wuralulu: Marriage cert of my parents?dey r in dere 70s,can dey even find dat one sef,landed properties of my parents even if dey are not my sponsors?birth certs is also an issue,my dad is a retired career ambassordor,most of my siblings were not born in Niga,am planning to indicate dat some of dem who live abroad live in Niga in my form sef,so adding birth certs no go favor me,abi?

I dont think you need birth certificate of your siblings. Since they are not applying with you. I did not include my sibling's birth certificate neither did I include my parent's marriage certificate. Also,are your both parent's sponsoring you? If it is one of 'em,I don't think their marriage cert. is necessary. What of ppl whose parent's are divorced,separated or deceased? In my own view,I think marriage cert. is requested from those that r married and also those that are applying with their spouse. wetin dem wan take my parent matrimony do when I no dey go with my Pale and Male? Though I did not use it in my applications. But if you feel it is necessary for you to include it,no P.

i couldnt help but notice most of us remaining dint use our parents as sponsors, correct me if am wrong, does it mean they take extra time on such applications? wat do u guyz tink?

It does not really matter. Applications are treated according to your case and delay may be caused by lot of factor. i.e Verification of educational result,Background check,verification of sponsor's dox amongst other factors.

Don Cipher: @newacca welcome back; been a while. Please does CDHC send an email for medical call or trv to student's email besides the VAC web portal or is this just a randon case. Thnx

I think on his case,he had tracked the VAC portal after medics yet nothing comes up while he contacted CDHC and they responded to him that they had dispatched his dox to VAC.
I dnt think CDHC will send medical invite or TRV alert via e-mail. They expect u to get feedback from the medium u used when u applied.

dnpasion: Can you or someone tell me more about the Certification prog. I can go with when next am going? I know about a diploma course which I did in 2010 but it was a six month program and I have the cert. For the program. Can I go with this? What kind of work can I said have been doing since the completion of the computer traning course I did in 2010? Please more advice. Thanks

You can go with the certification just to prove in our on line with ur proposed course of study in the States. Dont 4get to sit for the SAT also. You may re-frame your point about working with your father's company like:
After your certification prog. an office was created for you at your Father's company to handle the computer unit/IT unit there,and you were paid a speculated amount of money as an incentive/motivation.
Just a suggestion though.

dnpasion: Went for my second interview today in lagos and the black american guy interviewed me but got denied again. I'm so sad and even got depressed ever than before.I wasn't nervous today and I gave all my answers without fear. Anyway here is how it all went:-
Vo: Good Afternoon

Vo: What are you going to do in the U.S?
Me: To Study
Vo: Major?
Me: Computer Science
Vo: Did you apply to other schools?
Me: Yes and I named them
Vo: Why those schools?
Me: Told him
Vo: Why XYZ uni?
Me: An academic excellence in a christ centered environment and the skool information technology department provide world class information resources,telecommunications,computing,networking tools and services to students to facilate learning and research.
Vo: Did you write SAT?
Me: Sir (didn't hear what he asked)?
Vo: Did you write SAT?
Me: No because it wasn't part of the school admission requirement

Me: I repeated myself again
Vo: how come u get admitted?
Me: told him I got admitted because I have a good O'level results and High School Transcript.
Vo: When did you finished from High?
Me: 2009
Vo: What have you been doing since then?
Me: Doing a voluntary job as a secretary at my dad's company.
Vo: Typing and the next thing I heard is that (Sorry I can't grant you).

House this is how it all went but I believe I was denied because I didn't write SAT. I don't know what to do now because I'm so depressed and sad.

Sorry about your refusal. You should have provided a letter backing you up against the SAT. (Exemption)
You want to study Computer science,you finished from High school in 2009,and you were doing voluntary job as a Secretary at your Dad's company. As chap that is intelligent and got good grades from high school and wanna study in Comp.Science in the states,why can't you get yourself familiar with the field with certification prog. and practical skills and get it documented rather than sitting in your Dad's company as a Secretary,even without any fixed pay. The VO may think you are not smart enough. He may think your intent is not genuine. (Just my thought though)
Try work on this areas and fire again if you can. Good luck.

iluminati: @ Wemi85, never you submit any document from somebody in canada proofing that u will stay with them in toronto. My reason is this.. U must have stated in ur form that u dont hace relatives or family member in canada. 2. cDHC will check the staus of those ur people accommodating u there and maybe they went as student or visiting and stayed and never came back so cdhc will feel they will influence u or u have relative but u are hidding it b4. 3. Your best solution is.. Just get a letter from george brown that they dont offer campus accommodation and print out their site where it is proven there also write a letter that george brown only offer home stay and u cannot pay for home stay untill the family u are going to stay with sees u live. This will help.

All those that are awaiting medical and those that have done medicals and r awaiting visa,God that started it will complete his good work. Those that were refused,try again in a different way. Delay is never a denial. Try Plan B if you have. but bear in mind that God has better plans for everyone.
