Foreign Affairs / Re: Iran To U.S : Step Aside So You Won't Get Hit. by nedekid: 12:21pm On Apr 06
bonechamberlain:

Israel is not the only country in the world, it is a rascal, lawless and anarchical behaviour for Israel to bomb a consulate. They have virtually broken all laws known to have kept the modern world far away from anarchy and strife.

it's time for the U.S to hands off and allow Israel be taught a lesson.

The only reason why the U.S have no choice than to assist Israel is to prevent Israel from using nukes. Conventionally Israel would be levelled in less than a month fighting Iran, rather than them loosing they would take the nuclear route, hence the reason for the constant U.S interference.
It is more like Israel is doing what made Hitler stop them back in the 40s. They infiltrate government, plant jews in strategic position. They sponsor kids to join strategic organizations eg fbi, cia, they sponsor them to join politics, fund busineses, make them financiers etc, at the end of the day, they control goverment and it's policies.
Jeffery epstin, for instance was said to have been financed by insrael to be a party boy, arranging chicks for people in power, then keeping compromising recordings of them, ie kompromat that could be used to blackmail them iif they do not do as instructed.
America is ruled and controlled by the jews. The American goverment will finance Israel that has free healthcare to the extent open heart surgery, organ transplant etc are all free to Isreali citizens while in the US, if you do not have insurance or cash, you are on your own. Israel builds housing for free or highly subsidized for its citizens, but in the US, you go homeless without money.
America has been taken over by Israel. Israeli prime minister netanyahu that will disagree with Obama and then go to the senate to get it to support him against a sitting us president.

Make the cost of electricity 1k per unit, few months later, gov will say they are paying subsidy. I have said it before even when cost of a liter of petrol was 180. Make the cost 600, within months same goverment will claim to pay subsidy. Are they not currnely paying subsidy on petrol?

Nigeria government don't have anything against the Yoruba lady.
Is he the only person to have abusing Naira.

They are just punishing her for his way of Life because no law in Nigeria can be used to punish him for that.

Nothing much.

Dont think it has to do with his way of life, rather his popularity. As he said, he has over 5m followers.
EFCC charging him rather that some unknown person will generate the required publicity and attention needed to stop the abuse of the naira, aka spraying. Next they will go for is someone like chief priest. That will ensure enough publicity especially in the south east.

Study a thief, how?. i dey expose him. if i dey lie, you counter my facts with proofs. i dare you.
You are absolutely right, he obviously made money through magomago deals during that administration. No known business, or if he claims he had, let him bring them out for audit. This is the bane of Nigeria. Even oga at the top, what business did he have to amass so much wealth? What factories, industries etc did he have. He only became the governor of a state, from there made trillions, to the extent he said the whole money of one state like that was not enough for him to eat.
Truth of the matter is that that is what Nigerians seem to want, wealth without enterprise.
Those that had established busineses, you lot demonize them, call them this and that, knowing it is not true.
Nigeria is the land where one person can be average today and then due to political connections become a billionaire tomorrow.
100k if you can mention the business oga at the top did to make such money, his source of income. You also offer me 100k to tell you how the Labour party candidate made his.

Envious? What's there to envy about a bunch of fish in a plastic container?
Rather if you say the neighbor "allegedly" did this because his complaints had been ignored for a long time, one will understand. Complains of smell, noice from trashing fish, nuisance etc, then one will understand.
Anyway, he will explain taya how he knows the neighbor did this as there is no evidence.

I charged N20k yesterday and got over 300 units, and we get power for about 12hrs each day.

Some of the units people are posting is shockingly expensive.

I would not be surprised if, over the coming months, the discos started putting more and more people under the now dreaded Band A without their knowledge.

Have you recharged after 12pm?
Try it and get back.
I bought 5k by 12.30am or so and got 20 units

Old boy! Like how long will this 20 units last you on normal usage?
1 day ie if just 1 fridge is on. Deep freezer disconnected. 1 unit 1hp Ac used at night ie my bedroom.
2 days if just fans are used with 1 fridge. 2 tvs.
Kids will be back from uni in 2 days, so possibly I will have to budget 15-20k daily as they will use their room acs, turn on their tvs, living room Ac too. Afterall after suffering in school hostel heat, the few days they will be around, one cannot deprive them the comfort of comming home.

Years ago when this epileptic power supply became an the norm,on the radio stations, many Nigerians were calling saying "Nigerians would pay,let them just give us constant power, nothing is moving in Nigeria because there is no regular power,Nigerians will pay".I was just laughing,in my mind these are clowns.
Just a few years or months later power improved, then tariffs went up.The same calibre of people started lamenting,"the bill is too much".
I then became angry because I knew that anyone saying Nigerians would pay any amount for regular power is either a child or mentally challenged.
Tariff should be affordable.
The most capitalist Nation in the world, the US,even there minimum wage earners can afford to pay tariff, even if it's 24,they just have to regulate their use when they are out.
Here even the fabled middle class would soon find it difficult to pay for power.
Imagine spending almost 200k a month just for electricity. Is that not madness!
At thag price, the average 3 bed house will spend well over 500k monthly, minimum. I know, because where I reside the tarrif is about 130. With that, I was spending (despite unplugging deep freezer, abandoning acs, only using fans) and average of 150k. Now imagine that the tariff will be 266 kwh.
Truth of the matter is that busineses will close. How will hotels, eateries, factories, schools etc operate? Busineses already struggling with high diesel cost? Do you know that the recent audit of a school and hotel business I saw the books, they all ran at heavy loss as all the income went to powering generators? They then wan to to add high electricity cost "join"?
Wonderfull how these guys think. This is the implication of electing people with no visible source of income, no factories, consultancies, industries etc into office. Wealthy people without any form of enterprise. People that have made billions through links to politics. That can award contracts worth bilions with a pen, make money without leaving their beds. They never know how busineses work, how they survive, how the average person makes end meet.
Anyway, people might take it lightly, not until they load 10k Nepa card and it last half a day.

socialmediaman:
The Tinubu government has just increased electricity cost for band A customers to N225 per KPH.

For context, customers in the US pay about the same cost per KPH (or cheaper) depending on the state you live in.

Energy analysts are explaining that Nigerians are willing to pay more if they have access to electricity.

Based on data from NerdWallet, the average monthly electricity cost in the US is about $137 which is about N178,000.

Are you willing to pay N178,000 monthly for electricity for a 24-hour supply?
What is the Nigerians per capita, $3k? The American $70k?
What is the minimum wage of both countries?

Politics / Re: Diesel Price Drops As Dangote Sells ₦‎1,225/Litre, Supplies Petrol May by nedekid: 6:56pm On Apr 03
Igbek76:
Some group of haters of Tinubu/APC will know they are really stupid day by day.

They will hear more good news by force.

Oga, leave petty talk, focus on the reality on ground, which affect me and you.
Do you buy diesel? Anyway I do. I buy and average of 1000-1200 liters per week.
Now diesel has been sold for the last 3 weeks at ₦1480 at Nnpc gas stations, private 1450 to ₦1650.
Now if dangote has decided to sell at 1225-1300 per liter, how much do you then think it will be sold at the pumps? Assuming there is a ₦200 margin for transport and petrol station gains, is that not ₦1500 per liter +/- 50?
Fine it is great and commendable that dangote is providing diesel, but at what cost? 1 year ago how much was diesel, ₦120, ₦200 per liter, which one is the praise while it is still over 1300,1500 per liter?
Abi what is wrong with Nigerians for goodness sake?
$1 per liter? $4 per gallon? In Nigeria? The same price with America? We with our gdp per capita at eg $3k will buy diesel same price with America with $70k per capita? Is this not sorcery or as locally said, no be juju be dat?
Anyway, let's be positive, the prices will come down gradually.
