google it, dundee. what did u go to school for? |
I hope Seun has read the piece and can see that the words "bre@st" and "nipp1e" are allowed on public forums. It is almost ridiculous to censor those along with all the other such censored words. Trust Nigerians to be hypocrites ![]() As for Ms Jolie, she has a beautiful heart and has always been an inspiration to many. May you live long Angelina! |

alexchiny: Same here with Igbos. We have fought our own decades ago and so on that basis, I sa "good morning" to Niger Delta. Hope Adaka Boro is happy wherever he is.They've started crawling out of their holes... smh As for the clownish professor, why don't the sheepish Nigerian populace tell him and the PDP to take their arrangement and stuff it up their rear end... We don't need these fo0ls to make deals on who leads as if elections count for nothing. |
2. But before I deliver my speech, I would like all of us here and across the country to reflect on the seriousness of the security situation in the country today. Some areas of the nation are virtual war zones in a country supposedly at peace. Whole local governments in some states in the North East are no-go areas to representatives of constituted authority. Marauders of every description armed to the teeth with all manner of sophisticated armaments roam the national landscape with total and murderous impunity. The patience of this nation and the various communities within it has been severely tried and stretched to its limits. And there is no end in sight. There are no truer words than these about the Nigerian situation today. PDP has had their go for 14 years. They've promised much and delivered little. Corruption is rampant, a big chunk of the country is literally a war zone, and they have sat by unconcerned. By 2015, it would be 16 years. Let's give some other party an opportunity to rule and after 4 years assess them and see how they compare against PDP. That's how we can grow quickly - when parties know that if they don't deliver they'll be booted out. It is time to leave sentiments aside. Now is not the time to bring up what Dan fodio or Ahmadu Bello said in 1850. It is also not the time to bring up who did what before the civil war 46 years ago. It is time to look forward, into a future bright and glorious, if only we can seize this moment. Let history remember us as the generation that finally left the baggage of ethnicity, sectionalism and nepotism aside, and voted for the best man on the field. Failing that, we'll continue to be all potential and promise, but a failure nonetheless. God bless these Nigerian states! |
Mr. Globe:Mr OP, so in your deluded, bigoted, deep-seated tribalist mind the PDP (opposition party) chairman's words qualify as "Imo people" abi? Hatred is a bad thing wallai You're a clown of the first order. Ode buruku |
PDP... nest of murderers! |
Lol...this one na caught with your pants down! So its now free trade zone ekwa? Was Eko sleeping when he headlined the topic? Or was his mental faculty on break so he wasn't able to distinguish between FTZ and airport? ![]() |
e be like say praise singing dey ur blood, mr op. u for try career for fuji music so u go dey sing for rich men make them dey spray u money. u're wasting ur talent wallai |
These ibo boys and their deep-seated tribalism. Na wa o Peeps still acting all divided like they're from an ancient generation. I wonder what a man's tribe has to do with anything... Mr Globe and his brothers, leave your village and get some exposure around the world. You'll come to appreciate that you must judge peeps by the content of their character and not where they're from. Bushmen! |
What is the purpose of this thread? Na guilty conscience dey worry you ![]() |
This is sad. This relentless carnage cannot continue indefinitely while the clueless man in Aso rock sits by and watches. If GEJ cannot solve this BH conundrum, he should resign. That's what people do in other climes when they're in over their heads. Where is the accountability? 55 souls and not even a word from the 1diot! |
Omen100: Mr. Karl, its high time you relinquish been a dreamer-king, use your god given head for onceWhy are you attacking the op? Is he the one that came up with the rankings? As per the rankings, I don't see what temperature is doing there as a criteria. It's not like any city can do anything about it's weather conditions. This should be taken with a grain of salt, but it should indicate to us that we still have a long way to go and should not rest on our oars. All praise singers need to calm down ![]() |
She gave further insight into the new plan : “Instead of having 40 year repayment it will be 25 year-repayment; the grace period moves down from 10 years to five years and you have an interest rate of about 1.3 to 1.5 per cent.”When Standard & Poor upgrades a country's credit rating, they become eligible to borrow on lower interest rates. Why is it that when these guys upgraded our economic rating we go from borrowing without interest to borrowing with 1.5% interest? We are going to start losing tons of money that could have been used for further development. Upgrading our economic rating is a good thing, but why the rush? We only went from 64% to 62% poverty rate. It is commendable but it's not a very significant drop. they could have waited until we get to about 50% at least. I think they consider us a very rich country and are tired of giving us loans at no interest when our govt officials steal huge sums of money. That I think is the motivation for this change. So GEJ supporters should calm down. This doesn't really help us. |
Are you for real? Apparently you be proper olodo + ewu awusa If the military brass had been able to contain their greed and stayed in their barracks all those years, our democracy would have had real roots by now and the country would have progressed orders of magnitude on where we are now. I can't believe a grown man would make this infinitely dumb claim. And Gowon is the most loved HOS? You're a certified clown my friend ![]() |
berem: I wonder how age has become a factor for becoming a president. Jonathan who is in his 50's, what has he done so far for the country? what has people like Dimeji Bankole, Farouk Lawan etc who i believe are in their 40's impacted in the lives of the Nigerian youth? Absolutely nothing! Corruption knows no age. Buhari should be given the opportunity to rule this country. Who cares if he is 100years? what Nigerians want is a true leader who will liberate this country from the hands of PDP.Nuff said! |
truth4meal: And to all you singers of young president - how many of you voted ur young comrades who contested for the presidency in other political parties to serve as a form of encouragement and also as a testimony of your sincere want for a young president. How many of you belong to a political party or are u dreaming someone will one day knock your door to offer you the candidature of a party? See we should cover our face in shame that the only tin veritable against Buhari is his age and religion - and not that he is corrupt and insensitive to the plight of the masses. Because Buhari is old I should then vote a clueless GEJ cos he is young? Because Buhari is a northern I should then vote the corrupt GEJ cos he is from the south? So because Buhari is muslim I should vote the visionless GEJ cos he is a "christian"? We need to start thinking and acting like people that sincerely want a positive change. It should be progress over sentiments not the other way round...transforming Nigeria atm is not a child's play I beg to repeat! Sai Buhari!!! |
truth4meal: Insincerity on what we truly want is a major in Nigeria. Is the problem of Nigeria caused by age of our leaders? NO! Is the challenges of our economy a result of an absence in technocrats? NO! Is the problem facing us as a nation and our inability to move forward a direct product of sentiments? YES! Why can't will just for once be reasonable - if age is the magic why then is a young and educated GEJ performing so horribly? Or why is Dimeji Bankole and the rest "youths" embroiled in massive corruption? Any reasonable person who is still thinking freely and not with a bought conscience will attest to the popularity of Buhari and the sincerity of the man's quest for a positive change. When we reason in terms of how old a man is and where he is from rather than the ability to perform then we are indeed our problem. Politics is a game of popularity and numbers - only Buhari can within d frame of two years be sellable cos pushing a new relatively unknwn individual as a presidential candidate is a suicide. Age has nothing to do with performance in govt and history has a lot of examples. What we need is progress - sincere transformation and "total" freedom from the bondage of PDP. Our problem is not about age, sex, tribe, place of birth and other trivia tinz - our problem is corruption, greed, insincerity, mismanagement and PDP!!! Buhari is the man! After him a young an vibrant Nigerian can emerge but not now - to clear the rot in this nation atm is not a child's play...Sai Buhari!!! |
“The simple answer to the floating school is that it is an illegal structure and it shouldn’t be there.” The commissioner said that its development will affect the government’s redevelopment plan for the area, saying “This wouldn’t deter us to abandon our plan for the area.”Plan wey una never still commence after all these years? Na true. Lazy administrators can't think outside the box, and when someone does they simply label it illegal structure. Cows! Aside from providing the much needed educational relief for the kids, wouldn't it be a good thing to have a floating school in Lagos? It might even start up a frenzy of floating structures to make Lagos Africa's own Venice! But the lazy man can't see beyond his nose |
Aggrippa: U.S. economy added 165,000 jobs in April. Unemployment rate fell to 7.5% from 7.6% in March, government says. http://on.cnn.com/QZYZDcHow does this affect the average Nigerian? ![]() |
"With its geopolitical power, economic resources and middle class," he laments,"no country (with the possible exception of Saudi Arabia and Egypt) has the power to change the course of black/African civilization like Nigeria."That has always been my grief with the Nigerian situation. No one, AA, white, asian, hispanic, will ever respect blacks until the black race can pull itself up economically. And that burden/opportunity has always lied with Nigeria. But as always, we are a squandered opportunity. A living proof of the height of greed and wickedness, when a few men corner the entire wealth of a country so that even their fourth generation can't exhaust all the stolen money. Makes me sad every time. |
Mods, could you guys lock up this thread pls? https://www.nairaland.com/1251187/bianca-ojukwu-scheming-break-up/1#15543489 It is character defamation with no proof. Let's not encourage demented souls to bring their delusions here. |
Just confirmed the cost online via sunnews and a few other media outlets. I was hoping it isn't true, but it is. N29B (about $180M) for a 1.358km bridge is insane and the epitome of wickedness! That's less than a mile! I am gradually losing hope that there's any decent enough politician in Nigeria. There goes one of my hopes for a better Nigeria. smh. Meanwhile suspension bridges actually cost less than other types of bridge. Not in Lagos, apparently. And the f00ls here will be shouting Eko o ni baje when politicians are actually baje-ing their children's future |
A less than 2km Suspension bridge for N29B is mad and wicked… Even the FG owned second Niger bridge of about 4kms and an adjoining road of about 20kms will cost just 30 billion nairaI will reserve comment until I hear from ACN insiders. Eko-Ile and co, please is this true? OK_2_NV: $30,000 per inch of bridge. Bridge better be made of Gold! ba7man: Why are some people acting as if this is the first inflated contracted in the history of Nigeria?? We used to experience Over-inflated Contracts that were later abandoned or never carried out but now, at least they're commissioning them now. For the mean time, this is the norm in Government contracts, sad but true or do you want me to start recounting tales of what really goes on in a State like Akwa-Ibom or the Ajaokuta railway line??. We will get there soon. Yeah, its Over-inflated and its Sad but this has always been the case in Nigeria.Shut up joh! The fact that it has been going on for ages doesn't make it right or acceptable. It is mor0ns like you that encourage filthy politicians to do what they do. You've lost all sense of decency and incredulity because it is the norm? Is it a bad thing to expect or demand change? |
albacete: So u are indirectly saying 2 things:Don't mind the cow. It is illiterates like him that encourage the impunity we see in our govt. When an accident occurs all that happens is a police report and an exchange of car insurance and vehicle information, and everyone goes home, unless there was serious injury or death, or it involves drunk driving. Not in Nigeria, according to our in-house educated 1diot. The man should be shot to death because a governor sprained an ankle, or something. How sad |
Ejiné: The shameless idiiot governor is proud he hasn't paid health workers for 10 MONTHS! TEN phucking months! Is this the same man that people (myself included) have been touting for national office? IF these claims are true, then it's very sad indeed. He's effectively selling off the entire state to himself. Can any Rochas supporter on ground in Imo state disprove these allegations please? I hope they are not true ![]() |
Nice! Didn't know they now have monthly polls in Naija. They should do the same for state governors and senators(in their districts, of course). If and when elected officials start taking these polls seriously, the better for everyone as they would begin to do just a bit more knowing that people are watching closely and responding accordingly. |
