You should have contributed in your own little way before this time. Even informing the house of your proposed course, prog or school alone may be resourceful to someone here. This house of full of nice people and they will share experiences with you. Someone with idea about off-campus accommodation in Canada will help you in a short while (If it has not yet been given) I trust members of this house for that ![]() To all guests wey dey always come take ideas without contribution, e no good ooo "Every on looker is either a coward or a traitor" I no knw whether it applies to u or not oooo. geotherm: @earthgreen, I have never been under this kind of academic pressure before, it is a highly demanding environment full of competition, I don't have choice but to adjust (naija factor). my PhD will offcially commence Jan, 2013 its funded, this means I have to switch schl, becos right now d program I am doing is not funded. The good thing about courses here compared to naija is that it is practical and up to date(current research work, ideas and technology) not archaic. Lecture notes changes every year although methods of teaching remains constant. The negative part is the relative performance part, meaning the percentage of class performance determines the pass and fail for e.g if the average of the class is 70% and you have 60% you fail and most times in our case here the class average is 75-80% meaning there is strong competition with majority of the class always above average. Sometimes sweet sometimes bitter. It is informative. Thank you. |
vanstanzy: Do what is expected of u, and u wont be criticized. But hell, everyone goes thru criticism one time or the other.+1 |
Heading to LSBF Toronto March 4th 2013 start date.
are u also going for ACCA? |
Are the medical results produced in France?
Test are carried out in Nigeria and results are gotten here, but will be 4warded to France for evaluation. (I stand to be corrected though) Then Medical department of Canadian Embassy in France will return the result to CDHC and if no issues, your TRV is approved shikenah! ![]() |
yep we do. he is my elder broda. wat can i do about d home ties.
Do you have any property in Nigeria and any dox to support this? Are you married? If no,do u have a common partner(i.e someone you have been living with for some years and you have agreed to get married) what is your employment status? employed or self-employed? If yes, then get a letter from your employer to back ur study leave and also assure u of employment on ur return. This will be applicable if ur proposed course is related to d field u r employed for. If not, find advert placements on journals, magazine etc needing the qualified bodies in your area of proposed course. ( @least to prove that your qualification from ur proposed course is useful back home) If you have a kind of business you are doing, you may include dox relating the business to you and the future of it. In your case, you may need statement of purpose to make this work. Also, I think getting copies of some travel dox from ur brova won't be harmful, but goes a long way. #mythoughtthough# cos, I've seen similar cases here using passports(copies) of their sponsor's outta 9ja as back-up and it works. It is good you let us know about your case, some other good lads in the house will throw in more suggestions soon. I wish you good luck. |
@newacca, I suggest you write a few ACCA exams here before you leave (may be F1,F2 and F3), at least it will bolster the impression that you are serious on the ACCA and that despite the hitch you are still 'pushing' to achieve your dreams. Stouffville most likely is better than all the ACCA tuition centres in Nigeria so i don't think that writing a few exams while you wait will undermine your case. #my thougths
Thanx so much TRV_IJN iAppreciate ur advice. I wish I could do that, but as I am sponsoring myself and I have to keep my business floating, I dare not now I belong to a school of thought that says: "What's worth doing @ all is worth doing well"If I am studying,I wanna face my studies and nothing else. If I am into biz,I wanna face my biz squarely and nothing comes btwn us.Though I am planning to change my prog when I get to Canada(In sha Allah). All d same thx for d tip. iAppreciate. |

@jethro2, This is a good move. I must commend your courage. You will know one,if you see a great Man. Yeah,I live in Abeokuta South LG and I am from Abeokuta North LG. I am a member of the Abeokuta Chamber of Commerce,Mine&Agriculture. The info. about the agric loan was brought to our chamber some months back. I think mid of the year. We were asked to fill a form with our Passport photo, that is all I hear or see since then. That is why I don't always rely on govt aid/grant cos the play politics alongside. Yet,this is our State, let's continue to explore till we get our own share of dividend of democracy. I subscribe to the Farmer's co-operative,even if the govt grant is not working. I like working and associating with great minds. I am an Entrepreneur and I am looking forward to investing in Agriculture in the nearest future. I can start from here. My e-mail: maplelandnewacca@yahoo.com Thanx |
