tinubu said so too

What will they eat - agbado, eba, gari

How many nigerians can afford ilfe chicken, dailyegg, daily beef, indomie, semo etc

Go and ask canteen about their sales
Lol, abi ohh, cassava, ewa, plenty of garri, Tinubu said they should feed youths, that's all they need to be contented.
No wonder some market women saw one fellow yesterday and thought it was Davido, come de hail the guy. Too much consuming garri don blind them. Lol
Last month my pikin come back from school, as I de drive home he called me say him don miss turkey as per they don't serve them meat, chicken, fish or turkey in their uni.
Na so I tell my driver to branch make I buy 2 kilos make them fry for the boy. Omo, as we park from window I tell them make them bring 2 kilos, na so them talk say na N19500!
Guy, I no know when I shout.. 19500? Howwwhuh, ordinary turkeyhuh
I hear it is now 21k for 2 kilos, how do people survive these days for goodness sake? If me could be shocked, what of eg my driver? How do people feed their families?

Jagaban is doing well, the people rejoice with full tommies.
As onanuga will say, 25k is cheap in naija for a pot of jollof, increase is all over the world not just naija, in "amelica" it cost $100, on "rondon" it cost £80. cheesy

If this continues, Nigeria won't be able to maintain it's Forex, and dollar might get to 3k.
E don set.
Story, the fact that those minor export to the US, mainly high end Africa foods eg dried fish, ogbo, snails etc has difficulties being cleared will not effect the value of the naira.
As has been explained before, the American business that import pay the tarrif, not the exporting country. In this case companies like AAJ Express Logistics Limited are courier companies that do eg groupage to the US. They have affiliates in the US so they are basically like a local US company importing from Nigeria. You give them your 10 cartons of dried fish in Lagos, they ship it to the US, clear it and had over to you or your assigns in the US for a fixed price per kg. What it basically means is that the courier companies will have to charge more per kg to deliver to the US due to the extra 10% duty of which the sender will increase his price too. The US consumer will have to pay more.

Well if you care to know, a person of his calibre with money simply booked a flat inside prison compound with DSTV, good bed, steady supply of kush and fresh babes.
Just get money in this country, you will enjoy even inside prison

Big mistake, the guy don carry "students" enter house.
Once a person comes out of police station, jail etc, use uber to go home, the first thing is to head to the laundry room, remove cloths and throw into the washing machine then go take a shower if not bedbugs don enter. After few weeks na your pikin go wake you up for night with "daddy plenty ant is biting me" . Lol

Na wa o. What is the world now turning into?
The more the poverty the more you see such. You as a parent know how much you spend on your kids to send the to school even more to maintain them. Imagine those that do not have and the girls have to sponsor themselves, even burdened with sending money home to their siblings and parents, omo most of them survive through runs. I saw a beautiful lady that worked for about 2 months in a supermarket, a 300 level part time student of unilag ie 5 year course. She said she spends 5k every Saturday to go to school. Painful thing is that she stopped work and abandoned her unilag schooling to move to Abuja to "hustle" with her sister saying she will start schooling all over through open university, that she could no longer cope financially, school fees and all. Is it not runs she has entered?
Omo, poverty na bad thing. This is not to dispute the fact that there are bad girls with long throat, no matter how parents provide for them, the choose to live beyond their means.

Proudlyngwa:
IBB is one of the reasons We are in this mess

Tinubu is far better than him
IBB that was president about 40years ago? Fine he brought in SAP, still yet he did not destroy the country at the rate these current misfits have done. Even as at IBBs time, officers and civil servants were scared to display stolen wealth, they will use proxies, today is not the case, they chop the money openly and use it to press you ontop.
Back in IBBs time up to text books was provided to students in schools, University was free with 24h electricity on campus. I remember those days you will see tankers of diesel trucks comming to supply my university, today just a month ago we heard no electricity for weeks abi months at UCH Ibadan, they could not pay the electricity bill not to talk of buying diesel for generators.
Bros let's put the blame squarely where it should be, the APC, buhari, Tinubu and all those that voted for them.
Pdp was in power for 16 years dollar was between 80-140, temporary went up to 200 due to elections and would have returned to 140.
In the 10years these evil Apc has been there it has gone from 200 to N1700!
Ok, so they removed subsidy on fuel, electricity, dangote refinary and nnpc started producing locally yet naira has not appreciated.
In the last 2 weeks curencies around the world have been appreciating against the dollar due to the trade war with China, Infact the Russian rouble despite all the sanctions and war is said to be the world's best performing currency appreciating to prewar value, but guess what, against the currency appreciation trend, naira instead is deprecating! No be juju be dat? Does this not tell you something is wrong with us? As in the people incharge are doing magomago?

Meanwhile is "present" a Yoruba world for president? Because Tinubu pronounces it the same way when speaking Yoruba. Remember when he spoke out when he felt buhari was not supporting their arrangement. He clearly said "present" several times in reference to president.

People should be allowed to carry small pistols.
Exactly.
But you know what, as at today the suspension on licences for arms is still on. Not for even pistols but pump action or cartridge shot guns. Those that have cannot renew licenses not to talk of aquiring new ones. Some fulani IG during buharis time withdrew all licenses. I don't see why the current IG cannot reverse the policy considering people have to defend themselves.

Only God knows how long some of them will spend in Kirikiri and Kuje prison.

If only the EFCC will not be compromised in handling the case.
1.3 trillion is no joke.
All the ones that have ran such scheme over the years, what has happened to them? Have you seen the conclusion of any of those cases? A late mum of my friend, a retired top officer once said they do not want to hear attempted or failed fraud, that one na jail streight. What they want to hear is "successful" when the case of brought for investigation. Why, because there is money to be shared. Lol
In this case, people that chopped 1.5tillion, even if they set aside 5% for settlement how do you think they will go to jail?

Oga rest. If you live in a dollar economy. That one na for your pocket. The $30K you mentioned is a big deal to millions of Americans self.

You're saying is that how poor they are. How many Nigerians are rich, that's the question you should ask yourself.

Oga rest ooo. In this economy if you don't live beyond your means you can survive of $5 meals daily and you'll eat good foods.

This one is saying 45M is not money. Unless you have the money in billions. Any basic thing a 500M holder can afford, a 50M holder will also afford it, so rest
Of course $30k is a lot of money. How many Americans can boast of 30k cash in their accounts. A lot of good things they have access to which we term luxury over here are financed.
30k in the naija context is alot expecially due to the devaluation of the naira, the destruction of our purchasing power by the misfits in government. Few years ago it was easier for me to have $30k here in naija than for my sibling in the US. That money was 4.5m, of course it is now over 45m.
Where there might be a differ is saying someone with 50m can still afford with some one with 500m can. Someone with 50m can not drive a brand new car in naija unless he wants to soak garri. With 10% the most he will ride is a naija used 20 year old vehicle, a person with 500m will ride a entry level basic brand new car. Same applies to owning a house. With 30% Mr 500m can buy land for 75m and build a house for 75m total 150m. I doubt the 50m fellow can achieve the same with 15m.
Anyway, I get you point generally.

Politics › Re: Presidency Budgets ₦10bn For Solar Power by nedekid: 8:55am On Apr 21, 2025
Na wah, even te presidency has given up on national grid, the cost of band A is not realistic to them neither is the reliability of supply. Seeing the action of government, what then are we ordinary citizens suppose to do considering we do not have 10b to spend on solar? If government cannot afford to pay, na we fit?
With management persin de blow 10k daily on nepa units.
10 billion on solar is another matter all together, how many solar panels will power such a system and where will they install them. Even 5000 solar panels at 150k per unit is 750m. We all know there is no way 5000 panels can be installed, so how come 10b, abi na battery cost that much? They should give is the breakdown jare.
