Secondly, True, the scholars of Islam are divided on the ruling of masturbation. In fact, a great Islamic scholar wrote a whole book explaining that one can masturbate if he can't get married so as to avoid fornication. He argued at length in his book and his arguments are interesting. Not because he's supporting masturbation but because of his mastery of Islamic texts and style of debate.

However, what matters most in the end is proof not opinions or debate. If an opinion is in line with the Quran and the Sunnah, we accept it. If it isn't inline with the Quran and the Sunnah, we reject it irrespective of the Calibre of the person who gave that verdict.

As Imam Malik said:

Everyone's opinion is subject to acceptance and rejection except the one on this grave (and he pointed to the grave of Allaah's messenger -صلى الله عليه وسلم-)

That is because Allaah said:

Nor does he(Muhammad -صلى الله عليه وسلم- speak of (his own) desire.

It is only a revelation that is revealed (to him).

Allaah praised the believers thus:

Except from their wives or (the captives and slaves) that their right hands possess, for then, they are free from blame;

Since there isn't war captives anymore, every form of sexual gratification outside wedlock is blameworthy and a form of transgression. And that obviously includes masturbation.

This is the opinion of Imam Shaafi'ee and majority of Islamic scholars, past and present.

And Allaah alone knows best.

That benefit of tawakkul is that you won't seek solution in what Allaah has made Haram. Such as visiting churches and shrines in times of difficulty or engaging in fraud because you're broke.
