What crime can be greater than that? But he's your saint grin
Very daft kindergarten level post not worthy of response.

I don't even care about SA Sotho ladies, it's always those ones from Lesotho that are giving me sleepless nights whenever I think about them... Those ladies are beautiful...🤦🤦🤦... We recently moved to a predominantly Basotho territory and now I can't even differentiate between who's a South African Sotho and who's from Lesotho, only they can differentiate each other...😭😭😭

They were not concerned of losses when naira was suddenly floated and devalued, but they have now shown remorse and now more caring when the naira is appreciating and don't want people to make loss.

I don't understand Sowore's point here. What did the minister do ? The minister is a staff of the country and has security detail attached to him to deal with unexpected scenarios like this and they did what they were supposed to do. So why was Sowore trying to use the incident to chase clout ? Is he now a content creator ? He called the Minister's attention, the man humbly answered him and came back to him, an action he wasn't obligated to do considering what had just happened. And how did Sowore repay the kind gesture is to start wagging his finger in the man's face, and when the aides caution him, he had the effrontery to shout at them to not talk to him anyhow, when he himself was talking to the minister, who is his senior in ALL ramifications of life anyhow. Rubbish
Oga the earlier you realize a minister is a public servant accountable to you, to serve you the better. If the minister is senior in all ramifications, then that is his business, he is too big to serve and should go live on the moon for all I care, once you chose to be of service, then you should keep your tail between your legs.

The country will change for the better if that happens. The woman has oyinbo blood, the more lighter the skin it seems the more the abilities some people have argued. Trump said show me one black country that is doing well, famously he said all are hell holes! We were agree, but na lie? Trump again said show me one thing they have every built or discovered, ie they build nothing, Omo, no be true be that? Look at Morocco, Egypt, Algeria all in Africa, then look at Nigeria, Niger, etc. Those ones have lighter skin, compare their cities, their economy and country to ours where we are pure black. Ghana sef if not for rawling who had oyinbo blood where will that country be now? South Africa is it not because oyinbo people built the place and are still there? Even Benin, Togo and the rest would have been worse if not for whites living there.
Abeg natasha will change Nigeria lol.
Let me ask you guys a question, if you have two people you wish to buy a used car from, one is halfcast and the other black, who will you rather buy from assuming you have not seen the vehicles?

Bros and people can have the guts to suggest naira should be 1k, can you imagine? Few years ago during buharis time at that shoprite in maryland, a Honda accord was displayed in the lobby for 11m, brand new not tokunbo, I remember complaining to madam say see how much this car that was just 6-7m is now 11m, Bros I could afford to buy that car even though I complained. Today I am not sure you can buy that same car with less than 100m! Who can afford 100m? Which worker? Today you hear 400m even 900m for a high end car. OK cheap one for us struggling people nko, BYD released one of the cheapest evs the dolphin or so, $8k in china, people around they world are enjoying it, next thing CFAO marketing staff contacted me to check their cars out, I was excited, Omo when I hear price, my blokos fall! The cheapest car na 37m! I hear it cost more now.

Okay let's begin.

Let's start with a common export crop cocoa.
The cost of 1 ton of cocoa export from Nigeria to the US is around $3,078.48 as of February 24, 2026. However, prices can fluctuate due to market conditions. In 2024, Nigeria exported $39.66 million worth of cocoa and cocoa preparations to the US.

*Recent Export Prices:*

- _Cocoa Beans (Whole or Broken):_ $22.08 million (2024)
- _Cocoa Paste:_ $3.99 million (2024)
- _Cocoa Butter, Fat and Oil:_ $456.83K (2024)
The above revenue was based on the average of N1400 to $1 now assuming the farmer produced 1 ton at the exchange rate of let's say N900 to $1 his revenue will plumete to a lower amount. The implication is that he earns less when the naira is strong against the dollar.
I believe you have gotten a little idea why a very strong naira will not favour production optimisation in a country.
Hmm, so you say if he produces exports 1ton costing $1000 per ton @N1400 to $1 his earns N1.4m.
If he exports the same 1ton at N900 to $1 he makes N900k.
Is this the basis on which you say naira should remain at 1k so the Eg farmer can earn more money? Oga respectfully this is one of the most messed up analogy I have ever heard! What makes you think the farmer is better off with the "extra" money when it is inflationary? Are you saying if naira appreciates so much it becomes N100 to $1 that the cocoa farmer is going to be devastated with a huge loss, abi wount the prices of other goods in Nigeria reduce drastically to reflect the appreciation and thus increase of the purchasing power of Nigerians? What is the benefit of the farmer earning more with a depreciated currency without the ability to purchase machinery and parts?
Where I know keeping your currency low to make exports cheaper is in countries who are manufacturing powerhouses Eg China that wants to keep their exports highly attractive due to low prices, not like Nigeria that exports but not in that level more like an import economy.
Abi maybe government should make naira 2k to 1 $ so that the cocoa farmer can get 2m from one ton and then other Nigerians cannot afford what their peers around the world easily can?
When the cocoa farmer earns more naira but there is inflation, how does he spend the money when everything around him is expensive?
See in one of my line of business, almost all the people that own similar machines within 1 year an electronic piece of that unit breaks down, a little item you may call the brain box, once it does that machine is abandoned because it cannot be fixed in nigeria, you either buy a new one from the manufacturer in thousands of dollars or you get a company in Portugal or UK to rebuild it, Oga you will see equipment worth millions abandoned and rotting away, why? The money they earn from that equipment seems much locally but when you convert it to dollars it is little and hence cannot maintain the equipment.
2015 each use of the equipment earned N60k or $400, today that 60k will be $42.
Today we charge 250k (people cannot afford more) and that gives $178, less than half of what we earned 10 years ago, meanwhile the machine, it's parts etc is even more expensive to get and maintain than 2015, even the import duty is higher.
As per my analogy using a corolla, at the N1k to $1 less than 1% of Nigerians legitimately working will be able to afford it, something kids within their first year of work can buy in other places, except you are a politician stealing money, a trader, or those forex traders doing abrakadabra, or a sabinus making money from social media, or a money na watarr "citiboy" aka people without verifiable sources of income, dodgy, fake certificate, credit card expert, white power dealer etc no way you can afford a $28k car at your proposed N1000 to $1 ie 60m naira Toyota corolla.

Business › Re: Naira Weakens To N1,359/$ After CBN Cuts Rate At 304th MPC Meeting by nedekid: 4:48pm On Feb 25
saintopus:
The trend is okay, the production sector needs to be encouraged. This is possible if the naira could be stabilised. The naira being too strong will harm local production but encouraged importation.
For a country that needs production and manufacturing, the naira standing within the range of N1000 to the dollar is fantastic.
You are talking rubbish, maybe you live abroad and wish plenty poverty in Nigerians so with the little fx you bring in you buy people's land, houses, wives, girlfriends cheaply.
The most a dollar should be is 460, atleast that was what Tinubu met it at while the pound at 560. Abi don't you know how this people have made Nigerians poor? Go outside the country with your naira, what is hard for you to spend money on is what people from the legacy poorest countries of the world, even the previously yeye African countries we use to do big brother for will blowing money on while you will be calculating it's equivalent in naira. Enter German kebab, buy their wrap with some extras, you are down £20, enter KFC, £20, na N45k alert you go get for your Eg Zenith bank card!
Oga at 1000 to $1, how will Nigerians ever ever ride a brand new car? Eg a corolla that cost $28k will automatically be N28m, by the time you ship, add duty, add dealer profit the car will be N60m, you personally can you afford 60m for a baby car that in a sane environment it is car your child that turns 16 should be driving? Haba I was with my younger brother the other day in his gleaming Mercedes, a small size one with those fancy amoled wrap around screen dashboard, guess what? He said he wanted to gift it to his 17 year old son! Benz ohh, moto they will call 100s of millions of naira for, person say him wan dash small pikin, and he said it so causally! Note that he is not rich, but the fact is that the purchasing power in that country makes him able to afford it! Where is our own purchasing power as Nigerians? All the cars you see in the roads of recent are all old, junk, scrappy car, go to south Africa, Kenya, Ghana and you see we in naija are celebrating buying cars fit for the junk yard!
To return some sort of dignity to Nigeria, Tinubu needs to return naira to atleast N300 to the dollar.

Brodas, yes be responsible to your family, but one thing I will always say is take care of yourself too. You see all this kids, when they are older it is their mother they will likely face, they may leave the man to wallow in loneliness.
I know this Indian man we grew up knowing. It was popsi that first brought him to Nigeria in the early 80s to run a factory. All the years he stayed in Nigeria, he married, raised his Indian kids here in naija, they only returned to India for university. Anyway this man finally relocated to India when he was too old to work again, besides he had some heath challenges. Why am I writing this, about 2 months ago my bro in the US asked me to send him $1k that he will return it back, say him need to urgently send that our Indian uncle some money, howwwhuh. Apparently the son and daughter he trained to be a medical doctor and a PhD level engineer based in Canada and the US have abandoned the man, they only send money to their mother or she is mostly with them in north America, Baba de house on wheel chair, the words he used is that they have left him to die. This na man weh deprive himself for those kids and wife ohh..
The man should sustain his family alright but he should not wound himself, instead of him doing all the work, let madam put a plug on her totex and get a job, Haba in these challenging times 5 kids? Meanwhile they are still looking for papers and obviously on benefits. Imagine if they are asked to leave the UK tomorrow watin go happen to those kids already used to British system? Well I read of a proposed new rule that if you took public benefits when chasing indefinite leave to remain, instead of 5 years it will take you 10 to qualify. Madam should get work to support Oga and stop having more kids, Haba one of them is nearly walking, the man is carrying a new born? As howwwwhuh They want to turn uk to 3rd world country!

I have not read the body of this report.
But the headline alone is a nonsensical thing to say.

There is no logical excuse for such an explanation to come from the police.
The ICPC should swing into investigation and take Egbetokun and his son in for questioning.

The president ask him to resign primarily because of this.

As a member of the ruling party and a member of the City Boy Movement I personally condemn the actions of the former IG and his son.

The ICPC as a matter of fact needs to investigate the Police Service Commission.

I am glad that Egbon Tunji is now the IG, a square peg in a square hole. I remember his days in Lagos as the RRS commander, his sacrifices during the COVID-19 pandemic.

If only the NPF can be half what the RRS was under the command of Egbon Tunji.
I believe in his ability to transform the NPF like he did with the RRS
What is the big deal in a whole IGs son receiving 100m chicken change? Abi is it not child's play compared to on Oga at the top that his own son bought £10m house at age 28 after turning the treasury of a state into a personal piggyback?
Abeg let the IGs son enjoy himself, it is his own time, when it reaches your turn, do as you wish(no be so una de talk?) , after all he too is a "city boy" aka shady gang, people with questionable wealth, people aspiring to have questionable wealth without enterprise, money na wataa gang, asskissers, gay people.

Rubbish, absolute rubbish. Was this interaction professional in your view?
Was this conversation consensual or under duress? You clearly heard the man tell the police man politely, that they had to be in their way to Benin, Indirectly saying he was delaying them.
Truth of the mater is that that police man was looking for opportunity to extort them but letter considered it risky, he was not sure if he was being recorded.
See, you avoid unnecessary interactions with officials as they use it to evaluate how to extort you.
Today at MM airport, passangers were happy praising Festus keyamo, I included. Once you reach immigration you do not need to give anyone your passport to stamp or start asking you stupid questions which will then end in extortion or begging for money, you place the data page in a scanner and it let's you in to the country.
