BusinessRe: Nigeria’s GDP Growth Rate Rises To 1.81% In Third Quarter – NBS by neoclassical: 1:42pm On Dec 10, 2018
Increase in GDP that has no impact on the living standard of the people is a farce. What countries are clamouring for is economic development that can trickle down to the masses and not a mere increase in GDP. Economic welfarism is a good measure of development and economic prosperity, which tends to offer the greatest good for the greatest number in the society. This will ultimately redeem the poor from the poverty trap and short-circuit the vicious circle of poverty. Welfare Economists like John Baptist Say, Parelto, Hicks, Kaldo etc made implicit efforts in ensuring efficiency allocation of resources or income redistribution in free market economies like Nigeria to close the gaps between the haves and the have-nots. Infact, Buhari has no sound Economists in his Cabinet. cool cool lipsrsealed shocked

As long as the Northern Masses have not dumped him, no wahala.

The so-called northern leaders and southern leaders/elites are the problem of Nigeria anyway.

Buhari has the masses and that's the most important element in his re-election in 2019.
Who are the masses? The masses that are wallowing in abject poverty and hunger with no hope in sight because of this terrible specie in Aso Rock called Bubu. If you are relying on the masses to re-elect Buhari, then you are not in touch with realities. An average Nigerian in the street is now counting days to 2019. Pls, make inquiries before posting trash like this. Buhari is the worst thing that has ever happened to this country.

Chief Micky (as he fondly called) is a philanthropist with sound academic background. He will surely make great impacts in the 9th Senate..

PoliticsIs Nnamdi Kanu Now The Last Hope Of APC In The Forthcoming Election? by neoclassical(op): 12:52pm On Oct 20, 2018
Since the news of sudden re-appearance of Nnamdi Kanu hit the social media, APC members have started jubilating, creating different accounts on different social media platforms to announce the arrival of Nnamdi Kanu. This is with the hope that Nnamdi Kanu will ask Igbos to boycott the forthcoming election in order to reduce Atiku's votes, especially in the South East. Same Nnamdi they called all sorts of names coupled with the invasion of his home by the Military, whisked his entire family away, all was orchestrated by Buhari and APC.

Infact, there are indications that APC is negotiating with Nnamdi Kanu to come back to Nigeria before 2019 to discourage Igbos from voting in 2019.

Please, all Igbos should disregard the gimmicks and scam from APC as we will participate fully come 2019 election and vote for Atiku massively.

Get your PVC, Vote for Atiku, No election boycott.
PoliticsRe: Meet SDP Candidate For Surulere 2 Federal Constituency by neoclassical: 12:35pm On Oct 20, 2018
Nonsense, that is how they always use Igbo name and the inlaw nonsense to get votes from Igbos after which they decamp to APC. We are aware this scam and we won't fall for it. Many of his type that won in Ojo area of Lagos during the last election, using the same Igbo-inlaw nonsense all decamped to APC immediately after their swearing in and started insulting same Igbos that voted them in.

lol...

people with your line of reasoning are often blinded by hate & can't reason beyond that hate.

the first part of my primary submission was simple, there are certain positions which the president cannot be faulted if he prefers his kinsman to hold such position, e.g.

personal physician, PA, CSOs, MD, FMC, Katsina... & even DG, SSS...

the other part of my primary submission comes with a caveat, subject to having access to ALL appointments made, the ones presented here indicate lopsided appointments.

now, let me school you a bit...

there are over 6000 political/semi-adminstrative appointments to be made by a sitting president...for purposes of Federal Character, that means each state is ordinarily entitled to about 162 positions...

let's say only 50% of the 6000 appointments have been made. that equates to about 81 positions to be shared.

the op specifically stated 33 positions (the so called 50 board members cannot be verified. so doesn't count).

so, when you break down appointments by federal character, you can see that the ops analysis does not avail 'sane critics' of the full picture of appointments...

the area of lopsided appointments most sane Nigerians worry about is mainly in the security services, now that is where you can direct your argument towards, but mind you, the Federal Character provision does not state the specific positions that must be reflected...

so, be very mindful of who you talk to anyhow, not everyone is a blind slowpoke like you who criticises for criticism sake.

p.s. you know nothing of the intricacies of the federal character provision. read up then come back & talk with sense.
It is unfortunate you have allowed sentiment to becloud your sense of reasoning. Go through the list again, now with unbiased mindset and tell me how many of the positions have to do with security.

before spewing trash, read & understand.
There is nothing to understand in that trash you posted there. Let Buhari appoint everybody from his village to hold all sensitive positions because he has trust in them. It is obvious you don't know what is called Federal Character Principle as enshrined in the constitution.

the president cannot be faulted for some of the appointments listed as the sensitivity of such posts leans towards the president appointing people whom he is comfortable with.

that said, subject to a holistic assesment of ALL appointments, it's safe to say PMB's appointments have not only been lopsided, but also populated by a high number of incompetent charlatans
