, desperate for money looking officers standing around tables, excitedly telling you to bring your bags and open them. They will ask you which country you are comming from, once you say places like UK, France etc they know you are bad market and tell you to go, but unna you tell them you are comming from eg China, omo, you are on your own ohh, you will see the excitement in their eyes, ie food don land, they consider you a trader with goods and so they can bill or extort you.
All in all, that festus guy has done wonders in that airport so far. As per the WiFi, I read of it and saw the signal but did not bother connecting as I had data mtn data.

Babysho, the elevated heart rate when you wake at 2-3am is worth paying attention to. That timing is significant — cortisol (your body's stress hormone) naturally peaks around 3-4am, and if your stress levels are already high, it can cause premature waking and make it impossible to go back to sleep.

A few things that may actually help that you might not have tried yet:

1. Magnesium glycinate — not regular magnesium oxide, specifically the glycinate form. 300mg about an hour before bed. It's one of the most underrated sleep supplements and is very safe. Many people notice a difference within a week.

2. Fixed wake time — no exceptions — Pick a time (say 6am) and wake at that exact time every day, even weekends, even if you slept badly. This is the most powerful thing you can do to reset your circadian rhythm. It builds sleep pressure that forces your brain to sleep properly.

3. Check your caffeine timing — Caffeine has a 6-hour half-life. A coffee or malt at 2pm still has about 50% of its caffeine in your system at 8pm. Even if you don't feel wired, it disrupts deep sleep stages.

4. Stop eating 3 hours before bed — Late meals spike insulin and keep your body in an active metabolic state when it should be winding down.

5. Get tested for sleep apnea — Waking suddenly with high heart rate at 2-3am and being unable to return to sleep is a classic presentation of sleep apnea or upper airway resistance syndrome. Has a doctor specifically suggested a sleep study? If not, push for one.

The sleep medications alone won't fix it if the root cause is cortisol dysregulation, nutrient deficiency, or a breathing issue during sleep. Hope you find relief soon.
Very technical insight.
In my view the symptoms express by the Op is a general one, quite common among Nigerians, well atleast me. Bros I no de sleep ie the conventional time. I practically have to use my phone to enable me sleep, I mean Eg watch YouTube till I pass out, and guess what, I will be up within an hour. Infact when I passed out my Samsung fold phone fell of my hand a inner screen got damaged as it fell flat in the floor, I woke you to get the phone to use to try and sleep again but found it face flat on the floor.
I think it is stress, too much thinking caused by the current economic situation, some poeplle cannot handle the pressure as effectively as others. And yes I also have palpitations.

As if the airforce will utilise them. The ones they got already how many times have they been used?
Thank you, that is the point.
Remember the mercenaries lead by Eeben Barlow? One of the flaws he said the airforce had was that they could not operate in night time or poor weather which gave the terrorist leway to operate. He said they had to bring in pilots to operate those aircraft to put the insurgents at night ie they are attacked by day, at night when they try to rest they are attacked. One of the tactics that gave them sucess was their offensive capability assisted by air power Eg after surveillance, the offensive team attacks insurgents, when survivors are escaping, strike troops are airlifted by helicopters to the predicted escape route to lay ambush and liquidate them. At night when they try to get some rest, that is even the easiest time to identify and attack them as their thermal signature will be very visible.
When the aircraft arrive we want to see their capabilities been used at night.

Nigerians are just insecure people. I mean, many of them are insecure, both the rich and the poor. The rich think if they can show off, they are better higher than others. The poor think if they can be humble or religious, they are better than others. After all, the rich will not go to heaven before the needle in a haystack or that thing they tell them.

What is the essence of this? Each time, Nigerians push the bar to oppress each other and play hunger games.

I can send my kids to private school.
I can send my kids to private tutors.
I can send my kids to holidays abroad.
I can send my kids to prom.
I can buy my kids a car for their 16 birthday.
I can order my kids from IVF store.
I can make my kids speak Queen's English but not my own language 🤡
Rich people, poor thinking. It's all signaling.
When it reaches your turn don't do it, send your kids to public schools, send them on holiday to Ibadan zoo when their mates are going to Disneyland, don't buy them cars when they turn 16 rather give them transport money to enter molue, lol
Everyone is entitled to his style.

What is the source of the money?

Hightablevoice2:
1. Engine oil table set up with Petrol Bottle for hikes and Keke drivers. Not a fancy thing to do but still makes a decent killing and can scale up easily. ENTRY Capital 300-400K. Daily Take home Profit, 3-7k. Besides sales. if he wants stationary. Mostly around major bus stops but definitely not main roads. To stay away unforseen circumstances.

2. Diesel supplier to hotels and hospitals. He can start with 100-150ltrs, sign up a bike guy as constant transport until he will be able to get his own.. although he will need a lot of leg works to get clients. 4-5 clients is enough per week. Entry capital also around 300k-400k. Weekly take home Profit 10k-20k

3. Cooking Gas small set up.. If he is close to any accessible estate, he doesn't need to rent a shop at that. Just an umbrella and sign post is enough to start with. Entry level capital without shop is 200k-300k. But client can be limited sometimes.. however recognition is the key. Once he is recognized. To scale higher within a year will be much faster.

4. Bike and Keke Part Scraps. I don't know much about it but I have heard somethings about it. Usually involves buying accident or damaged machines, pieces it into scraps and sell whatever it is still useful from it.. Entry level could be the entire budget though but worth looking into.

5. Phone Accessories Needs a small kiosk.

6. Provision supply to mini stores. Source them inside market, look for inside street small small shops, supply them one or two items. Biscuits, drinks, detergent soaps, noodles, spags, most things that move faster away from the counters. Will need transportation but can always negotiate with a driver until he can get his own personally. Entry fee 400k-500k

7. EGG DISTRIBUTOR. 5 Crates per clients, needs at least 10-20 clients before he can start earning but once it's starts it doesn't stop. Because it opens other accessible doors.

As someone who seems to have manage a hotel before most definitely he may not be cut out for some hustles that are a bit more rugged.. if he can supply or distribute what moves faster on the shelf without any prejudice attached.. he can build slowly into it.
At the end what matters is the mindset. It's not the business per say but the mindset attached with it. Some people sell only Sand and have mansions, while some people have filling stations and are drowning in debts.
Bros have you done any of these "business" you stated or you just figured them out of your head, as in motivational speaker stuff.
Lol, that was how some guy few years ago was always on tv doing advert for his seminar on 1000 businesses you can do with no capital. He use to charge ohh, people will pay and go, he collects their money, gives them motivational talk of how you can turn to dangote by starting small selling eg exporting kolanut, the gives them books he has written. At the end of the day na only him de make money from seminar. Lol
