InvestmentRe: How Do We Promote Our Section? by Negro1: 9:23pm On Jul 10, 2013
Well i'm not a usual poster but i always follow this sec. To improve this section we have to consider n do some tinz.
We v to know d class dat d majority of our viewers belong to,is it investors or enterpreneurs or people dat r looking for investment news. We can achieve ds by checking d threads on dese.
For example if threads on investment news boast of d most number of views, n interactions, it means that we have more investment news readers as viewers.
With that in mind, we have to make sure that this ppl come back, how? We make sure that such threads r always available as in yanfu yanfu. D key to making sure that such happens is if d creators for such threads get what dey want, some just want d views n d 'joy' of being d OP of a fuly interactive thread. Others want clicks for dere blogs, we have to encourage ppl to click on outgoing links, we can achieve ds by creatin a thread dat encourages it, whch shud be created by d mod. Also by putin such posts on FP. D return will nt be a win-win but a win-win-win OPs get wat dey wnt, readers get more n uptodate news, our section gets more activity n interaction.
Note dis also include threads on write ups/articles n opinion-seeking threads.
And if we also have to improve d level of satisfaction investors n enterprenuers derive from ds section, i believe dere r more enter-Ps than investors, so investors wil definitely get bombarded by replies, but we can help them choose btween replies by admonishin them to state d kind(s) of biz dey wnt n we delete any reply dat dos not tally. Ds way investors wil be able to see what dey want.
And for d enterpreneurs we can help them by featurin their threads on FP, who knows maybe a potential investor who does not want to stay long online or just likes viewin threads on FP alone may see such threads. Also we shud delete all threads dat r obvious as scams.
My 2 kobo.

charcoalblaq: @Negro.

At this stage it is people like you with ideas like that that we need, not cash, that abounds given a solid structure is in place. Our Focus for now is Agriculture and Real Estate, nothing entirely new rather an improvement on the "old".

Really Good thinking.
well then i'll love to be part of this great program. But before any starting i suggest that we look for experts in agric n real estate with at least 10 years experience. And by experience i do not mean ordinary farmers and people that just sell lands and houses or just some agent.
BusinessRe: Crowd Funding In Nigeria. Intelligent minds, lets discuss. by Negro1: 2:56pm On Jul 09, 2013
Im not interested in joining right now because rite now i dont have d luxury of cash to contribute. However i'll like to drop a tip dat u may adopt when u finally start. I'll suggest dat u focus ur investment spotlight on certain sectors that will bring assured returns both for d group and d enterpreneurs.my reason for saying this is that u don't want to exhaust ur early funds on ideas that may not work. U may want to look into technology, energy and agriculture.
My humble contribution.
BTW I'm a law student with spectacular knowledge in private and business law, if you need my humble assistance in any way that i can help. U can contact me.

msay: 1. Sit-Ups

Sit-ups are the best known core exercises used to shape the tummy. Lie on the ground or on a yoga mat, keeping your knees bent and the feet on the mat. Your hands should be held at the back of your head.

Tighten your abs and lift your head and shoulders off the mat, making sure the feet remain on the ground. Remain in the air with your abs tightened for 1 to 3 seconds and return to your initial position. Repeat the move 10 to 20 times.

2. Crunches

The crunches are similar to sit-ups. The initial position is the same, with the back on the mat and knees bent. The hands will be kept crossed on the chest or at the back of your head.

Inhale and lift your head and shoulders by tightening your abdominal muscles. Stay in this position for a few seconds, exhale and return to the starting position.

The crunches may replace the sit-ups; choose the sit-ups if you experience neck pain.

3. Leg Lifting

Leg lifting is a type of exercise that will work on your lower abs.

Lie on a yoga mat with your hands behind your head or crossed on the chest. Tighten your abdominal muscles and squeeze your buttocks. Lift both your legs off the floor, maintaining them straight or bending them slightly. Lower the legs to 1 inch to the floor, so that the abdominal muscles are still tight and then repeat the lift. Perform 5 series of 10 leg lifts.

A pull-up bar can also be used to vary the intensity of the exercise. The bar should be attached to a wall behind you (e.g. over the door). Grab the pull-up bar with your hands and hang with your legs straight; make sure your body is not swinging by stabilizing your upper body. Your shoulders should be in a neutral position and there should be a bit of space between your ears and the shoulders. Keep your back and abs tight and lift your knees to your chest. To add more intensity, you can also raise your straight legs to 90 degrees, using your lower abs. Maintain this position for 3 seconds and then lower your legs. Repeat 10 times.

4. Jack Knife Sit Ups

A jack knife sit up is a more complex sit-up, involving all abdominal muscles.

Lie on your mat, with the legs straight on the mat and your hands to the sides. Lift your feet and head at the same time. Maintain this position for 3 seconds and then lower your feet and head.

5. V-Ups

Lie on your mat with your stomach and head touching the ground. Lift your legs and head at the same time, keeping your legs straight.

Remain in this position for a few seconds and then lower your legs and head to the ground. Repeat 10 times.
Thank u very much sir, I'll start implementng ur procedures today. Please are there some kind of food I should probably avoid?

CelebritiesDo Nigerian Artistes Pay Tax? by Negro1(op): 11:01pm On Jun 30, 2013
Just curious. Do nigerian singers/rappers, actors/actresses n ors pay tax.
I do read about US, British celebs facing tax evasion charges, but I've never read of a Nigerian. Or is it that our 'celebs' are just too honest?
Science/TechnologyPlease Advice My Friend by Negro1(op): 10:40pm On Jun 30, 2013
Hi all, I have a friend that asked for my advice on an issue, although I couldn't give him a satisfactory advice, I directed him to NL but he begged me to do it for him. So here comes:
The guy in question loves gadgets, softwares, apps games n all the techy stuff. Now he told me he wants to start his own technology company,(building gadgets, developing softwares n his only problem is, he can't write a line of code. I would have loved to teach him, but I'm not the 'techy guy'. Sometimes ago I adviced him to learn all dese geeky stuff, but it seems his school schedule won't permit him(We attend the same uni). nd he keeps complaining that online learning is crap. His only advantage is that he has a huge financial backing. Now he is confused because lots of articles on the web states tht its almost imposibble for someone without techy knowledge to start n run a tech company.

Left to me, I have tried to discourage him because i kinda agree with those articles. But he seems bent, and I think he can use any other advice u guys can offer.

Humn mods can u do me a favor? can u direct this post to where ppl will see it?

Thanks

WebmastersRe: Elvis Chidera - The 14-Year-Old Nigerian Programmer Is 100% Legit by Negro1: 2:19pm On Jun 30, 2013
akintayo1: Your son does not need to play with your laptop at 9 months, just buy him bold 4 or z10 to play with now, so he can become the next mark and Gates combine when he is 10yrs old.

So because someone is a programer at 14 mean he should go online begging for money or laptop.

At ninteen am already an CEO of my little company, at 21, I became a father and a good loving husband. My son is already 13yrs now, attending computer study while he is on holiday awating his junior WAEC result.

If he needs something, It's my sole responsibilty to get it for him, if I can't, his mother will. (my wife)

Belive it or not, that boy is up to something. Can't you see the way he talks, am not even sure if he is the one writing the post here.

Only time will tell.

Graphicplus, just let the poor boy be already, u don't know him from Adam...
Which part of a 14-yer old programmer seem difficult for u to believe?
And u said u have served s a youth leader?...I doubt that because the various and numerous youth leaders I've seen n met do not talk like this. Oh sorry maybe u meant youth leader for agberos.
I've been watching u silently ever since this saga began, I expected u to act ur age and backdown. that u did not do the 'cool tech stuff' when u were a teen doesn't mean others can't do it. Although I've lost interest but when I was his age I used to build 'simple robots' with my frends.

Please for the love of God, let it slide and let's not pursue this matter anymore.

Even without meeting him, I've always known he was legit, how? because contrary to ur opinion he does not talk like a scammer.

Elvis pls kindly ignore any of his posts concerning this issue.
