So nobody is adressing the reasons why they mutinied? If these people are eventually killed, I will shift my sympathy to Boko Haram and will always be happy, a karma kind of, to all misfortunes that befell our inept leaders who think with their anus.

Dear Unilorin my Alma-mater, this, again is another first. Now, they have (the other trailing varsities) no choice than to follow. The trailing varsities had hitherto been perplexed and cluelessly perturbed as to how best to manage the scourge of Ebola in their community and but for this lead, would have probably delayed resumption or come up with something classless, unwitty and unhelpful.
The Better By Far Administrators are not going to allow even a lethal disease disrupt our smooth-sailing and "embarassingly" normal academic calendar!
It's been 3 years since I last promenaded your beautiful environment and meticulously designed walk-way but I'm still as proud and full of your admiration as I was 7 years ago as a Fresher.
Now, I have riled up your haters. They are gonna play down this lead with apocryphal comments but we can handle that. Keep making the news, holding the ace and let the haters keep on hating.Truly Better By Far!

The Igbo posters above me will still not learn. An "Nwa ofor" warned you people about not playing "politics correctly" but you still aren't listening and this is why you (Ndigbo) will never attain much political prominence in Nigeria.
If and when Jonathan gets a 2nd term, and paved way for an Igbo president to succeed him, who will vote him in? Themselves and their forced South-south family?

Celebrities / Re: Professional Sperm Donor Becomes Richest Man In Wyoming by NeuroBoss(m): 9:46am On Sep 13, 2014
The truth still, is that he sired tens of thousand of children and still got paid for it. Man made laws are immensely flawed. A man had a consensual relationship with a lady in which he cared for the lady and bought her gifts but resented being responsible for another addition, a baby. Human law calls him "an ordinary, responsible sperm donor "and even force him to take care of the mother and child in some climes. Now, a man is being celebrated under another counter law that violated the first and more dignified example. He even got paid and became rich and protected under some flawed law. I believed God thinks differently about this. We all should apologise to Barak Obama father he did the same thing with this guy, did not get paid but grossly insulted. The above named guy did the same thing, got paid, got rich, floated a company from it and got all the accolades just under an imperfect human law...God!

Education / Re: Why The Hate On University Of Ilorin? by NeuroBoss(m): 6:52pm On Sep 05, 2014
I'm a 2011 graduate of the Better by Far university. The vexation of the Unilorin haters is understandable. I used to hate Lionel Messi when C. Ronaldo was in Man Utd just because the former plays for a rival team when it is all glaring Messi is the naturally most gifted.
Without mincing facts, since 2002, Unilorin held the ace of leadership in Nigerian universities due to the firm legacies and structures of its last two Vice-chancellors.

THEIR GROUSE AGAINST US:
That Unilorin has been in operation 24-7-365 is a banal truth.
That Unilorin is the only Nigerian university where students don't get harrassed by lecturers is also known
That Unilorin pioneered the CBT system of examination and a model to others in ICT is also incontestable. This was done initially to curtail incidences of missing results which is inevitable where more than 500 students offer a course before other things were factored in.
Unilorin has the best e-registration platform.
That Unilorin students don't do Aluta so are presumed subjugated. Pray, where do sane people raise placards against a progressive, student-friendly yet assertive leadership.
That Unilorin happens to be in a Muslim enclave? Hell, I'm a Christian and Ilorin is not Pakistan. Nigerians of every tribe, creed and religion are in the school as students and staff to show its federal structure.

WHO HATES UNILORIN?
These people are in different categories. The first in these categories and infact the most bitter are the unfortunate former students who got expelled due to misconducts (yes, unilorin takes no shit), withdrawn due to overly low academic performance. We call them "Face Tanke".
People in the second categories were unsuccessful jambites and remedial students who tried many times to be initiated into "Better by Far" but were not that lucky and have since allowed bitterness to turn to perennial hatred and jealousy concocting various lies such as tribalism, religion and state of origin as reasons for their woes.
The third are just the pathetic students and graduates of other schools who can't just stand us reel out the uniqueness of our Alma mater in glowing terms. They say, "we too dey make mouth". Why we no go make mouth?
When we start something, they copy it.
In 2008, unilorin started a well-ordered student ID programme that made us to wear our ID cards like co-operate people do. The IDs were so structured that from the colour of the rope, you easily tell which faculty a particular student belongs to. And within a faculty, you can tell which department another is with the colour of the plastic casing. What did the copy-cats see this for? They went agog with starting theirs which is yet still not as sleek as Unilorin's.
As part of our convocation package, the school gives us a beautiful T-shirts with all the names of the graduands on it. Every unilorin graduate wear it on camp as if on cue thereby fostering our bonds, organisation and friendship in camp to their chagrin. Now, they have copied it.
I can go on and on but time and space will fail me.
If you have not had the Unilorin experience, your hate is understandable.
Unilorin is being run as Nigeria ideally is suppossed to be ran- innovative leadership, corrupt-free and a long term development plan.
My SUG presido in 2007 taught us a song which seems to spite the hatred.
It goes thus:
"Lèyin Ilórin kòsí varsity o
alágídí l'omo O.A.U,
lèyin kòsí varsity o,
area boys l'omo Unilag"

The haters have since multiplied from all the regions of the country.

Family / Re: Which Lady Is a 'Wife Material'? by NeuroBoss(m): 1:48pm On Sep 05, 2014
A wife material is that lady in your church, school, office, street etc who despite having earned a degree, travelled and lived abroad and enlightened, known her rights etc still allowed you to be a man albeit an african one by:

Being homely

Condoning your often brash flaring-ups and flaws silently without throwing her own legal rights to arguments at your face.

Having a knowledge of continental dishes and can still cook Efo rírò and Ofe aku
Using a skill or skills she possesses but you don't have in a way not to denigrate you but honour you.
Respecting your friends, siblings and family the traditional way.

Having an ambition and career target which is second to family (you and your children) except with your express permission. Not those white-washed actresses who would say,"any man who cannot marry me with acting should go away, my first love is acting" when asked if they could drop acting for marriage and the homefront. Any wonder they are still single at 40 and the married ones become single again so fast.
These are some of the things you should look out for in any woman you plan to marry though, any marriage can fail but these qualities have 70% success rates.

Education / Re: Best Nigerian Universities For Studying Medicine by NeuroBoss(m): 7:50pm On Sep 04, 2014
Afghanistan:
Forget that Unilorin o. I was a medical student there and I must say its really overrated. Insufficient classroom, poor conditions, poor structures and also, the lecturers. Majority of the lecturers no sabi anything as most of them are doctors who were just hired to take up lecturing to fill the gap. Imagine the HOD of a department who cannot speak good english and he calls himself a graduate of MB;BS and has a PHD in anatomy only to miseducate students in anatomy. That's why its very difficult to find professors there. Only a few professors. Another problem is the issue with departments. The college of medicine in unilorin don't have enough departments. They don't even have dentistry, physiotherapy, radiography and so on. Even nursing was just recently established. Despite all these, they keep on withdrawing students anyhow, destroying their careers all in the name of medicine. You just have to make the best of everything in this life and try to be successful in all endeavours. Just believe that you'll make it and with hardwork, you will.
Best Regards.

I'm sure you were one of the many "face Tanke" medical students who failed PHY 152, ZLY 103 etc and couldn't make 3.5 to cross to 200L. Or you were booted out along the line for lack of brainpower to carry on. Unilorin is not only one of the best in Medicine but one of the perennial best 3 universities in Nigeria for the past 12 years.
I know you were one of the "medicine wounded" as we called your type. I'm a zoology graduate of the Better By Far university and I know what I am saying. Factual and not influenced by sentiments.

Family / Re: What If You Just Found Out That Your Parents Ain't Really Your Biological Parent by NeuroBoss(m): 10:00pm On Sep 03, 2014
It wouldn't matter anyway. The natural bond will cease immediately and it would now be a kind of appreciative love for what they have done for me all the while (that is if they didn't steal me or factory-produced me).
As for the biological parents, they are as good as forgotten. They certainly didn't have any emotional connection with me so I won't reckon with them.

I would rather a chopper that I can tour wildlife in on a cosy weekend with wife and children when I become like Adenuga.
As a business executive who is time-conscious, I will hire on request.
I hate buying high-end depreciating liabilities or assets even phones which may cost 25k to replace it's broken screen. That 25k is enough to help a Federal Uni student pay his tuition in one year with a decent balance for upkeep.

I should have known that the bulk of Davido's fans are kids in their teens. It sorely pains them that their favourite star couldn't afford a jet just yet.
