The bible does not record any idea of how long ago the earth was created. It only begins keeping records of time from when Adam was created. God had already created the heavens and the earth long before Genesis chapter 1:3 when God began to 'recreate' the earth by speaking and saying LET THERE BE LIGHT.

Genesis 1:1 was the beginning when God first created everything on earth including water which you won't find mentioned again as being created during the 6 days of recreation starting from verse 3, because it was already mentioned as being there on earth in verse 2 before God said let there be light. If everything was created in the 6days of creation as some of our Sunday school teachers had erroneously told us (without studying the bible properly), then on which of the 7days did God create the water we see in verse 2 before the 6days of "creation" began

In summary, bible scholars believe a lot of things happened in between Genesis chapter 1 vs 1 and vs 3 which were not recorded in the bible, and one of them was the fall of Lucifer. They also believe it's highly likely that God had created other beings on earth before the earth was destroyed by water in Genesis 1:2, and God was merely recreating the earth again when he created Adam. There could be elements of truth in this, but the most important thing is that we don't know how long ago the earth was created, could have been thousands or millions or even billions of years ago

I honestly don't know how this is coming as "news" or a "new discovery" to these "Scientists". It's been recorded in the bible from thousands of years ago (Genesis chapter 1 verses 1 - 2) that the whole earth was covered in water for a period of time (which we weren't told the duration) between when God first created the heavens and the earth in Genesis chapter 1 verse 1 and Genesis chapter 1 verse 3 when God began recreating the earth and called for dry land to appear out of the waters, and at the end of the RECREATION, God created Adam on the 6th day.

I have heard many people who haven't read their bible properly attempt to claim that "the bible said the earth is about 7,000years old", to which I always wonder IN WHAT BIBLE DID THEY SEE SUCH INFORMATION? While we can clearly deduce from the genealogy recorded in the bible from the time of Adam that God must have created Adam about 7,000years ago approximately, that by no means indicates that God created the earth only 7,000years ago.

The bible only began keeping record of time from day 1 of earth's RECREATION when God called for light to appear in Genesis 1 verse 3. Between Genesis chapter 1 verse 1 and verse 2 is a period of time we have no idea how long it was. The bible does not record anything about the timeframe inbetween.

For those still thinking this is a made up story and that God created everything in 7days, have you asked yourself when within those 7days God created water In verse 2 even before God started recreating the earth and saying LET THERE BE LIGHT, we can already see that water was in existence at that time.

Just maybe when people start taking the bible seriously, we'll understand science more.

For a start, The US is far more prosperous and powerful than China in every sense.....except maybe in terms of 5G technology.

Secondly, you talk about China being a model of development, let me ask you; what sort of development is that when the citizens are not free? In China, you are policed by the state, you can't criticize the government without going to jail. You can't freely practice any religion of your choice as you wish. 100% true! I can use myself as a practical example. I was born into a dysfunctional home where my mother and father were not married. They were just doing boyfriend and girlfriend even though my father was already married to another woman at that time and my mother was already divorced from her previous husband. My mother had 3 kids before she met my father from her divorced marriage, and she then had me and my younger sister for my dad. My father was never a part of our growing up and my younger sister and I were both exposed to a lot of things kids should not be exposed to, and to be honest, there was every opportunity for us to become wayward.

But guess what? As at when I was 12 years old, I gave my life to Christ and I had enough sense to tell myself that I don't want to live the kind of life my mother and father lived. I was determined to correct the lifestyle instead of living the same life of my parents and blaming them for not showing the right example for me. I was fortunate enough to have other distant people in church I could look up to, and they made me understand that if I don't want to end up the same way my parents did, I must find out what they were doing wrong and do the opposite.

What I want to highlight here is this; me and my sister were exposed to the same dysfunctional home experience, she chooses the wrong lifestyle and ends up getting pregnant out of wedlock twice while I chose to say no to the wrong lifestyle in order to make something good for myself. LIFE IS ABOUT CHOICES. YOU MAY COME FROM A POOR OR DYSFUNCTIONAL BACKGROUND, BUT YOUR CHOICES CAN CREATE THE OPPOSITE RESULTS FOR YOU. There is only so much we can blame parents for. The best gift any parent can give a child is not expensive mobile phone or gadgets, but rather helping them to know Christ. There are so many nonsense in a teenager's life that a genuine relationship with Christ will automatically correct. Today, I find a lot of adults who are my age mates or even older and they are just beginning to understand some wisdom and sense about life that I already understand when I was a teenager simply by studying my bible.....especially the book of Proverbs

Britain was like the US until from the period around World War II, when most of Britain and Western Europe began throwing away their old values centred around belief in God, and they started embracing atheism. From that period onwards, the power disparity between The US and Britain began to increase. Today, the GDP of the US is more than the Combined GDP of all countries in Europe combined.

Unfortunately, we still have some idiots in Nigeria who now tell us that when societies embrace atheism and get rid of religion like has been largely done in Britain and Western Europe, that such a country would experience fast development. They forget that The US which is the most prosperous and powerful country in the history of mankind is a country where over 70% of the population still believes in God!

In case you don't know, the US is number one in the world by far, and if you choose not to work with them, you will only be damaging your own country. They don't have a choice but to cooperate with the US. The US economy also is larger than all the economies of Europe combined, so understand it that there is nothing like them ganging up against US and succeeding. There is a reason the US refer to themselves as God's own country, as against most of Europe where majority don't believe in God
