This must be a joke!!!

There is a certain church in Nigeria whose pastor jerry curls his hair and speaks in a distinct accent. Sheeple Memebers of his church organize an offering for him on this day. (Offer 7 )

I ask, is this a joke?

Excellent comment. Well what they have is a business organisation and Joagbaje runs the bayelsa branch. He is an employee and must render accounts of his stewardship or he would get fired. Hence, I do not see Joagbaje turning a new leaf but to continue in the deceit and even more aggressively because targets are increased on a proportional level. Little wonder the organisation is doing so well. But the big question is where and why are they accumulating this wealth?

You sabi the gist.

Bunch of knaves they are!

I am only keeping quiet out of restraint. If I start to reveal their inner workings, Nairaland would not be able to contain the commotion. grin

@PastorKun, I don't think it is necessary to release any more detail especially considering the fact that Joagbaje did not contest the burst.
He has apologised for any misrepresentation his actions caused and has tried to explain his involvement in the issue.
The point has been made, THERE WAS NO MIRACULOUS CURE OF HIV
The details I posted already is causing no small stir as I already had someone accuse me of blackmailing Joagbaje, and threatened to arrest and jail megrin grin well I've told him to bring it on.

Whoever threatened you will live his/her life under threat. I swear, anyone who dares lift a finger against you has personal scores to settle with me and I assure you the needful will be done swiftly. Let them try. We are waiting.

In Nigeria, we have abnormal people who would come out and testify of more dreadful diseases worse than HIV IF there is monkey business involved.

Politics / BREAKING NEWS: Boko Haram Abducts 60 Women In Adamawa by nep2ra(m): 10:51pm On Oct 22, 2014
No fewer than 60 women have been reportedly abducted by Boko Haram insurgents from Waga Mangoro and Garta villages in Adamawa State in fresh attacks unleashed by the militants.

Forty of the women were said to have been abducted in Waga Mangoro while 20 were reportedly abducted in the Grata area of the state.

Residents of the affected area, who escaped during the attack, confirmed the incident to our correspondent on the telephone on Wednesday.

One of them said hundreds of insurgents overran the area on motorcycles and vans during a raid on Saturday, burning houses and abducting young women.

One of the locals in Garta, Tizhe Kwada, who managed to escape, said the rampage continued with many residents fleeing the area, which had been under Boko Haram control for about two months.

The Chairman of Madagali Local Government Area, James Watharda, said he had all along been in Yola since the insurgents took control of the area, adding that he could not speak on the matter.

Religion / Re: Pastor Chris Oyakhilome Addresses The Whole Media Hype And Lies by nep2ra(m): 4:33pm On Sep 08, 2014
Eruditor: I know alot about the MOG Pastor Chris Oyakhilome and his wife not just because I have been a member of his church for a very long time but because I have asked questions from people who have been here longer than myself and have known him too, on a very personal level.

I must say that without a doubt he got a definite call from God to take God's divine presence to the nations of the world and demonstrate the character of his Spirit. It is with this vision that the MOG ran with that started out as a fellowship and developed into what you have of it today.

The man fears God (in a reverential way) not just because he is a christian and one called into the 5-fold ministry but because the anointing on his life is very tangible such that it could kill him if decides to walk contrary to his calling- which is to walk in love, righteousness and true holiness as is expected of a man of God- one who Pastors a very large followership world wide.

It is for this reason (and many others that I may mention should time afford me) that I know without a doubt that the prevarications and fabrications of misled individuals some of which are Christians are only done under the inspiration of demons who want to strike the shepherd so that the sheep will be scattered.

Before I say anymore, let me talk about his beloved wife, Rev. Anita Oyakhilome. I have heard her husband say to Winnie Mandela in South Africa that she's of mixed decent as her Dad is an Edo Nigerian while her mum is from Switzerland. She, like her husband gave her heart to Christ at an early age. While I may have lost the exact age she was when she became born again her husband gave his heart to Christ at the age of 9 and both have been that way ever since.

She's one of the founding members of the ministry that began in the early 80s and has a specific grace in the areas of establishing and nurturing churches; mentoring mothers and wives and infact women in general. She also functions in a very tangible anointing from God and if you have ever met her you would feel it without her saying a word.

Pastor Chris (if I am allowed to say) worships the ground she walks on and she does he. She loves and respects him and he does too. They are very private people and have never been known to go to the media let alone divulge personal issues to them. So anyone believing in those lies about her lawyers going to PREMIUM news or Vanguard or what not are doing so at their own peril. It is not just her style.

I have a friend (who used to be on NL but has ceased to do so in years now) who drove Pastor Anita to the airport in 2001 when one other minister in Nigeria was criticising her husband. In the course of the journey, he decided to engage her and ask her for her opinion on the matter. He had heard her preach about the love of God and turning the other cheek to persecutors but somehow he wanted to know how she really felt. He said she was saying a lot of kind things about the man and concluded that the power of God will shine forth from such a situation. That's the Pastor Anita I know.

She started a church in Ojo, Agboju area (close to Alakija) and was able to change it from a former warehouse cum spare parts garage to a world class facility before 1999 when she got a different assignment. She did this in about 3 years with the help of many son's of Consolation as are prevalent in our ministry. How they procured the property and developed it into what it is today or how they have grown many satellite churches in and around that region is another days talk but the current Pastor of that church, Shola Olubode is a testimony to her grace.

It was in 1999 that she was given that assignment by her MOG (who happens to be her husband too) to go to the UK to help establish the church that was just burgeoning at the time. There's nothing more to say about that as the evidences of her grace is known to all who seeks the truth. She has taken what some may have referred to as a Ram shackle years back and turned it into what it is today and she has established many other churches around Europe and even part of the Americas.

Pastor Anita and Chris have always found time to see and train their Children together regardless of the pressures of ministry. I know this because apart from his words I am friends with a couple of people who know him to the point of walking in and out of his abode at will.

There was a time when one of their daughters all of a sudden could not walk and Pastor Chris kept speaking the word of God to her even when there was no physical change. He told us how he would have to travel and would tell his wife to keep speaking the word when he is away saying to the girl's legs "you would walk, you would run, you would jump". To cut a long story short, one day, the young girl shocked her parents as she leaped out of the car and ran to him when he took them to a mall.

I know of another time when he took his wife to Switzerland on their wedding anniversary. The workers in the hotel didn't recognise them till someone divulged the information to them. On the day they checked out, the whole staff of the Hotel including the management came to bid them farewell. But you would not know all this because it is not on the news.

I am aware that atleast once every year he travels out to spend time with his wife and kids (not only when Church programmes are on schedule) and I know that Pastor Anita is always in Nigeria (especially during IPPC) in November to see him amongst other things. My younger brother has helped in the white house (where the President of CEC stays) and on many occasions he ran into Pastor Anita. Besides, the names that were touted as "unmarried women working with him" is another vicious lie from his traducers.

The White House as we know it was built by the ministry and has various facilities suited to the ministry. The most important aspect of it is the Studio that Pastor Chris uses to host some of his question-answering sessions. If he had his way, he would never travel out of Nigeria and would rather preach from his studio. That's why I laugh when see posters calling him a gallivanter and saying he loves to travel around the world.

Pastor Deola Phillips (the outgoing CEO of CEC) and the present(the Medical doctor) are both women of God who have been in the ministry for more than 23 years. They are married women with Children and they are fully dedicated to the work of the ministry. It is wicked and insulting to regard them as "girls or part of Chris' itinerary" as if they are new. These women also love and respect Pastor Anita not just as a senior Pastor but as the wife of the president of the ministry.

I will continue shortly. . .

Dem dey pay you?

Nigerians and busybody...

Pastor Chris has a right to privacy in dealing with his marital issues. Easier said than done when you are always in the public eye.

That said, the level of 'mumuism' and 'follow-followism' among CEC members is appalling to say the least.

Is it Nigerian Christians or Christians in general? Why do certain Christians switch off their brains when it concerns matters of 'Churchianity'?

Reading the comments of these brainwashed fanatics only shows that Nigerian youths have a very looooooong way to go.

Just look at how potentials are wasted all in the name of Christianity?

Mein Gott!

Before any loud mouth, empty brain, slow-poke opens their odoriferous buccal cavity to spew trash, please know that I was in BLW (infact, pioneered BLW at a certain private University) attended Christ Embassy, hobnobbed with a few pastors there, e.t.c so I know the workings of CE.

i got this forwarded to me yesterday VERY THOUGHTFUL

"This was forwarded to me - "This is just the plain truth.....Hehehehehehe! EBOLA strikes "stone age" Africa. The entire continent, comprised largely of backward thinking people, is thrown into confusion. They were praying. Calling on God as usual. God doesn't drop vaccines or cures from heaven. I wonder why they can't get that into their thick skulls. EBOLA hit Africa in the 70s. The Americans took note. They developed a cure and locked it up in a wardrobe somewhere. A thinking society, a practical society, a sensible society. They solved the problem in the lab and not in the church or some other religious houses. They know the solution to problems is not by handing it over to God or casting it on Jesus or someothers. They found a cure and locked it away, for a day it will be needed. We were in church and , praying. So EBOLA hit West Africa and the entire continent became jittery. Hundreds died. America kept quiet. Two Americans got infected. The Americans opened their wardrobe, flew the cure to Africa and saved their citizens. The drug worked within minutes! The two citizens were saved. Not by prayers but by common sense preparation. God doesn't help the praying Africans with vaccines or cures. They die in their hundreds. It's because of their sins. What else will they say?The Americans don't help lazy minded Africans too. They make money with their vaccines, which praying Africans have to buy. Cos they won't spend their time taking the hard route to solve their problems. They will rather gather in special prayer grounds and ask God to intervene. But he does not. Except maybe through the money making Pharma companies in America. Such is the life of those who don't think!"
