Islam for Muslims / Re: Why Are Imams Not Condeming Boko Haram? -cbn Reports Video by newmi(m): 4:56pm On Mar 03, 2012 |
This is infact the very question as far as am concern this is the golden opportunity they have to justify their claims of one Nigeria. They should encourage the rest of the country to embrace living together by coming to speak out openly against this MADNESS CALLED BOKO HARAM |
Religion / Re: Should People Fall Down When A Pastor Lays Hand On Them? by newmi(m): 1:22pm On Mar 02, 2012 |
It is not a question of "should they fall" because that has an underlining implication to mean that people have a role in the process that led to their falling, rather the question should be "why or what makes or is responsible for making people fall when hands are laid on them". AND MIND YOU IT IS NOT AN EXCLUSIVE EVENT THAT HAPPENS ONLY WHEN A "PASTOR" LAYS HIS HANDS ON SOMEONE BECAUSE IN THE FIRST PLACE PEOPLE DON'T FALL BECAUSE THE ONE DOING THE HANDS LAYING IS MERELY A PASTOR(with all due respect) I HAVE HAD PEOPLE FALL WHEN HANDS WHERE LAID ON THEM AND YET AM NOT A "PASTOR" BECAUSE YOU SEE THESE THINGS ARE NOT THE DOINGS OF A MAN BUT AN EXCLUSIVE MANIFESTATION OF THE BENEVOLENCE AND OPERATIONS OF GOD'S SPIRIT. ALSO ANOTHER IMPORTANT NOTE IS THAT PEOPLE DON'T FALL (that is when they do because they don't also have to fall for anyone to be convinced something divine has taken or is taking place) ONLY WHEN HANDS ARE LAID ON THEM EVEN WHEN NO HANDS ARE LAID AT ALL FROM HUGE DISTANCES BRCAUSE GOD IS A SPIRIT AND DOES NOT RECOGNIZE THE LIMITATIONS THAT ARE INDICATIVE AND PECULIAR TO MAN |
Religion / Re: Tithes, Offerings And First Fruits - Do They Apply To Us As Christians? by newmi(m): 1:04pm On Mar 02, 2012 |
FXKing2012:Thats a simple one! How else can you link it when you go to your pastor and say "pastor please l want to sow such and such into your life and such and such is/are my expection" and then prays and agrees with you trusting God for that specific miracle and praise to God those words pronounced during prayer fructifies to reality oh now we have a testimony so would you link that to anything other than singular act of faith? Most times most people ask these kind if questions to discredit the role the pastor or spiritual leader plays in the church today which in itself is terriblely misleading FXKing2012:Who says Pastors don't give infact the Pastor is the first giver the quintessence of what he preaches. Perhaps you should confess you haven't seen or heard of one which doesn't automatically imply that they don't |

Okija_juju:Without any attempt to gain say or discredit those testimonies which in themselves may be true but even judas who cast out devils as a disciple of Jesus caught himself off guard and what happened he ended up fulfilling scripture wrongly as Satan took advange and in scripture even Jesus Himself described him as "the son of perdition". The devil doesn't recognize titles, how long yoy may have been a christian or what and what you have done in the faith if he believes that he can still defeat Jesus Christ then believing he can us isn't a matter for him thats why Jesus said (King James 2000 Bible (©2003)) Mark 14:38 "Watch and pray, lest you enter into temptation. The spirit truly is ready, but the flesh is weak" Satan is an opportunistic being so he is always relentlessly seek out opportunities to steal, kill and to destroy. (New Living Translation (©2007)) 1Peter 5:8 "Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour" Also it is impirtant that we recognize that in the world there are many voices King James Bible 1 Corinthians 14:10 "There are, it may be, so many kinds of voices in the world, and none of them is without signification" |

People's lives are precious to God and He greatly regards the human soul as priceless and an inestimable treasure. John 3:16 "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life" |

1John 4:11 "Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love" It has become a norm for almost anybody to use such words as ". . . oh the Holy Spirit said l should do or say so and so. . . oh God said so and so. . ." well the point is any action or word that contradicts what the bible teaches is automatically unacceptable period. |

Even as a child not knowing much in scripture my mother thought us how to give; tithes, offerings, and even sowing into the life of the pastor and more importantly praying for the pastor and as l grew l particularly observed certain previlleges l enjoyed you knon certain preferences and inexplicable deliverances from accidents, sicknesses, and even mass victimization. Its really amazing |

Why would l listen to either when the bible is there and if anyone presents the bible as proves for certain points made it would be gross folly not to give considetations and personally l don't think anybody here can ague that Joagbaje has a problem with providing sufficient bible references to strengthen his aguments. Nonetheless the Bible remains my number one point of reference and thank God l have copies |

Religion / Re: Happy Birthday To Pastor Anita by newmi(m): 1:50pm On Feb 26, 2012 |
There are numerous testimonies of the triumph of her faith both as a wife, a mother and a Pastor of Pastors and Brethren alike. l remember a testimony of how she supported her husband during their early days in ministry when on this particular occassion her hunband had been invited to minister in a church and during the service an announcement was made with regards to a need in that local assembly and Pastor Anita and Her husband made up their mind to give to meeting that need in that local church and they both commited themselves to a pledge of 1million naira now the interesting thing was that prior to this time they haven't seen that sum of an amount and they obviously didn't have it. But together they prayerfully worked and redeemed that pledge to that church and that was their first 1million naira seed a demonstration of true faith. |

Pastor Anita ma it is with unreserved, unrestrained, unequivocal, unmitigated, unqualified, unambiguous and forthright joy that l and the likes of me the globe over wish you ma a spledid and happy birthday with unlimited celebrations from every part of the world. Pastor Anita is the quintessential, classic, paradigmatic, impeccably fabulous and unequally sterling emblem of the iconic figure of who a true virtuous woman is as presented in Proverbs 31:10-31. "l love you ma and we are praying for you because you have immeasureably, indefatigably, relentlessly, inexhaustibly, assiduously and unfalteringly influence the lives our many all over the world." |

Religion / Rochas Okorocha Wins The Most God Fearing And Successful Governor by newmi(m): 10:25am On Feb 24, 2012 |
His. Excellency the Executive Governor of Imo State Governor Rochas Owele Okorocha for me wins the undisputed award and recognition for the most God fearing governor in Nigeria. I am ceaseless always facinated and constantly inspired by his style of leadership which is undoubtedly second to none in Nigeria, also almost always he doesn't waste anytime to relentlessly turn every meeting, seminar, gathering, retreat etc to a service. With all his successes l have never seen any politician who always, unreservedly, unequivocally and unapologetically consciously takes timeout to recognize the role of God in his life and successes while also expressing his dependency and reliance on God for the expected success of his administration. Am not supprise the record of successes we hear everyday steming out of Imo State, for instance in Imo State it is reported that Education is free no PTA fees are collected from students, infact students are paid for going to school even though the amount look little but its an enormously huge step in the right direction and a leadership role in the Federation at large. Also while other states in the Federation are fighting and struggling with a minimum wage of N18,000 in Imo State works were greeted during the Governors planed dialog session with civil servants the first of its kind in that state, with news that their minimum wage in Imo State is N20,000 l mean can you beat that? Infact that is a big gap and distance to catch up with for many other states. As if that was not enough as an icing on the cake this N20,000 minimum wage was back dated to take effect from April, 2011. Recently, l watched His Excellency during a workshop organized for his executive introduce his postulated economic theory one he called "ROCHANOMICS" which has the crusifics as its symbol and diagramatic representation. I was deeply touched to hear that he feeds and trains about 5000 children most of whom were adopted and he sacrificed about N2billion of his security vote so as to fund most of these brilliant project. In his words ". . . it is a miracle that people still call me a big man today. . . " AM A FAN OF ROCHAS OWELE OKOROCHA BECAUSE I APPRECIATE GOOD THINGS AND RECOGNIZE THOSE WHO ARE MAKING GIANT STRIDES THAT ARE NOTEWORTHY. HE IS A GREAT MAN AND WE ALL SHOULD CELEBRATE AND PRAY FOR HIM BECAUSE HE IS AN ANSWER TO THE PRAYERS OF MANY AND GOD IS USING HIM TO SET A GOOD EXAMPLE FOR OTHER POLITICIANS TO FOLLOW AND EMULATE. LIFE IS WELL LIVED WHEN A GIVING IS MADE |
Religion / Re: True Christians Ma Stu Rbate by newmi(m): 8:34am On Feb 23, 2012 |
The issue of Onan was a very simple one, God had already set in motion a process of actualizing His pronouncement He had made in Genesis Chapter 3 where said ". . . the seed of the woman would bruise the head of the serpent. . . " Genesis 3:15 "And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your seed and her seed; he shall bruise your head, and you shall bruise his heel" now this was a process that would usher in the "second and last Adam" who was to be man's redemptive package. So God was busy raising to Himself a godly seed that explains why he wanted and chose Isreal as a nation separated and dedicated to Himself and little wonder why Satan also didn't sit fallow and idle he got his hands dirty and busy making frantic efforts to pollute the human race because you see now he is aware the prophecy says ". . . the seed of the woman. . . " which by implication means that that redemptive package has to be a man born of a woman so since he lacked all the details he embacked on what l would call " a systematic random offentive" In Genesis the bible speaks of "the sons of God coming to make children with the daughters of men" Genesis 6:4 "There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown" so now onan was seemingly the last option for the "continuity" of that process but when he thought and considered that according to tradition, the first child from that union wasn't going to be his the bible says he spilled it on the ground he acted deviant to the plan |
