Renew and get a longer duration. When applying for your family, you can submit proof of your own visa. Why plan to renew next year when you have the opportunity to get a longer duration now?

I applied last year for visit visa on request of the company I work for over there. Long story short, I was denied. According to someone here, it was likely because the Dom account I used (which was my salary account) was less than 6 months, just about 5 months then.

Now I want to apply again for visit visa for my wife and myself. I have enough in my account for the two of us and I am looking at applying this time for 2 years.

And yes, to disprove you I booked on hold (on Qatar) and it went through. You don't need to visit their office to make payment.

Generally, they will have to apply and indicate why they need to stay another 6 months and prove that they have the funds to support their stay in Canada (this will mean proof of finances, employment, or that of the spouse/partner). What about the children? Why are they out of school for 12months?

They can't be supported by Canada as they are temporary visitors so how do they intend to manage this?

That 20kCAD would be better spent on a course that allows your family's legal presence in Canada as the idea of paying for LMIA sponsored jobs smells like a scam and might mean they end up losing that money.

Not sure it will help.

The details have been shared with the agent whose email is on your application. Do note that even if you write to them, I doubt they'll release information to you. They usually will ask that you write to them from the email registered in your IRCC file.

I suspect they didn't release the AWB to you for this reason. But again, write to them and see if it helps.

Right now, you need to push the agent as I don't think trying to change email or contact details now will work as your application status might be closed due to final action has been taken already (i.e. visa issuance)

PS: Exercise caution when following up esp if you didn't declare an agent submitted on your behalf. We've seen a refusal from someone who failed to declare this and this refusal was sent after he received PPR. However, if you declared this, do push them for a response via email

Apparently we gave 14days PAP notice for re - consideration and if they had not reply within the 14days we would have pushed forward for JR in court.
So they basically looked at the evidence before them and look at the rules of law that was raised and they did agree that a reconsideration on the refusal should be permitted, they could have come back to tell us they are not re-considering it and we should go to any court here on Earth or beyond as they won’t overturn it.

So from now and the next three months they may or not ask for more evidence or they may ask them to go and submit their passports.

But if they come up with another refusal/rejection after the consideration and if it is challengeable we definitely going to but if not, we will re - apply and that gives us a good edge and with this PAP history will be there and we will Submit more evidence(s) to show madness full ground ( lol) but we hoping that won’t be the case.
So we are patiently waiting.

I will definitely keep in touch with the outcome so to help others who are willing or not sure about going through this ROUTE.

It says they'll be contacted within 3 months with the outcome. Does it mean it was approved as it doesn't expressly state this. I understood it as the decision will be reviewed in the next 3 months following the information your legal rep shared they'll be contacted with a decision.

We challenged the ECO decision last month for reconsideration, like I said previously it is not all the ECO that knows what he or she is doing, some roasted me for that statement, I have seen so many refusals that made absolute no sense, they are humans, they have hormones too we have the bad eggs among them who just refuse you based on flimsy excuse(s).
I didn’t take the second refusal likely, as there was no difference between the previous refusal which was last year, and the this recent one and it is based on financial grounds( enough sufficient funds with proof). (Looked more like a copy and paste to me ) Pre action protocol (PAP) was sent to the home office giving them 14days to reconsider before taking it further to court for JR.
They responded on the 14th day and yes a senior caseworker in his/ her right senses looked at the evidence submitted and he/she did agreed it was sufficient enough to grant the entry clearance visiting visa in the first place.
If we had accepted fate and re - apply the third time it MAY be refused again and that is too much dent, although they claim every new application(s) is decided based on its merit but I do not want to believe they do not look at your past history with them in concluding.
So fingers crossed on when my aunt and her children will be asked to bring their passports, it shouldn’t take up to 3months sha.
Sometimes you just have to push some buttons.

You were clearly asked if it was a tourist visa you sought as France doesn't have a digital nomad visa and all employment related visas require residence permits.

Go physically to the agent and push to get the tracking details.

Try the chat with your email tomorrow and see if anything comes from it.

unfortunately I don't have the email that was used for the application...the agent also feels so relaxed about the whole thing,he keeps saying that the passport will be delivered to him that I should stop being in a hurry or rushing things...the truth is that I am a bit worried cos this passport was forwarded to VFS since 7th July and the tracker message is saying passport couriered to courier service partner on the 24th of July... you see why I am worried and restless.

Why is the agent not following up? This is a simple task that just requires some follow up.

Are you sure the agent didn’t receive the tracking number as VFS sometimes share it if requested.

Nothwithstanding, if you have the email used in the application, you can use that and your name to chat with VFS i.e. follow these steps tomorrow:

1. Click on 'chat now' from this page
- https://visa.vfsglobal.com/nga/en/can/contact-us#

2. When asked to fill in your details such as name etc, use the agent's email that was used in the application

3. When connected to an agent, give them your tracking number and request for the UPS tracking number

Since the chat channel is usually busy, keep trying till you connect to an agent.

One more question please..will the fact that I have not been the one receiving correspondences on this application affect this inquiry? Before now,the agent has been the one receiving messages..even PPR letter.

Do you have the UPS tracking number?

If not, chat with VFS team tomorrow for this and contact UPS with further delivery instructions.

This is straight forward. If VFS confirms passport has been forwarded to courier, what else do you need?

I have just seen multiple messages from you on this without any further decisive action to resolve this despite guidance from others. There's nothing anyone here can do to help other than provide information (which has been done).

in my own case they are saying that they have already couriered the passport to their courier service partner...are you saying the passport is still there and that they won't return it via courier despite the fact I paid for that?

Someone shared a few pages back, a similar case (paid for longer term visa & was issued 6months) and it took 2 days to rectify.

It's better to do this before using it.

Thank you. He is afraid to take it back because he is scheduled to travel on the 15 of August, and he doesn't think he will get back the passport before his travel date on 15 of August. He bought his ticket already and is nonrefundable.

Can he travel now and alert them when he gets back in September?

Flexi appointment as defined by TLS is "You can arrive at the Visa Application Centre at any time during opening hours on the day of your appointment...."

I know I have read here about people who were able to walk-in regardless of their appointment dates and were attended to, so might be worth trying if urgent.

Do note however that this is peak period for visa applications (summer holidays, student visas etc.) and this might affect how TLS responds to your attempt.

For somebody that paid for Flexi Appointment and booked for next Thursday(3/08) but later got chance on Monday 31/07. Can the person go for biometric on Monday even when he's having Thursday reflecting on his bio page? I try amending it to Monday but seems it's not going back? Can I go to the TLS centre on Monday since I paid 44k for the Flexi appointment??

I'm a bit more drastic in my approach and will cancel and restart an application for my peace of mind.

If she isn't staying with this family during her visit, you can include a cover letter with any proof with the family (pictures etc.) to acknowledge the error made.

Since you have a valid immigrant visa, you technically shouldn't have any problem as the requirement simply states one must hold either a residence permit or visa.

Alot of people always point accusing fingers at agent, forgeting that some of these applicants themselves have criminal intent. I remember last year when i was in the midst of someone who was traveling , and a conversation came up about one of his friends, then we got talking and asked him about his travel plans. Inbetween, he said something like he was preparing some legal and police report to withdraw his passport from Vfs.

This one, there was no agent. The applicant himself falsified documents and applied for a visa. This is just one out of many cases, but when anyone want to talk, they will say Agent, as if they were not part of it.

With due respect to the previous respondent, Ashiri , and others, I just tot it was necessary to rely this here, no intent to undermine or disrepute whatever post that was earlier sent.

Just to add, we know alot of people usually want the services of an agent because one major reason, which is bank statement or documents. When applicants cannot present or tender required documents for their visa applications, this is where we usually see instances where forgery becomes an option.

However, systems has changed and the embassies are even more smarter and equipped to handle these re occuring incidences.
what we should encourage people to always to do, is to take time to build their travel inventories such as financial status, documentations, gather requisite informations via their sub platforms about applications such as vfs and maybe nairaland. You can send mails if you need info.

This can go along way to reduce the cases, because when people talk about visa rejections or denials , especially for France , Germany and they add it to the decisions" Information regarding documents provided could not be verified" . Like a norm for most of them, it shows the level of distrust and disbelieve with whatever document you submit to these embassies, thereby making certain visas very difficult to attain,even when your intentions are genuine.

Lastly, the word agent is big. Because it cut across many professions, the perception that all agent are same is not correct. If you ever met a genuine and reliable travel consultant, you did find yourself very lucky.

There alot of honest "agent" out there.

You need a US visa. To get one, complete a DS 160 form (https://ceac.state.gov/genniv/), then pay for and choose an interview date.

As the closest interview dates are in 2024, best for you to book another itinerary without a US transit OR a double stopover in Europe.

Short of switching browsers, clearing cache and restarting your phone, I'm unsure if there's more to be done as I can access the IRCC portal and tracker on my phone, so this doesn't seem like a general problem.

Yes. At the most, i advise you add a few days for rest/sightseeing .

You can change your return date to a later one after your conference as travel plans change.

Might be too short but ask if the school can do this or if there's another proof they can share with you for your interview: a receipt, an official letter on the school letterhead than can be attached to your CAS.

Most Importantly, make the payment ASAP and start chasing for additional proof/supporting documents for this.

These arbitrary numbers don't help in discussions and don't drive home any reasonable point.

For genuine travellers ( and others), you need to prep for possible questions and ensure you have the right documentation. Entry into any country is at the discretion of their border police so to reduce/eliminate the risk of rejection, PREP!

I've seen people on here asking about crazy scenarios e.g. getting a 4 month return flight booking on a '3 day conference travel purpose' and whilst I don't have the numbers on this, I can only believe that some of the harsher encounters people complain about is driven by historical abuse of the visas.

We need to push more accountability on fellow travellers especially around things we can control.

Both - Introduction letter is part of employment docs showing your own your own business (people have the secretary sign it, search this forum for samples). Cover letter details your travel purpose, itinerary & other relevant details.

+ sponsorship letter for your children.

Your introduction letter (if any) from your workplace should be on your official letterhead.

However, others can be written without as they are not sponsored trips warranting use of official docs.
